The Goodtime Hotel, Miami Beach a Tribute Portfolio Hotel

I have mixed feelings about this place so let's split this into two different categories. Hotel stay I would mark as 4*. My only issue was size of the rooms, second part which is important is pool area which doesn't belong to hotel and it's sort of rip off, especially during the weekend. Drinks are poorly done without almost any alcohol and on the weekend you need to spend $150 on food or drinks to get a sun bed which is ridiculous. Hotel staff is nice, but staff at the strawberry moon which runs the pool have "I don't care attitude". Food is poor and drinks terrible. Pool area is closed after 6pm when there is still daylight outside! There is a option to go to beach and have complimentary sun bed offered by hotel. In general hotel is nicely located, clean and bed is comfortable. I don't think I would come back if my stay would include weekend

Very well designed, staff was very friendly. The property was beautiful. A bit loud, even the music in the library was too loud to actually work. Pool area was beautiful, but the furniture cushions are in desperate need of being replaced. Would expect better quality with the high minimum spend to reserve them. Overall great experience! Would go back

Amazing stay. The staff were wonderful and the property was beautiful, additionally the included chairs on the beach and pool party were wonderful. Highly recommend, I will absolutely stay here again.

Rooms were clean but too small. Pool was nice, but furniture needs to be replaced.

I arrived an hour or so after check-in time and was told no room was available. I needed to take two work zoom calls and needed quiet and privacy so the public space options would not work. Thankfully, it got resolved but I did have to be persistent. Also, the check-in process was super slow. It took about 30 minutes for them to check in two other guests. Then, when it came to breakfast…I order their signature omelette meal and ask for mushrooms and onions. They don’t have mushrooms. Then, I switch to the signature egg dish that offers chicken sausage as a side. No chicken sausage. The service in general was lackluster given that it was not busy. People were not friendly as I would expect given the perceived vibe of the hotel. Now, the pool. They make a big deal about it but unless you’re paying $1000 or more dollars, don’t expect much. The small section for paying guests fills up quickly and has little shade. On my last day, as I’m walking down the halls I notice dirt on the walls as if a drunk person came back from the beach and left their trail. I’d assume that housekeeping would be on that immediately. It didn’t seem as if anyone cared. Overall, I was not impressed with the hotel and even left early because I was not having a good time.

- great location, short walk to where you want to be in south beach. - music at pool (even during week days) was a bit too loud, but it is "party hotel" so whatever, I feel like it could be a the music could be less "aggressive" during the week days. - The bike rental is a nice option, but be careful you are given 2 hours complementary, if you return the bike after 2h and 1 min you would pay for a third hour ($10/hour) - F45 classes is such a nice perk - check the class schedule online and reserve your spot at the reception! - Rooms are small, so don\'t expect to have lots of room to move around lol - One day the hotel was short of towels, hope that is not the norm.

Overall property very clean and safe area. Rooms clean initially upon check in, but only offer bed linen change after 3 days (even when requested earlier). Awesome pool but only open until 6 weekdays and 8 weekends, in summer, in Miami. Resort fee alone should allow more time in pool. Fee did include beach lounge chair and 2 hour bike rental which was nice, but would easily be able to be rented separately and still not be the cost of resort fee. Staff average, friendly but only 1 trained person who could check people in/out people at a time. Nice complimentary adult beverage on check in. Great proximity to beach (2 blocks). Did not have a bad experience per se, but not a great one either considering cost. Will likely stay elsewhere on next visit to Miami.

I was told by pne staff member that the valet parking was $25.00 for 24 hrs, but the reality was the parking was $50.00. There is a municipal parking next door for $20.00 for 24 hrs. Use that instead. It is monitored very well by the Miami Beach Police and staff.

Pool hours are very limited.... Other than that this place is great

Very cute and chic hotel. It is not a hotel to go if you are looking to relax in the pool and have to be aware you have to pay for your own place to sit by the pool on the weekends. It gets massively packed where you are even unable to walk in the pools nothing is allowed inside the pool area including water. Hotel guest have to incur in the cost of lounge chairs. All is reserved for the pool party for a cost. Beach access is not bad but the umbrella you have to pay for. This was not said when we checked in.

