Sensira Resort & Spa Riviera Maya All Inclusive

Really enjoyed the butler service provided by Cristian and Joao. They took the decision-making out of when and where to have dinners every night so we could fully relax. They also facilitated scheduling spa services, luggage pickup, and helped with getting our mini-bar restocked with more water bottles and drinks. We enjoyed the included Bali beds by the pool/beach and service was wonderful throughout.

We were there 6-13 June and apparently that’s low season so all the dining options were not available during our stay. Also the Aquapark for the kids was closed for repairs for our entire stay and Expedia did not inform us so that was unfortunate. You can see that they are upgrading as they go along, as all the air hockey tables were removed for replacement I presume while we were there. Overall, the food was good, the rooms comfortable and the staff mostly very friendly so we enjoyed our stay. My family has been here twice before so I guess we are comparing it to two and three years ago when it was extraordinary. I would say definitely consider it as it is a very good price for what you get and you will have a good time.

Basketball court and tennis court were damaged and closed. Pool music was often too loud. Food was good but not great. Beach had a fair bit of garbage and other than clearing sea weed we never saw staff or others making an effort to clean up garbage. Lots of kids to play with our kids but other than soccer and beach volleyball there wasn’t a lot for them to do to stay busy. Zip line and climbing wall were only open an hour or two per day. It wasn’t a bad week all in all but we wouldn’t return to this resort.

#1 best thing about this property is the staff. Our butler Raphael was the absolute best! Every staff member, with the exception of the bartenders at the pool, always had a smile and went out of their way to provide the best, most pleasant experience.The hotel itself was designed beautifully, maintained pretty well and occurred a lot during our stay We stayed in the Ruby suite and loved every minute. The room design was perfect and the view was beautiful. This is a family hotel, so there were some kids, but it was off-season, so not packed. I don't think I would visit during the season as we don't have kids. The adult pool was nice, but I could hear the kids' pool activities since it was close. The hot tub was never turned on, which was disappointing. The food was good. I would rate it mid to really good, depending on where you ate and what you ordered. Plenty of options. We went to relax, but plenty of things to do. The most disappointing thing that would cause us not to go back was the overpowering rotten egg smell. It was everywhere outside - the hallways, the pool,the walkways. There is a major problem with sargassum seaweed inundating beaches in Mexico, and this one is one of them. They would clean the beautiful sandy beach every morning, but pile the seaweed right next to the hotel!!!! There was no joke, a 2-story pile half the size of the resort outside our room. It also lingered in the water so we could not go in the ocean or enjoy the beach at all.

Beautiful family friendly resort, clean, safe, with good food ! The water was the biggest disappointment ( dirty brown water with seeweeds particules…)but it’s not the resort’s fault !! Service was great in general, the only thing that bothered me was begging for bottles of water as they were not always available. We felt super safe at the resorts, plenty of activities for the adults and the kids. The pool entertainment and the evening shows were great ! Had a great time !!

Todas las camas balinsesas estaban en el área de adultos y no había gente, mientras que en las albercas familiares había muy pocas sombrillas, también el servicio en las albercas era muy tardado por que casi no había personal.

The view was nice, too much sea weed couldn't use the beach at all, the food is ok now very Mexican they should have an area to actually find taco and other Mexican food, activities like zipline is only 2 hour daily and always a line. Needs more cabanas by the pool limited shade to relax by the pool. The resort does not have any option to help you get a taxi of bus for day trips you have to book ur own.

The amenities and activities for the kids were amazing. Highly recommend for families

I had a few problems with my room but they were taken care of as soon as i reported them. The club never opened during our stay and they closed the slides in the kids pool, which was disappointing. The chairs in the three restaurants were filthy, but the food was good! We were never told on the 1st day that we had to make reservations for dinner. The pool area was really nice! The gift shop had nice things but was extremely over priced! I didn't buy anything! The staff was extremely attentive! Hever, in the buffet was really nice!

The resort was very clean and the staff was friendly! Great pools, good food! I would recommend this resort to a family looking for a great holiday.

