This is perfect for families with kids. We enjoyed our stay. This resort is very family friendly. The check in times are ridiculous. We waited in line for about an hour (with kids). Got to the counter after 4pm and rooms weren’t ready. That and the pool area being dirty are the only cons. Other than that we had a wonderful stay. Folks get to the pool early morning and put towels out so by 10am all of the pool chairs are taken.

They operated on short summer hours for coffee shop and water slides. Life guards were late, so pool slide was open late both days. Water near fish ponds were smelly and filled with trash and debris. Gum and sticky drinks spilled on ground still at the pool the next day. When you add the hidden resort fees on top of the Expedia fees, you wish you stayed at a cleaner/newer hotel. This hotel is understaffed.

Beautiful grounds and facilities. My son loved the arcade. The food was good but not enough options. The room was comfortable but they did not clean thoroughly day to day. The big pool was the worst--absolutely no security even though they had us wear wrist bands. The gate was propped open and there were too many people, bringing coolers and leaving trash all along the pool side. I came across trash while swimming in the pool. Gross. Not enough staff poolside.

Relaxing Fourth of July weekend. The main pool was a bit to be desired. Too many people in a small area. We did the adult pool on Saturday and there weren’t any servers. All in all it was a great stay. The rooms are super nice and clean. We would go again but not on a holiday weekend.

POOL: The aluminum rails to get in and out of the pool were steaming hot, it was 120 deg!, you could not hold on, they need plastic proctors or something to help grip. The bathrooms were dirty, toilet paper, covers on the floor and toilet were dirty, bith men and womens. Arcade/bowling: we walkined in twice to see how to bowl, first come, wait list...no one was available to ask, only the bartenders and they were busy!!! Also 3 of the 4 bowling lanes were closed...really on a Friday and Saturday!!! Rooms: no maid service was done for the two rooms, we had to ask for coffee, water and towel refills once we returned to our room and saw it was not done.

Beautiful property. Unique in that there are multiple individual buildings for the hotel rooms. Main pool is large and super nice. Also has 2 great water slides for kids. Hotel also has a large adult pool with a separate bar area.

The property had very limited dining especially between 2pm and 4pm. The rooms and property is very outdated and the bed was rock hard and very tuff to get a good night sleep. The pool bars close at 5:45pm and should stay open longer in the summer and the adult pool has a bunch of kids in it with no staff to tell them to leave so not much of an adult pool.

We enjoyed our stay- lots to do onsite, but i wish we had known more about some of the offerings (kids club, friday night food and entertainment) especially for kids as we found out what we missed when we were checking out. And on Friday night there was not a single working hot tub.

This property does not live up to the standards that we have experienced at other Westin hotels. Our room was filthy, the floor was covered in black dirt and had clearly not been mopped in a long time. The bedsheets had black marks on and the pillows had black marks that looked like mascara, one pillow was ripped. The table had a sticky substance on it. The furniture in the room was chipped, cracked and beaten up. The WiFi was not working. The check in staff told us that it had not been working for a while. There are no elevators, you will need to carry your luggage up a flight of stairs. This is not a typical hotel, the buildings look like apartments and the door opens to the outside. Outside of our room the floor was dirty and had large stains that looked like someone had vomited. I spent 15 minutes trying to call the check in desk, no one answered the phone so we returned to the check in desk and showed the man working the desk photos of the condition of the room. He said he could give us another room below our previous one. This would again be in the building that had no internet connection. At this point it was 11pm and after a 6 hour drive with two small children we just wanted to get to a comfortable room and decided that it would be best to leave. Expedia agreed to refund us but would first need to confirm with the hotel management. The Westin has refused to respond to Expedia and so Expedia has closed the case and denied us a refund. I do not recommend this property.

I’ve stayed here many times because we typically have a comfortable clean room, friendly staff and love that it’s family forward. However, a few things that just kept adding up to put a damper on the trip. Thing like not having change. I bought my kids ice cream but they had no change, so… we just can’t give you any money back. Wait what. The coffee shop was out of all but full fat milk as well as breakfast items. But part of choosing this resort is that you don’t need to go elsewhere. Except you do. They have an arcade room that is attached to a bar, we took our kids around 9am, it opens at 7. It was still filthy from the previous nights food and drinks. But mostly, the bathroom in our room was covered in MOLD. Not just a spot, but the ceiling was covered in mold. The tile and grout in the shower were moldy and dirty, the bathroom door had black marks on it. It was hard to feel like you were getting clean in a bathroom like this.

Everything looked clean from the outside, but there was a huge roach in my room on the bed and on the pillows. The front desk only offered to change pillows until I said I can’t stay in that room. They moved me into another room but in the morning there was a bug in the sheets. They said over and over it wasn’t bed bugs and sent their head of security to examine both rooms. At the end of my trip I was left disappointed for how much money I spent on the room and disgusted.

This hotel and pool is very dated. The rooms are in various disconnected bldgs and you have to find your way like a lost person. Oh and by the way there’s no elevator if your room is on the second floor. You have to drag your suitcases up stairs. I would never come back to this property.

