Lovely spot to enjoy Volcano National Park. The small town is quite limited, so maybe not ideal for a long stay. The Bamboo Guest house was well suited for our family of four. Our two children slept on the “floor futons” and were very comfortable. The house is not air conditioned, which means the windows must be open when it is warm out, allowing some bugs and moisture in. But, the rain forest vibes are pretty nice. Really enjoyed the Japanese soaking tub. WiFi is very spotty. Host was lovely and the breakfast fruit and breads were nice additions.

Less than 10 minutes from the park and felt like we were in the middle of the rain forest! Loved it!

Great retreat! Even better than the pictures! Staff responded quickly to questions before check in, gave excellent directions, and went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed!!