4 out of our 9 days our room was not cleaned. We were left without towels in our room many times or not enough for the people in our room. They seemed understaffed. No one tending to swim up bar ever, always had to get out and walk around to get a drink. We were offered a complimentary hydrotherapy session at the spa due to the lack of consistency in our room being cleaned. When we went the cold plunge pool had a filthy film on the top of it and we couldn’t use it and the Hot tub was cold. When we reported this they said they would turn up the heat but that would take 40 min which would be the end of our session. It just seemed like a lot of excuses all the time.

Cleanliness, staff were friendly, the resteraunts and buffet were good. The trampoline park was really fun for the kids.

Servicio muy malo para mexicanos, a todos los extranjeros les dan cortesía de bienvenida en el lobby y a nosotros nadie nos dirigió la palabra hasta que solos llegamos a hacer el check in. Solo la primer noche tuvimos cortesía nocturna todos los demás días nada, incluso tuve que pedir las toallas todos los días porque jamás me llevaron. En otras habitaciones dejaban productos en el mini bar de la habitación para niños como jugos, y a nosotros jamás nos dejaron nada. El segundo día ni siquiera fueron a limpiar la habitación tuve que llamar a las 7 de la noche y fue muy grosera la señorita como si yo estuviera pidiendo algo imposible. Para reservar en sus restaurantes estuve llamando a Consierge y jamás me contestaban, cuando me acercaba me salían con que ya no era hora para reservar. Los meseros en general pésimo servicio, mal encarados y de mal modo. Esperaba más por el tipo de resort que se dicen ser, pero a comparación de otros como Hyatt jamás me trataron así.

Pros; Resort was very clean. Lots of things for children to do. Staff was nice and friendly. Cons: Fridge in the room is not cold. They do stock the fridge, but who wants to drink a warm pop or beer? Only 4 restaruants (1 is already the buffet). Buffet hours, nothing available outside those hours at the buffet. You'll need to go to the snack place or "Tea shop". Adventure club....had a stink to it, my daughter would not go in. Basketball/Tennis courts seem to be under construction (only one net at one court and it was half broken). Overall, we enjoyed our stay, since we only had to use the pool area. Once we were told that the wait for a table at one of the restaurants was an hour, we went to the buffet.

The food was excellent, restaurant quality from best to last was the steakhouse, Mexican, buffet, then Italian. Didn't try the other one. The cleaning of the sargassum on the beach could have been better managed, although I understand it isn't easy. We were upgraded to a 2 room suite, our room was spacious and clean ( a crib was also provided). The only negative was that the minibar wasn't consistently replenished. There are multiple elevators to access all areas of the hotel and pool so access with kids was very good. Pools were cleaned every morning. Very good place for kids. Family friendly.

Had a fun time, they followed food safety protocols. Seen them taking temps, checking sani levels, changing buffet utensils. The pools were gross, just foggy and full of sand and sunscreen. The clean pool was FREEZING.

Overall was good. We had some issues with the water and not pressure on the shower. Also, the beach was not the best. The food and staff was great. The pools were really cold, but I guess it’s this time of the year. They couldn’t do anything about it.

The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The food and drinks were good. There were 3 great pools and a nice swim up bar. There were good activities for the kids, including a zip line, mini golf, and a game room.

Staff was friendly and attentive. The buffet was excellent. The Senses restaurant was fantastic. Good selection at the bars. Where it falls short is the room. There is no wall separating the shower from the room! Quite strange and uncomfortable when travelling with two teens.

Roads To Hotel - There was a lot of pot holes in the road coming to the resort. View From Hotel - The views in the hotel and around to the surrounding ocean and beach were beautiful. This is very much dependent on your room location. We were on the bridge overlooking the kids pool and the pool bar. Cleanliness And Service - The staff was very friendly and whenever I put anything down it was gone pretty quickly. Air-conditioning - I believe this was location driven but this was the worst experience of the whole trip. The AC was managed by the hotel and set at 21C; which it never reached. The hotel was informed and they sent a service worker (no English) to unlock the AC and it was set at 19.5C which it never reached. The hotel was informed again and they sent the same guy. The temperature was set to 10C and the guy pointed like that was somehow going to fix the issue. While sleeping we maxed out at 24.5C and minimum was 21.5C. Food (Restaurants) - we only checked out the Italian and the Steak House. Italian seemed to be good and the pasta and tenderloin were done well. The steak house was also a good experience with the exception of the seasoning on the steak. Best steak in the restaurant was the fillet mignon. All other steaks would benefit from seasoning (t-bone, new york, ribeye). Food (buffet) - there was always a lot of selection and the food was what you would expect at a buffet; mediocre to good. Pools - Well taken care of and the kids pool was great.