I was so excited to stay here and wanted to like it. Unfortunately the pics are deceiving and the property is not well maintained and feels sad in need of renovations. The bikes are are worn, the chairs are visibly dirty and the rooms are extremely small. Like dorm room small. The curtain for the bathroom feels thin and gets soaking wet. Everything felt dirt and shabby. Not worth the price- was probably cute when it opened but has not been upkept.

We stayed here when this first opened and their standards seemed to be a bit higher then (duh, they had just opened.) I didn’t mind the small rooms bc it was nice and clean and the amenities were worth it. The cleanliness is not up to par, the bathroom was dusty and the fabric on the bench was literally so dirty you can see the dark spots. Which is kinda gross cause the headboards are also made from fabric so I can’t imagine they’re super clean either. The price is reflective of what you’re getting I guess you get what you pay for.

We stayed at the goodtime hotel for three nights plus one additional night due to our flight being canceled. My wife and I waited a couple days to think about the good parts of our stay and areas that clearly need improvement so that others can have a better experience. Pros: Every staff member we interacted with—from the concierge to the restaurant waiters to the cleaning staff—were kind, respectful, and patient with everyone. Location-wise, we thought we were in a great spot and had short walks or Uber rides to all the best parts of South Beach. The hotel does a good job of managing the events they host such as the pool parties. While these go on for several hours, they never seemed to get too wild or out of hand. One caveat: if you’re going to try and take an afternoon nap you’ll definitely hear the music coming from these parties no matter what floor you’re on. Strawberry Moon was an awesome restaurant and had a very wide range of menu choices that accommodate different tastes and dietary needs. Cons: For as fun of a vibe goodtime sets from the moment you walk in, there is definitely a lack of detail when it comes to the accommodations. Between both rooms we stayed in, there wasn’t a lot of consistency. The grout in the tiles of our first room clearly had mold or mildew on them, the shower curtain was not long enough to prevent water from spraying out from the shower, and there was also no fan to vent out steam. After our first night, the cleaning crew did not come

Great property. The pool party is fun. Drinks are very expensive. The front desk employees are great. The restaurant bartender was very unprofessional, leading my friends and I to not return. All in all, it was an average experience. The bathroom shower pressure was weak and would leak.

Loved our stay! The rooms were clean and the staff was very friendly and accommodating. Pool day beds do need updating however, we had a great time!

This was my second stay in hotel.the location is the big advantage but the hotel came short of cleanliness as bed bugs were a nusance

The hotel staff is nice, but the hotel itself leaves a lot to be desired. The pool loungers were disgusting and in need of new covers. The room was exceptionally small, and we have traveled large cities and internationally so small rooms don’t bother us. This one was beyond cramped. There was only 1 small garbage can in the bathroom. The bed was super hard. We won’t stay here again.

The property itself is nice and very well located. The cleanliness on the other hand, was quite poor. I've stayed there for 10 nights in total and they didn't change the bedsheets once.

Great location. Front desk was mediocre. Our particular room was not clean. Our sheets were stained. Bathroom was not clean and pressure at the sink was lacking. Tried to call front desk but no answer. Quite disappointing especially w a short stay, having been billed early check-in to a room that was not in the best shape.

Gorgeous property, tiny room.. Party pool vibe.

This hotel was in an excellent location to all that South Beach has to offer! We self-parked around the corner for $20 per 24-hour period, which was much cheaper than the valet option at hotel. The difference is that the hotel valet gives in-out privileges while the self-park garage does not. But for our needs, the self-park option worked out great. We did not dine at the hotel, other than visiting the third floor cafe one time. My daughter was hungry so she picked up a cup with yogurt and granola (it had 3 berries on top). No price on it. She opened it as I went to ask for the price, so automatically, I knew we were buying it. Turns out that yogurt was $18 - That is outrageous. Overall, I loved the hotel's location, but wouldn't go back. There are so many hotels to choose from. The pool was nice, but too warm, and it definitely is geared towards adults. The pools are also smaller than they seem in the photos. But my biggest issue had to do with how small the rooms are. It was just my pre-teen and me in the room, but I felt really cramped. I knew that it was small ahead of time, but I couldn't really understand what that meant until I got there.

