Clean room, great parking

Great location but outside is rundown, rust on all AC unit. Stairs falling to pieces. I was pleasantly surprised inside the room. It's clean and you can tell they updated inside.

This motel seems to be transitioning to an improved facility. The name of the hotel is on a piece of paper in the office window. The outside os reminiscent of the Motel 6 from my youth. Banged up, dirty, a mess. However inside the rooms were clean and fairly nice. The beds were nicely made, the refrigerator, coffee maker were appreciated. We only stayed one night sfo it was fine for the inexpensive rate. There were a few details missing. The bathroom was out of soap and when I tried to call the office the phone was dead. I walked the 20 steps to the office. The owner came right away with soap for us and explained that they were converting the phones to cable, so they were all dead. The fan in the bathroom didn't work so every window and mirror in the room was steamed up. There was a fan on the ceiling but it didn't work. Couldn't open the windows because they're were houses just a few feet away. It would have been nice to have a USB plug somewhere in the room and maybe a box of kleenex and a clock would be nice details. We won't stay there again, so I can't recommend it.

This was a terrible stay. Motel changed its name so we couldn’t find it easily. Name not changed on website. We were told there was a white piece of paper with old name taped to window that we never saw. Very rude check in person. Terrible parking. Pictures in website looked like motel was on or close to beach but it was 3 blocks away with no entrance to beach. Curtains hung over heat/ac do couldn’t use. Phone had no dial tone. TV had three remotes and one didn’t work. Bathroom had five dispensers of soap shampoo etc of which only two had anything in them. Parking lot was hard to get in and out of. When front desk person came to look at tv he couldn’t fix it then had an attitude. Would never recommend this place!

I chose the property because we needed two separate bedrooms (one person is a snorer). The nice bathroom was accessible from both bedrooms. The desk chairs are stained and need to be replaced. The beds were excellent. The heater worked well. The price was good.

Under new ownership. Our biggest problem was the new sin hadn't arrived and we had trouble finding it. A very basic lodging. Nice beds, thick towels, very clean. No extras. No extra chairs, outside not as well kept as room was

The property had limited parking. If you own a larger vehicle its a tight squeeze to park in parking spots. The room was clean but lacked amenities. There was no phone in the room. Our tv was not working so we called the front desk on our cell. The front desk staff came to our room and said the roku stick was broken. He left and never came back. So we had no tv for our stay. The room was ok it was clean but was poorly kept. The bathroom door was hard to open and close, there was no hand soap in the wall mounted dispenser the shapmoo,conditioner and body soap dispensers were empty. Overall the whole vibe of the place was ghetto. We will not be staying there again.

The room we stayed was very clean as well as the bedding! Please don’t raise the price even if I rate your hotel excellent! Keep it clean so people will continue to patronize your hotel because it’s clean with an affordable price!

Room was very plain, bed was uncomfortable and bathroom was dirty. Garbage truck came by at 7:45 am on Monday morning along side street and alleyway behind property. Area around the motel was sketchy at best. Very outdated

The room(s) were disgusting. I went in to the first room to do a bed bug check (I ALWAYS do), and immediately knew I couldn’t stay in that room. The chair at the desk had a hair tie WITH HAIR ATTACHED, on the seat. The chair was covered in disgusting (stains), and the desk had sticky spots on it. The night stand looked like it had been “swooped” a hundred times, but the corners never actually cleaned. There was SO MUCH dust and hair! The floors were gross and didn’t look like they had been vacuumed. The baseboards were worse. It looked like someone sneezed ON the Kleenex holder on the wall, and all the soap dispensers were rusty and dirty looking. I went to the office to ask for a different room. The second room was just as bad! The chair was disgusting, with strings on it, so I know it wasn’t even vacuumed. There were cups on the coffee maker that looked like someone had used THE MIDDLE ONE to rinse their toothpaste, then put it back. There was a hair in the sink and a hair in the bathtub. I was so grossed out that I went back to the office for a refund. Ended up spending hours trying to find another room in Fort Bragg, and paid triple what we did for this place, just to get a decent night sleep. This place was gross!