I enjoyed my stay at the resort. Everything that I desired was right at my finger tips. The butlers assigned were very attentive to every request that I had, and ensured that I didn’t need anything else. My room (The Ruby Suite) was absolutely perfect! The view of the Caribbean Sea was THE ABSOLUTE BEST…especially from the whirlpool tub!!! The pool area was really amazing with great views of the beach. The staff at the hotel was pretty decent overall. And the food was pretty decent as well.

Schönes, modernes Hotel, aber 90% der Gäste sind Familien mit Kindern, daher nicht so super ruhig. Hotelzimmer war super und auch nicht hellhörig. Das Essen war insgesamt auch gut, allerdings waren die Restaurants teils voll und man musste warten bis man dran kam. Außerdem war es in allen Restaurants meist sehr laut.

Very clean , bed comfort , internet access and friendly staff Don’t like rooms showers , old fashioned rooms, no kettle at the room and lobby bar staff overwhelmed make their response delayed and little attitude

From the moment we arrived, the staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. The customer service was truly top-notch—everyone was friendly, attentive, and always ready to help. The resort offered a variety of food options, and every meal we had was delicious. The drinks were also fantastic, with a great selection at the bars. Our room was beautiful, clean, and a nice bonus was the mini fridge being restocked daily with water, sodas, and beers. We traveled with our 7-year-old daughter, and she had the time of her life! The zip lining, trampoline area, water slides, and endless ice cream kept her entertained the entire trip. Plus, you can’t beat how close the beach is—so convenient to access. The only downside was that the beds were quite hard and uncomfortable, which made it a little difficult to sleep. However, everything else was so wonderful that it didn’t take away from our overall experience.

Our room was spacious and had a great view of the pool and ocean, even though we were in a standard room. The Steakhouse Restaurant was very good. The resort was not crowded when we were there, so it was easy to find seating near the pool or on the beach. There was a shortage of sun umbrellas, so finding shade would have been a problem if the resort had been busier. We found that the music played at the pool area was much too loud and annoying at times. Even if you chose to sit in the quieter "adults only" area, the music was still loud. There is only one bathroom in the pool/beach area, which we didn't think would be enough if the resort had been busier. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and would return but only at non-peak times.

The room is good, but it doesn't have any view, the hotel made a construction that obstructed all the view to the ocean. The food is really good for breakfast, for lunch and dinner wasn't good. The restaurants for dinner we prefer the grill, but the service was very regular.

Loved: - our room (Amber room) and the butler service we had with it (Joao, Rafael and Cristian were great!) - most of the restaurants, good quality and good variety - beds available at the pools for no extra cost (but you had to get up VERY early to ensure you got one) - the adults only pool area was a nice respite from what is a very family friendly resort - friendly and attentive staff (pool waiters were amazing, we never had an empty drink!) - gym was well equipped Could be better: - tennis and basketball courts were out of service - change up the music a bit at the adults only pool (the jazzy covers were ok but not the same songs everyday on repeat) - we wish the Mexican restaurant had been better, everyone we spoke to agreed it was also their least favourite meal, but all the others made up for it (overall food was great!)

They employees are so lost, they don’t know any information in regards to the opening and closing times of restaurants, kids club etc. also, the schedule says they open at a certain time and they open whenever they want which makes it difficult to plan tours, breakfasts etc

Terrible. Understaffed. No towels for one hour at one point. Staff not too sympathetic.

Second time at this resort. Great experience all around. Helpful and friendly staff. Great rooms. Good food. We’re already planning our 3rd trip

Great place for Families. Love the food and service.