It’s a cute/cool convenient property. The room is very small but ok for a single traveler. (Not sure about two people). Very little space/storage, but great shower. Had to unplug the fridge to avoid light and noise. The pool is a scene especially on Saturdays.

Went to Miami for work and brought my mom with me to squeeze in a mother daughter trip. This hotel was clean, cute, and the employees had great customer service. Have already recommended to colleagues and friends. I will definitely have to come back for a girls trip and stay here because 2 nights just wasn’t enough!

First, we had an ocean view room, which cost more. The ocean view was a narrow strip of ocean over the roof of other buildings. Next, the bed was terrible. It was built into two walls, so that yiu could only get into the bed from one side and the doot of the bed. If you were on the right side of the bed, you literally had to crawl in. There was no chair in the room, so you were either on the bed or not. The pool service was horrible. Most of the loungers had a reserved sign, but the front desk said they were first come first served. But the pool staff said they were reserved. I found a corner to sit, and not once did the pool server staff ever approach me or ask if I needed anything. Multiple times they walked by, but ignored me.

My boyfriend and I had an amaaazing time at the Good Time hotel! We had so much fun that we extended our stay another night, which the hotel was very accommodating of for it to be a Saturday afternoon. We originally stayed in the king suite which is very spacious and it has a mini fridge so it’s perfect if you’re the type to have leftovers. The walk in shower was one of the best parts. The last night we stayed in a queen bay view room which was smaller, but we got a nice view of the beach! It is a boutique hotel so expect smaller rooms, but the resort fee makes up for it by including complimentary bikes, gym, library, bars, pool, and restaurants. Not to mention, it’s a 5 minute walk to the beach and Ocean Dr. We are definitely going back!!

The hotel is conveniently located. The staff are very friendly. The rooms are small, but that is to be expected. In Miami Beach you don't want to spend too much time in your room. I wish that the pool was open at night.

Rooms are extremely small. Much smaller than what I have ever seen before outside of a hostel. What they call “city view” is just the view of a parking lots. Besides that is ok.

The rooms are tiny, ok for one person, only queen sized beds throughout hotel against 2 walls, young people will put up with this I guess. The rooms have all necessary items. Hotel was full of airline layover staff. The hotel’s attraction is its daily pool party scene mainly frequented by hordes of people not staying at hotel.

I travelled solo and can't imagine comfortably sharing the space with another person. Good sized fridge and safe which was great. Things that could have made the stay better: having a steamer and DND sign in the room, the ability to open the window to let fresh air in, thorough cleaning during the housekeepers visit (bathroom), bedding without any visibile stains. A kettle or coffee maker in the room. The price of $7 tax for a 60ml bottle of water was disappointing.

Service left much to be be desired. Every single request went unfulfilled. I waited hours for a blanket the first night. I had to collect items from the Front desk on several occasions because it took too long to be delivered. They just kept apologizing nonchalantly and promising someone would soon come. I just checked out and I requested an iron 40 minutes ago. I had to get one from the room attendant in the hallway. When I mentioned at checkout not to worry about the iron the receptionist said “oh it never came?”. Nice property. Go if you want to party and service doesn’t matter. They seem to be understaffed. They were nice enough just ineffective and unapologetic.

Outstanding hotel and services provided. Friendly and welcoming staff, specially at the reception.

