had an amazing time, staff were friendly and always super helpful, we got a lovely room and the bed was the comfiest of the 4 hotels we stayed in over our trip, also the best shower and pressure! loved the vibe, the bar in the basement was open till 1am on sunday. check out was easy, held our bags while we shopped all day, remembered our faces, ordered our cab which was SO nice. paid for it with them instead of the driver. best nights sleep we had all trip. love the sliding door feature for the bathroom we got a complimentary bottle of red wine, but neither of us can drink red so we left it, but im sure it would have also been lovely.

Nous avons passé quatre nuits au Josefine. Le service de navette était efficace. L'accueil de l'hôtel chaleureux. Arrivé dans la chambre, nous sommes accueillis par une carte manuscrite et personnalisée, ainsi qu'une bouteille de vin rouge ! Super ! Le cadre est splendide, il y a des détails sympathiques un peu partout, et le jazz dans les enceintes ajoute un plus à l'ambiance tamisée. Pas de restaurant, mais un bar... Et quel bar ! Je n'avais jamais vu une liste de cocktails, de rhums et de whisky aussi longue.

Really enjoyed our 2 night stay at Hotel Josefine. The hotel has a very cute retro decor. We were promptly greated when we arrived and the staff gave us a complimentary bottle of sparkling rose! The bartenders at the hotel bar, barflies, were awesome!

Lovely staff and property transports guests to the 1920’s with beautiful decor and design apparent with each turn or view. Breakfast (you may select from items such as a freshly prepared omelet, yoghurt with fruit, mini pancakes with fruit and crème, to name a few items) is absolutely delicious with very attentive staff. In the same dining area, the hotel’s bar, called The Barfly, is open during the evenings and employs a relaxing ambiance and a drink menu as thick as a Mark Twain novel. Upon entering the room to begin my stay, I was greeted by soft tunes from the radio and an amazing view from my windows of Baroque architecture across the mostly quiet street. I highly recommend this property to solo travelers or couples. Within 3-4 minutes of walking distance to the U3, Hotel Josefine is a fantastic base out of the city center and busy traffic to call “home” after days and nights of exploring Vienna.

Room felt like small apartment. Enjoyed decor 1920s . Excellent restaurant for dinner very near hotel. Many bakeries sandwich shops. Excellent Breakfast in hotel. Jazz music in common areas could be improved. Would benefit from non vocal additions.All staff had adequate English. Only drawback constant music usually vocal from 1930s in common areas. Choice jazz could be improved.

This property over delivered in every way from the customer service, cleanliness, and room. I stood in the suite, it was absolutely incredible. Die Josephine definitely made my Vienna trip a trip to remember for a lifetime.

Hotel exceptionally clean, staff and attention to detail was perfect. Room was elegantly designed and silent, pillows the only problem, one too large, one too thin, both uncomfortable to use. Breakfast was superbly balanced and fulfilling. Hotel very close to the U3, and your in Vienna centre in 10 mins. Overall, we had a wonderful stay her and would certainly return, only negative as mentioned id the pillows.

The location is absolutely perfect—just a minute’s walk from the supermarket, a subway station, and the renowned Mariahilfer Strasse shopping street. The staff? Simply incredible. I was there to celebrate my birthday, and little did I know, my family had contacted the hotel to let them know about the special occasion. When I entered my room, I was greeted by balloons on the bed, heartfelt letters from my family and friends, and even a cake from the hotel. One day, I accidentally got the dining room’s hours mixed up and arrived about 15 minutes before closing. The dining staff quickly arranged an exceptional meal for me. I loved the decor in this hotel. The staff was absolutely amazing from the second we walked in to the moment we left. They left such an impression and I would absolutely stay here again. The only thing I did not like was that because the hotel is located next to a bar, it was pretty noisy at night right outside our window. Besides that it was absolutely fantastic.

Hotel Josefine is a quirky unique hotel that is fun to stay at. There are little extras like a bottle of wine and water in your room at check in, a funny little diary to document your adventures, and a vibe that strives to be slightly psychedelic and bizarre. The rooms are clean and cozy; the beds and pillows are very comfortable; the staff is very kind and helpful. We loved both the unique lounge with its turntable and record collection, and the amazing Barflys bar in the basement. Special shout out to bartender Lucas who is incredibly kind as well as skilled and knowledgeable about his profession, and taught us about Austrian spirits. The small downsides of the hotel might be the small room size and relative lack of privacy in the in-room lavatory -- you just need to make sure you're staying with someone whom you know very well! Other than that, we had a wonderful visit and would definitely recommend this hotel to those looking for something a bit out of the ordinary.

Great hotel but the original room was too small so I paid money to get a new double room. The rooms they have with single beds did not fit my needs but ok for my friends. I was perfectly happy after I paid to put myself in a bigger room

This is a very quirky but absolutely charming property! The staff is attentive, available and helpful. The rooms are creatively small (which would make a longer stay challenging) but you will not find a more romantic and fun getaway! Highly recommend this hotel (and opt in for the breakfast option!)

This was my second visit, and once again I was impressed. The location is perfect, and every staff member was very kind and welcoming. On this trip, I felt their hospitality even more strongly. Especially Hanna, one of the staff members, was so helpful and warm that I still remember her name. If you are visiting Vienna, I highly recommend staying here – you will truly enjoy the experience!

The location is absolutely perfect—just a minute’s walk from the supermarket, a subway station, and the renowned Mariahilfer Strasse shopping street. The staff? Simply incredible. Every single person went above and beyond to ensure I felt completely at ease. I was there to celebrate my birthday, and little did I know, my family had contacted the hotel to let them know about the special occasion. When I entered my room, I was greeted by balloons on the bed, heartfelt letters from my family and friends, and even a cake from the hotel. Close the metro. 20minutes to the city centre. Excellent breakfast. Other than high street shops - not much close to the hotel. A metro ticket is essential to get I to the historic centre but this is reflected in the price. Very pleasurable holiday.

Breakfast (you may select from items such as a freshly prepared omelet, yoghurt with fruit, mini pancakes with fruit and crème, to name a few items) is absolutely delicious with very attentive staff. In the same dining area, the hotel’s bar, called The Barfly, is open during the evenings and employs a relaxing ambiance and a drink menu as thick as a Mark Twain novel. Upon entering the room to begin my stay, I was greeted by soft tunes from the radio and an amazing view from my windows of Baroque architecture across the mostly quiet street. I highly recommend this property to solo travelers or couples. Hotel exceptionally clean, staff and attention to detail was perfect. Room was elegantly designed and silent, pillows the only problem, one too large, one too thin, both uncomfortable to use. Breakfast was superbly balanced and fulfilling. Hotel very close to the U3, and your in Vienna centre in 10 mins. Overall, we had a wonderful stay her and would certainly return, only negative as mentioned id the pillows.

This is a very nice hotel close to everything. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful. There is also a bar downstairs that claims to have 1400 different types of whisky. I was very satisfied with my stay and would love to return to this hotel. Highly recommended!!

This hotel has lots of personality and style. Comfortable rooms and beds. A great location (quiet street but just around the corner from a metro station and easy walking to conveniences like a grocery, coffee shops, ATM, bakeries).