Overall, our stay at Sensira Resort was not terrible, but it certainly fell short of expectations. The access roads to the hotel were in poor condition, and most of the staff were not welcoming, with a few outstanding exceptions: Erick at the front desk, Ana and another Cuban lady, a short woman in the buffet, and the young man from housekeeping — all of whom went above and beyond. Dining was extremely slow — we waited over an hour for food, and once even left the steakhouse without eating. My son has a gluten allergy, and despite informing the restaurant and requesting assistance, no one followed up or offered support. I ended up preparing his meals in the room. Children’s activities were very limited, especially disappointing given that the beach was in poor condition and unusable. The resort has potential but must improve its customer service, food service efficiency, and accommodation for dietary needs. I would not repeat the experience, nor would I recommend it. If you still have time, change your reservation.

I honestly would have enjoyed my stay more if I was guided around a bit more with regards to the way an all-inclusive works. We were not shown to our room, we got lost. We had no electricity when we got into the room and the tv was not working. Once a bit more settled, our mini bar was not restocked when we asked for a room refresh. So, we had to ask for water and more bathroom toilet paper. I would have to say I am not sure that I would be back. I felt like a number. There were not enough dining options and if that had anything to do with the time in which we traveled, we really should be made aware before booking. We were looking forward to Mexican Cuisine and did not get to enjoy any because the restaurant was closed the entire time.

The resort was very close to the Cancun airport. The resort is beautiful very family oriented and clean. The staff are phenomenal. Diego was the first one to greet us and he was very helpful. Marcos and Raphael our Butlers always went above and beyond for us. The food is phenomenal. Cannot say how great the rodeo house was and the buffet every day had a humungous variety of different things for everybody to eat, always ate something different. We were celebrating our anniversary and they made us feel very special. The only minor problem was the road going to the resort from the highway is very bumpy, hopefully they can work out their differences between the other resorts too repaired by the next time we visit and also I wish that the beach was nicer and the water cleaner but other than that, we had a beautiful time there

Good hotel, difficult access to get to the lobby from the central highway, but the hotel is very good overall

Overall, great stay. Out of the way, in the jungle along the coast between Cancun and Playa. Very safe. Security gate with guards to get in. Facilities are in good shape. Minimal wear and tear. Good upkeep. Great spa. Excellent beach that is groomed every day including removal of seaweed. Virtually no peddlers on the beach and not aggressive ones. Restaurants are just OK, like at many Mexican resorts. Staff was very, very kind and friendly. Many resorts cannot say that. Our room was a Ruby Suite and it was great (but ask for one on the south side of the resort/the adult side, where it is more quiet). This was a great trip. Definitely considering coming back.

it was all inclusive which was great. It was a long distance from town and shopping which was not convienent.

We just returned from a long weekend at Sensira Resort & Spa. As a previous professional shopper/ reviewer, I wanted to share our thorough in depth review. Continue to read for our review as Americans visiting Sensira. Pros: - Food is generally good. We found the buffet the best, whether for breakfast or lunch in which there were always lots of options and several custom stations such as omelets, enchiladas, grilled seafood and more. - The Mexican restaurant was good although a somewhat limited menu compared to what we expected from a Mexican resort. The only traditional Mexican fare on the menu were tacos as an appetizer and an enchilada as a main course. Everything else was different type of gourmet creations seemingly catered more towards standard non-cultural foods. No reservations required for the Mexican restaurant. - The Italian restaurant was enjoyable with a self serve appetizer bar containing items such as bruschetta, a few different pastas and a seafood dish. Although the Italian restaurant did have traditional options it appears the chef may not be as well tuned into the cuisine as the chicken parmigiana had hardly no sauce on the pasta and the chicken was simply breaded with some Parmesan cheese on top. Same with the shrimp parmigiana, simple breaded shrimp with Parmesan cheese sprinkled on top, on a bed of couscous. Unfortunately lacking flavor. The highlight of our Italian dinner was the tiramisu dessert. While we found many of the desserts to be pre-