After check-in we had to drive to our building (#6). There were zero parking spaces available. Drive around for 20 minutes looking but couldn’t find any. I had to park in a “No Parking Zone”. Our building was very noisy around 12:30AM and the again at 2:30AM. 4 drunk people were standing outside of our door (637) yelling at each other in Spanish. Had to tell them to go elsewhere. The hotel was packed with people attending an event. Good for the hotel to be that busy during the summer but bad for the other guests. Will think twice about staying there in the future. Also, the bathroom door didn’t close. Only the door to the toilet room closed. Poor maintenance.

Rooms definitely need some updating. Grout was either missing or cracked throughout the bathroom. Bed was very comfortable. Clerk smelled like a chimney and his directions to the room were very confusing (our building was right outside the lobby).

the property overall is nice, but the rooms need updating and one of our queen beds squeked throughout the night when anyone sleeping on moved. It was quite annoying and disturbed our sleep. We brought it up to the front desk twice and they were dismissive.

Overall a great location. This is the second time we’ve stayed at The Westin Rancho Mirage Golf Resort & Spa. I must say though, this time around their beds were extremely uncomfortable. My son told us the same thing about his bed. I considered calling and asking to be moved, but I liked the room we had with the view so we sucked it up. I’m really hoping the beds are comfier next time we go, especially because we stay for a few days. This time around I couldn’t wait to sleep on my bed, and that’s not common when we stay anywhere in Palm Springs.

Waited in line to check in over half an hour. We had to ask if anyone was going to check us in. After talking to the front desk, the room wasn’t ready. I was told that room would be ready by 4:30. I visited the front desk and they stated it wouldn’t be ready until 6-6:30 pm and they would text me. I waited in the lobby at 5:30 pm for them to text me. 6:15 pm, they stated that my room was ready and I asked why didn’t they notify me. Went to the room, there were other guest in that room. We had to drag our luggage down a flight of stairs. (Note: no elevators at this resort). By this time, they upgraded our room but we did not get to our room until 7pm.

The hotel is nice enough and the staff were pleasant and tried hard to help. But they were understaffed for a weekend when they were completely sold out. Yes, it is the summer so they may not usually be busy but they had to know they had a sell out weekend and they were unprepared. The line to check in was ~40 minutes (but they did provide cookies and champagne). We had called and requested early check-in but it wasn't available when we arrived and in fact, our room wasn't even ready at 4pm, the actual check in time.

Coleman was perhaps the best check in staff member I’ve ever encountered at a resort. As a world traveller for over 20 years I was so impressed by his above-and-beyond effort, big heart and sincere caring for guests’ experience. Other staff were also very generous and gracious like Coleman to give us a very heart warming welcome. Truly unexpected

I have been staying at the Westin Rancho Mirage since I was a child. I was disappointed with this visit because during our three night stay, we did not receive any housekeeping services. No fresh towels, trash was not removed, beds not made, and room not cleaned. We had to resort to placing our bags of trash out on the balcony, and thankfully utilized our towels thoughtfully.

Faxilities were great, staff was super friendly. They are really understaffed. Went to happy hour at the arcade. Candy table was unsupervised, kids kept cutting and not staff to keep order. Not entorley thwir fault, parents should watch their kids. All the staff was helpful, just need more of them. Pool kept running out of clean towela and trash bins were full alot of times.

The overall experience was great! The only downside is coming home and seeing unexpected charges. Per the hotel.com website we would be charged $80 at the hotel we have been a total so far of pending charges of $300.00. Email send to hotel waiting on results.

The property had everything we needed. It had a restaurant a game room a golf course swimming pool and close to the casino. You couldn't ask for more than that. No need to leave the resort you can just check in and just have a good time not having to worry about driving to all these different places when you have everything you need at the resort in one place. Will definitely come back.

The resort is huge. The room we booked was great, had a nice comfortable bed, 2 showers. The resort has plenty of things to do ( golfing, tennis, swimming, etc) it was centrally located for shopping, restaurants, etc. we had a very good time there!

The front desk staff was good, as was the housekeeping personnel. The restaurant was overpriced and the other food service option was extremely limited and service was horribly slow and at times non existent, not even there to take an order. Because of the resort's location there were no other dining options without spending a lot of money for cab fare. The resort's property was beautiful and well maintained.

Enjoyed restaurant very good fish and pasta. Good hospitality at front desk. As a Marriott BonVoy platinum member we were offered both free breajfast and points. Only thing we arrived at 4:30 had to wait an hour for out room to be ready. Breakfast was amazing selection and very fresh. Loved eggs Benedict and variety of pastries. Bread pudding dekicious

The good: The place was really nice. The staff were friendly and accommodating. And the amenities were outstanding. The bad: the food was sub par. I had a $20 burger that might as well have come from a dinner on the freeway; I was expecting more from the Westin. Also had to pay $23 a night for parking.
