Room at the Top- Dog Friendly Mountain Cabin!

This was a beautiful house on top of the mountain with two gorgeous decks. The house was very clean and included everything needed for your stay.

The home was well-appointed, clean, and had plenty of space. Nice appliances, including a wine fridge. The deck faces the mountains and you can see a little of Clayton below. It faced West so you can just sit out there, chill out and watch the sun set behind the mountains. The location was convenient to Clayton and many trails, vineyards, and other Mtn towns. I would definitely book there again.

The pictures of this place don’t do it justice. The view is incredible from both the upper and lower balcony. The hosts were extremely helpful with the check in process and even had recommendations of things to do in the area. The cabin is decorated very nice with everything labeled. They had several extra items to use such as cozy blankets, camping supplies, toiletries, etc. All the linens were good quality and beds were Comfy! Highly recommend a stay here!

This is a must stay property for those wanting to visit a small town mountain area in a beautifully well maintained home. The home was perfect with all the necessary amenities and much more. It is apparent the owners put a great deal of attention to ensuring it was stocked with all the little things that are forgotten items to pack or not considered. This is our first visit to Clayton, Georgia and we are already planning another long weekend here in the near future. Clayton offers endless waterfalls in the local vicinity, state parks, hiking, great eateries, and scenic drives. We highly recommend The Market at Clayton, Fortify Pi, Universal Joint, and the carrot cake at the Valley Cafe made in-house. The home is well maintained and well stocked. We hiked all day and ate at local diners so we missed out taking pleasure sitting by the fireplace or firepit and using the grill. There is so much seating outside on the balconies and large TVs to enjoy. We had beautiful morning and evening views of the mountains from the balconies. Kids will definitely have a blast with the pool table, dart board, games, TV, etc., in their own space downstairs. We have stayed at many vacation properties and this is a number 1!! There is not a single amenity that was missed. Thank you for a memorable stay at a great location. You are definitely a pro with providing every need for your customer.

Both balconies offer incredible views and ample seating. We discovered amazing hiking trails close by. Town is only a short drive away with access to restaurants and stores. Best of all, the property is quiet! The only sounds we heard every morning as we enjoyed our coffee on the balcony, were the sounds of roosters and the wind blowing through the trees. The owners are timely with their communication. Check-in and check-out instructions were very easy to follow. The house is spacious, clean and immaculate!

Our family loved the cabin! The main bedroom was large with a comfortable bed so we slept well. The downstairs area was fun with a pool table, darts, and games. The cabin is decorated with current trends and nice touches throughout. A Christmas Tree was set up for us which we really appreciated. There was a cabinet set up with everything needed for outdoor adventures-hiking gear, blankets, bug spray etc. which came in handy as we went on a hike everyday. There are many beautiful places to hike nearby all within a twenty minute or less drive.Groceries are close too. The road leading to the cabin is a bit narrow and bumpy so we just drove extra-slow. We stay in a mountain cabin every year and we really enjoyed our stay here.

Beautiful, private porch with a stunning mountain view. Property was VERY CLEAN and homey. Great downstairs kids area with lot of games...our kids loved the bunk beds. Host was receptive to several questions we had throughout our stay and our need for a repair man. We appreciated the ammenities provided, such as basic pantry staples, laundry detergent, laundry stain removal spray, etc. We hope to be back next summer!

It was a great place to see all that the area has to offer from the Tallulah Gorge (beautiful!) to Highlands NC where the kids when snowtubing at the Highlands Outpost! We hope to be back. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this cabin. The views were amazing any time of day. The beds were very comfortable. We appreciated having a well-stocked kitchen, as well a items, such as a backpack, to use on our hike, and the marshmallow sticks to make smores. All of the drawers/cabinets were labeled with the items in them, which we found helpful. When we arrived, there were a couple of lightbulbs that had burned out. The property owner, Justin Bone, was prompt in coming out to replace them. We enjoyed meeting and talking with him. Thank you for making this a great Fall Break vacation!

Loved the cabin, beautiful view and the accommodations were very nice. Lots of room. My only complaint was the path to get to the cabin. Definitely, follow the directions given. Its a one lane road. We truly had a great experience but the gravel road was more challenging than expected.

We loved our time at Screamer mountain! The house was well appointed and spacious, plenty of room for our family of 5. My kids really loved the book selection. We were close to groceries and restaurants (we highly recommend The Rusty Cycle) and not far from great outdoor fun in Tallulah Gorge and rafting the Chattooga. The roads to the house are very twisty-turney, but the view cannot be beat!

Loved the home perched on the side of Screamer Mountain. Everything you need is there - including coffee. Beds were super comfy. Views are beautiful. The town of Clayton is only a couple of miles away and has lots of fun shops and restaurants - more than expected. Would suggest AWD car in winter in case of weather on the mountain. Loved it!

We sincerely enjoyed our stay. The property is nestled right on the side of the mountain with beautiful views. The property was well appointed and had all of the amenities that one would want, including a record player that we loved! A real plus was the communication with the owner, Justin. Our power went out for a couple hours due to high winds and weather and we were able to speak with him even at 11:00 at night when this happened and he let the power company know right away. Not only was the property exceptional, but it was well managed. We will be back again!

Our mountain trips include hiking and cooking at the rental home. This place is ideal for both! It’s close to a variety of trails and the kitchen is well-planned and well-stocked with almost all the utensils we needed. It was a good stay in a comfy home with a great view, and the host was responsive before and through our stay.

I booked this property to spend a relaxing weekend in the mountains with my husband. The property had a fantastic view of the Smokey mountains. It was so beautiful! The house was clean and spacious. It came stocked with a full kitchen and plenty of fun board games and activities to do during our stay! Despite the rainy weather we had the best time staying in, enjoying the view, playing board games and cooking together! It was a little piece of paradise. I couldn’t recommend this property more! The hosts were very friendly and easy to reach! Despite being a house in the mountains, it was easy to get to and there was plenty of parking even though we only had one car with us. 10/10 would recommend!

We had a wonderful time. Property well kept and easy to get to. Wonderful layout for a family. Location is perfect. This trip (cause we definitely plan to visit again) we visited Helen, Ga and the Tallulah State Park.

This "cabin" is really an updated house with beautiful touches and convenient features. It has a luxurious, yet relaxed vibe that our family loved! Its very clean, well-organized, and has supplies to make vacation easier (including kids dishes, water bottles, and sticks for roasting marshmallows). The view is gorgeous! The road to get up the mountain is rustic. We suggest using the "alternative" directions provided, unless you have a 4x4. Definitely a 5-star property!