The pool was enjoyable. But the hot tub was never warmed up. We were there for 12 days and the hot tub was only hot maybe 2 days that we were there an no one wanted to fix it. It’s far away from everything, so you can’t really walk anywhere. They don’t do uber or anything like that to the hotel if you wanted to try something different without going out. We had a great time, other than that. It was relaxing and really nice for the price. The staff was really friendly. The dinners were good. The room service took a while and didn’t taste too good…. They also don’t bring drinks to your room which was kinda disappointing. Our room was cleaned daily. It’s almost an hour drive from Cancun, making it inconvenient to want to walk around or want to go try other restaurants, unless you wanna deal with the hour drive there and back. The road to the hotel is extremely bumpy and really needs to repaved. Our experience was good. These might all seem like negative things, but besides the fact, we had a wonderful time. We ate, sat by the pool, played card games, drank at the bar, did too many shots lol, even went to the club which was fun, and then passed out in our beautiful bedroom.

Pros: clean, comfortable beds, friendly staff, good drink options, great pool and activity for kids Cons: location, expensive to get in and out of resort literally in the middle of nowhere, ran out of food at buffet and specialty dining restaurants, everything closes early and sometimes before posted closing time, no way to get food after 11 pm except room service where the charge was $10 USD each time. The beach was underwhelming but not the resorts fault. They tried to clean everyday. Overall not a bad experience but would not come again.

We enjoyed our stay. Beds were firm but comfortable. Tons of storage. The resort food breakfast buffet was good, the fish tacos, chicken tenders, and guacamole at the pool side cafe were so good. Most dinners were eaten at the steak house because we didn’t hear great things about the Italian place. We did eat the Mexican restaurant one night but due to difficult service that night, we didn’t return. We did partake in some adult beverages and it seemed like the liquor was watered down so… In saying all that, we would return. It is definitely family friendly and felt safe to let our teenagers run around.

I like all of the amenities the hotel had to offer. A great place to stay if you have children. My son loved the zip line, pools and the mini golf. The a la carte restaurants were great, but the buffet could have a little better variety. Overall a great experience, I would stay there again

I took my daughter here for her 16 birthday and it was soo good its was a bit quiet in the weekdays but on the weekends there was some entertainment which was all family oriented. The food was good. The steakhouse restaurant was excellent my server name was Anna and let me tell you she was amazing it was Valentine’s Day and she was busy but she made us feel special. I would definitely recommend this hotel and would go back.

Family of 3, with child aged 3 This was our first time at an all-inclusive and Sensira is not too huge nor too small. We generally enjoyed our time and would recommend for families with kids over age 5. Pros: Staff are so friendly. Eva from the buffet restaurant on the main floor was by far the friendliest and kindest server we have met. Thank you for being so attentive! Food is delicious. You must try the steakhouse Rodeo Grill. The fillet mignion is wonderful. As a foodie, I approve of several dishes between the three restaurants they have. Pools. There are various pools and we liked how they hosted activities every afternoon. There is a kiddie area although supervision is a must. Cleanliness. We felt the rooms were cleaned with utmost care and mopped each day. Cons: Not enough umbrellas by the pools. We had to shift from chair to chair throughout the day to cool off. Our friend had to wake up around 6:30 each day to secure the seats. For 14 chairs, there were 4 umbrellas. Not enough activities for kids under 5… height requirements don’t allow for younger kids to do much. The trampoline area is a danger zone, with bigger kids running around while smaller kids are just trying to stay in their zone/area. I saw 2 kids walking out crying because they got hurt inside. Overall, the food was really good and we enjoyed our stay but there should be some changes to the umbrella situation and kids areas.

The food options and food itself was terrible. The buffet is only open for breakfast, with limited options, opened late every day (7:10am/7:15am is not 7am), and the majority of the workers hate their jobs and act like it. The baby high chairs and trays are dirty, and when brought to staff's attention, they are irritated that they need to bring a new one. The water served at the table is not filtered and made everyone sick during the trip. The rest of the meals is a game of 'who is open', as the restaurants are random in what is open. Sometimes one restaurant, sometimes only the Beach Grill. Dinner is a the worst for sure. There are only two restaurants open, one of which declines people without a reservation (Steak), but then there is only one other option. The Italian place needs a new Chef who understands recipe development. When you stay for 7 nights and 4 dinners are at 1 restaurant and 3 dinners are at another restaurant, it gets repetitive. This would never happen even at one's own home or eating at only two restaurants for dinner for a whole week. Had we known the food situation prior to booking, we would not have stayed here. Also, the staff in every area except the Cafe and the Kids Activities, are terrible. They do not give good service, their moto is "tip me for any attention" instead of "I will give great service and you will give me a tip for it". The staff are too obvious about their hunger for tips. Either they are poorly paid, or they all have bad attitudes.