The floors were filthy. The bottom of my feet were black within minutes of walking barefoot. The mattress was hard as rock and both my husband and I woke up with back pain. The shampoo, soap dispensers were located outside of the shower. The vent in the bathroom was so loud we couldn’t hear each other speak and that was amazing considering the room was very very small. It was cheap and we just needed a place to lay our head and brush our teeth but I would never stay here again. It’s not worth it.

Well, the gentleman at the front desk was kind. The room was nice, at first, then we took our shoes off, floors are filthy! We had black feet. The next day we left, the housekeeping gal was right outside our room, she saw us leave the premises, yet our room was not re-stalked, or trashed removed. (We ended up taking them out and dumping them ourselves) I have two stars ONLY because the beds where comfortable and the sheets where clean.

Clean room

The room was clean but had an odor and the pillows had a dirty head smell. We stayed only one night so it was acceptable for the price and location to Glass Beach.

Liked how close it was to the beach and shopping. Room was dirty, hair on the bed, in the bathtub as well as on top of the microwave. The microwave was disgustingly dirty.

This hotel should not be hotels.com approved. Upon entering the room, it smelled. Having the air conditioning on improved but didn't rid the smell. Housekeeping was not guaranteed, only if you got up early enough in the day to request it. There was no carpet and it was apparent the floors hadn't been mopped in awhile as our feet turned brown. The bed had a sag in the middle so bad I could barely move in the morning. However, the second bed was mildly better the next night.

Super close to glass beach. About a 10 min walk at most. Beds were comfortable. Internet was horrible we couldn’t watch tv since it didn’t want to work 99% of the time so that was disappointing and toilets are a bit rediculous to flush. But overall a good clean room at a great price.

Despite its name, this is a motel, and with some upgrades, but fairly old. Our room had no closet, but a hanger rack that hung over the bed's nightstand. The AC unit was makeshift with cords showing on the wall. There was only one chair, a desk chair that was fairly old and a bit dirty, so we brought in one of the chairs from the outside. The shower sent most of the water into the tub, so was wasteful and kept our feet covered in water. But the staff was nice and accommodating, and it's a close walk to Glass Beach, but not in a pretty neighborhood - mostly industrial. OK if you just need an overnight stop, but not for a multi-day stay.

Motel is good. WiFi is horrible, so in the event you try to watch a show it’s too laggy to attempt to watch. Friendly and helpful employees. Rooms are always clean. Walking distance to glass beach and downtown make it perfect location.

Spacious room, but oddly layed out. Would be nice if there was somewhere to sit other than just the bed. Great room if youre only sleeping there.

Room was small. Had a refrigerator and micro way so you had a hard time getting in the closet. Lamp light needed a new bulb. Shower could use a floor mat to help people from slipping, especially with soap on the floor. If I stayed again I would definitely get a larger room.

Smelled terribly musty and old. Cap on ceiling fell out and hit husband’s head. However, the room was clean and remodeled. The cafe on the property was excellent. Location is great.

Queen rooms are very small but clean. Bathroom clean but shampoo, body soap and conditioner are placed out of the shower by the side of the wall which is inconvenient. Nice big TV though! Bed was very comfy and pillows too. Parking is easy but needs repavement

The bed was comfortable. The room and property were run down. Coffee maker and refrigerator did not work.

Good mattress and pillows. Great water pressure. No comfortable chairs. Rooms are very dark and nothing to see out the window but the parking lot and the back of other buildings. I won’t go back. The price was low for Fort Bragg but now I understand why.

Hotel was conveniently located right in the middle of the areas we were visiting. It was also very clean and had great service as soon as we checked in.

The staff was awesome. They made a mistake on my booking but made it up to us by upgrading our room. Great price for the room. We will DEFINITELY be back !

Shower sink and hand washing sink were both medium to severely clotted. The AC was extremely loud intermittently whenever it was in action. I had mixed feelings for staff; one was nice and helpful while the other one had some attitude issue and wasn’t quit welcoming.

Customer service was great. Will definitely stay again. Even when the heater would not work they moved us to another room without hesitation.

The guy that checked me in took my ID and laughed at my photo. I said.. hey i was big because i was pregnant. He started laughing more and said yeah you look horrible like you dont want to be there. The check out lady was no better, she wasnt even friendly enough to acknowledge that i was a guest. The rooms were outdated. They need paint and furniture, small area rugs might help on the wood floors. Put some care in your hotel. I will never go back.

