Excellent personalized experience. Great for avoiding crowds or mass produced cuisine. Fresh made to order, all organic and locally sourced. Salt water pool, ego building, friendly staff and yoga studio available. In walking distance to downtown or staff can ride to center as requested.

This hotel needs management. The staff is very friendly and accomodating, especially Miriam. But the vegan food is extremely overpriced, especially for Costa Rica. The breakfast is not buffet and limited. You do get a small fruit plate and a smoothy, along with some other option. The streets leading to the hotel are littered with horrible pot holes that would tear up any car's shocks and suspension. I asked so many people why the hotel did not provide a shuttle transportation into town and could not get a good answer. The small dirt streets on steep hills with huge valleys of rain gullies and pot holes were unwalkable for my wife and I. So plan for a $10 cab ride every time you want to go into town in order to avoid a 20 minute walk up steep hills in the extreme heat or unexpected rain. I hope they consider providing convenient, safe, and expedient transportation into town. The first thing we noticed when our taxi dropped us off was the sign posted in front of the hotel that stated "Reserved for Hotel Owner" parking. We found this to demonstrate how the priority of the manager completely missed the mark. They should replace the word "Owner" with "Hotel Guest" on the sign asap. There is no phone in the rooms, so any questions require a walk to the office. On the positive side, the pool is nice and well-kept. The Staff is helpful when they can, although there seemed to be a lot of staff turn-over and many were new or uninformed.

Everything is organic and the food is all Vegan. It’s on a hill so it’s a rugid, but that’s what makes the experience unique. Definitely in tuned with nature.