Lo Bueno Las instalaciones del hotel son impresionantes. Todo muy limpio, habitaciones muy cómodas… Muchas atracciones y entretenimiento para niños. Las bebidas del bar son muy buenas!!! Lo Malo La Comida del buffet es muy poco variada y no es de la mejor calidad, entiendo que era temporada baja pero deben mejorarla pues es una pena que con tan buenas instalaciones tengan una propuesta gastronómica tan limitada. Los restaurantes a la carta no impresionan, el snack de la playa fue lo único bueno en cuanto a la comida. El aguachile es excelente!!! Lo Mejor El entrenamiento y el servicio son clase aparte… EXCELENTE!!! El entrenamiento es Super!!! Especialmente el señor de animación Angel Calzada, no pude irme del hotel sin preguntarle su nombre pues realmente ANGEL ES EL ALMA DEL HOTEL!!!”” El servicio que recibimos de parte de la Señora Karina ( por si me confundí con su nombre recuerdo que ella usa lentes y tiene pelo negro) en el buffet principal en horario de desayuno y almuerzo fue uno de los mejores que hemos recibido!!!

First off I’d like to say that the butlers Marko’s and Raphael went above and beyond to try to make our stay enjoyable. They always worked out dinner reservations at the steakhouse for us and checked in throughout today, letting us know what was going on at the resort. The spa was also fantastic and my husband and I received the best massages we’ve ever had by Reyna. Barbara also was wonderful at the spa. That being said Before even entering the property, you can smell the seaweed that is built up on the beach. This is not the hotel‘s fault, but completely negatively impacted our stay. The smell was atrocious and the beach was unusable. The water was brown. This is obviously out of the hotels Control, but something you should consider if you are traveling to this resort. The pools were lovely. The rooms were lovely most staff was accommodating. I did find it odd that the bartenders took their time to greet you at each bar whether it be the main lobby or the swim up pool bar. The steakhouse was by far the best restaurant on the property. Our servers were amazing and accommodating. But you can’t eat steak every night… The buffet was limited and the offerings did not change much throughout our seven nights stay. We went to the Mexican restaurant, which was terrible. The food was not good and the service took forever. We were very disappointed. The Italian restaurant was just ok. I want to say we had the best time and can’t wait to go back but that’s just not the case.

Pros: clean, comfortable beds, friendly staff, good drink options, great pool and activity for kids Cons: location, expensive to get in and out of resort literally in the middle of nowhere, ran out of food at buffet and specialty dining restaurants, everything closes early and sometimes before posted closing time, no way to get food after 11 pm except room service where the charge was $10 USD each time. The beach was underwhelming but not the resorts fault. They tried to clean everyday. Overall not a bad experience but would not come again.

Amazing Stay – We Extended Our Trip! Our experience at this resort was so great, we didn’t want to leave—we actually extended our stay by another week! The resort offers excellent amenities, delicious food, and a truly relaxing atmosphere. It was everything we hoped for and more. The only drawback during our stay was that the buffet was frequently closed for lunch and dinner due to the hotel being at lower occupancy. Instead, guests were directed to dine at one of the specialty à la carte restaurants. While the specialty restaurants were high quality and the food was very well prepared, this setup presented two issues: If you're traveling with babies, the buffet tends to be a much better option—it's easier to find kid-friendly choices and without the wait and structure of table service. After a week or more at the resort, rotating through the same 2 specialty restaurants each night can get a bit repetitive, even if the food is good. Guests are still paying full price, and we believe they should have full access to all dining options, including the buffet, regardless of the hotel’s occupancy level. Closing key amenities like the buffet can diminish the guest experience, especially for families. That said, this resort truly impressed us overall, and we would absolutely return—hopefully next time with all dining options available.
