Duke East Campus 1BR Downtown Walking Distance

Amazing location in Durham, walkable and pretty. Neighborhood is a mix of places. This property is adequate but could be so so much cuter with a little more care. Linens outdated and kitchen pretty bare. Still, comfortable enough and happily took our dog. Heavy use of air fresheners that felt suffocating upon arrival but we aired the place out. All in all a good stay.

This was the worst experience. I arrived at my rental only to find it occupied! The host sent me to an unacceptable second property. The second property was smoke permeated, it had no soap, the toilet seat was missing. I asked for a refund after the first night, but after accusing me of not vacating the property (which was not me), the host quit communicating. Unfortunately, I did not pay for my second booking through VRBO so I am just out of the funds. Horrible experience.

This was a great place to stay! Lovely area within walking distance to many great spots, and the property itself was wonderful and very relaxing.

Property was essentially as advertised and in the area we needed access to. Furniture in LR was positioned awkwardly however - not like the pictures and overhead lighting was harsh. Could do with a few floor lamps and another bedside stand with lamp. Otherwise we had a good experience and owners were very responsive.