The hotel was the most beautiful hotel I’ve stayed at in South Beach. My main complaints are that nobody tried to clean our room until 5:30 when we were getting showers to get dinner. Our room wasn’t cleaned once, but it was easy to get new towels and toilet paper when needed. The room has no fridge and they brought one up to me after I requested one. The other issue I have is they charged me about $120 for “resources at the hotel” after I checked out and nobody informed me of that prior. Obviously I can’t do anything about it now and I have to just pay it because it was on my credit card when I woke up the day after getting home. Super annoying!!!! I already paid to stay there. I also paid for early check in/check out which was convenient.

Clean, kind staff

Great check in with very helpful and friendly staff. But by checkout with at different staff member the experience was quite the opposite, almost rude and non polite attitude.

service was BAD, some the employees were super rude, the rooms were too small, we ordered some racks for the bags and they took 2 days to deliver them, the pool was supposedly opened at 7 and they let us in at 8 and from the back entrance because the person in charge wasn’t there on time, everything is super pretty but the service is honestly bad and i don’t want to return there for that, also if you have marriott points and you book through expedia they don’t give you any points

We were greeted by Jose and Prosecco, Cheers! Our check-in went smoothly and efficiently. Jose was overly accommodating to explaining the hotel amenities. So available throughout my stay..

This place is adorable. Right in the middle of everything- a short walk to the beach. Friendly staff. I’ll definitely be back!

Area was very close to the beach and a lot of restaurants

Great hotel, well located two blocks from Ocean Drive. Hotel has great facilities, is modern and clean, pool area was great, although more shaded areas would have been good. We were there mid week and it was quiet, great rose wine. Our room was small but well planned, I wouldnt say the 'ocean view was worth it, it isnt advertised as partial but looking over car parks and rooftops is partial to me.

I love this chic hotel and its location. However my room was not available until 4:30pm. They do keep your luggage and you can use the pool while you wait on it. Or you can go down to the beach in the meantime l. Restaurants and clubs nearby.

We really enjoyed our stay. The hotel is really aesthetically pleasing and instagramable. It has a luxe and chill feel. Nice music with a good vibe. Also enjoyed the free extra’s: entertainment, beach beds and bicycles. There are plenty of restaurants and food options in the area. Ocean drive is a 3 minute walk from the hotel.

We were very satisfied with the hotel. As soon as you walk in, you can smell the cleanliness. The reception staff was friendly, the room was cleaned daily, and the bed linens were changed upon request. The pool was clean. Despite the small size of the room, our stay was very comfortable. It was easy to rate the hotel highly – due to our flight delay, we even extended our booking for two more nights. The hotel is just a 3-minute walk from the beach. The only thing that surprised us was that you have to pay $20 per day for an umbrella on the beach (maybe this is common, but it was the first time I encountered it). Would I return here again? Definitely yes. Thank you!

Beautiful property, very artistic, good amenities. The rooms are kind of small, and the direct access to beach is a little bit misleading because the beach is a solid two blocks away. But still a straight shot and about a five minute walk. Would stay here again. Great food at their restaurant and café. And their outdoor pool area is awesome

The Hotel is very nice and cosy but the downside is the pool party! Nothing against a good pool party, but even the hotel guests have to pay for a sunbed or chair and the cheapest is $100. not sure if this includes some drinks, but still. No possibility to enjoy the sun on a weekend without paying for a sunbed.The grab and go coffee shop/ breakfast shop is insanely expensive…but the prices in the restaurant are good/average for a hotel I would say. Melina, the receptionist was very sweet. Rooms are nice but very small. Hitel smells really good.

The pool area was so much fun. The music and servers made the ambience very enjoyable. The restaurant at Strawberry Moon was delicious! I went to their restaurant every night at my stay because it was THAT good. Loved my experience there!

The hotel is very cute and the pool area was relaxing and gorgeous (weekday). I liked that there were plenty of places to get some work done. The two things that weren’t great were that the restaurant staff never checked on me during my lunch… I never got another drink and eventually had to go inside to find someone to pay the bill. My only major complaint is that the cleaning supplies used throughout the hotel smelled HORRIBLE. Almost unbearable. And the smell was so incredibly strong. The smell is enough to make me never stay again despite how cute the property is.