Booked this through Expedia and made an error on the date. Tried to change with Expedia and the front desk person declined to help. I called directly and was told that I lied to Expedia about why I wanted to cancel and rebook. The receptionist actually told me I lied on the phone. Why would I lie about making an error? I finally spoke to a manager that did help me rebook for the next day. For that I am thankful. Employees that act like he did, do not belong in hospitality. The place is old and not updated. I had to ask for towels (only two present for 3 adults). The tv did not work. I asked for help and never received it.

Our check-in was exceptional. The gentleman at the counter was great! The hotel is located in a good spot. There is a cafe on site and the food is good. The beds were pretty comfy. I would stay again.

The guy that checked us in, kept making sexual comments and thought he was funny. He said to the family in front of us "I put you upstairs where you'll be safe." We checked in and he says "You are downstairs easy entry." We didn't feel safe that this person lives on the property and let us know he was near by. We blocked the door the twonights we were there. The property itself is well kept, great location, comfortable beds.

Front desk staff was friendly. Location was very close to glass beach (10 mins walk). Back of hotel was an alley way and trash pick up was early in the morning (very noisy). Sheets were cleaned. Older hotel so it shows. Overall, it was decent for price and location to glass beach.

This place is the value of Fort Bragg. Walking distance to Glass Beach and miles of coastal hiking, fine dining, the Skunk Train depot, and the cutest little breakfast place with vegan options. Check in is always friendly and fun. It's a simple room with basic amenities, which is all I need for a place with so much to do! Thank you.

The best part of this property was its proximity to the town center. We were easily able to walk to the shops, restaurants, and beach; easy to stumble back after a few beverages. There's a breakfast/lunch cafe next door as well. That said, the property is showing its age. The paint on the stairs was flaking and the bathroom looked a little old. The sheets could use an upgrade aswell. But the towels were great and appeared brand new. And the mattresses were comfortable. Staff was fine. I only interacted with them at check in, but they were fun. If you like a super quiet room, this was not it. The hotel is a few blocks from the Skunk Train and the whistles blew fairly often, but did stop at a rwasonable time at night. Plus the hotel is on Main Street, so there's occasional traffic driving by. Overall, a solid 4 stars.

Closest motel to Glass Beach. Very good diner for breakfast and lunch on property. The staff is very personable.

It was a very nice stay over all. Only inconvenience was they only provided us with 3 towels yet we were a family of 4. The front desk was very friendly and and gave us a free upgrade. The two bedrooms separated by a door was wonderful! The heater worked very well. Cafe 1 in on property and is amazing ($$$ though) but location is central to many options to eat. Felt safe. Would definitely stay here again.

The place was nice. It’s really close to Glass beach and there was a cafe in the same parking lot. Good price and pretty clean.

reminds of a Shady Lanes motel, but it was okay. my guy at the front resk to check in was cool and the place was for sure the right price. For what it was, and for what it cost, it was about what you'd expect. Watet pressure sucked abd hot water was coming rrom the oyher side of the pacific with how long it took. Diner attached had a solid brealfast but it was the same price as a San Francisco Hilton Buffet. I mean for 2 plates with 3 eggs, 1 pc sourdough toast, 2 pcs bacon and some potatoes and a coffee was $64. kinda steep for a plact thats kind if a dive.

The room is okay. It is clean and almost everything you need is provided. But I think the cleaners forgot to put hand soap in the sink. It is empty when we checked in. And the soap dispenser keeps on falling. Restaurants are very limited. You have to search early where to eat as restaurants closes early. most of them were closed around 8pm. Lastly, people in Mendocino are very friendly.

We enjoyed walking to the beach, the nearby trails, and the close proximity to downtown. We could walk to some great restaurants, the Skunk Train depot, and some cool shopping spots. The front desk person was very personable when we arrived. The woman that had the morning shift much less so - couldn't help but feeling like I was bothering her when I came in for coffee. We enjoyed having a fridge and an ironing board in the room. It's a great value and we had booked another visit before we even checked out! Wish we had eaten at the cute little restaurant on the property.
