Eileen Hotel Cairo

So much did not work.... Wifi barely worked. Faucets in shower all need changes. Fridge does not shut well. Cleansiness... they need to do a big big clean up. Nothing is sound prove. Windows nore doors. Breakfast was great and staff was very friendly.

Really loved this hotel - it is absolutely charming and the staff are so nice! We got a very nice room - with jacuzzi tub which was just the ticket after five hours at the GEM. It is on the upper floors (reception at 6th flr) of a building so somewhat muffles the street noise. And yes, there is an elevator. Highly recommend.

Room was small with lots of furniture but the condition was good with a refrigerator. The bathroom was in good condition, too. Breakfast from 7-10 with good variety. Great location and walkable neighborhood. I booked a private 3-day customized tour with their travel agency and overall had a good experience.

This is a new boutique hotel, in a heritage building in Downtown. Two floors 6th & 7th. Loved the central location. Walkable to shops, banks, cash exchanges, metro, museum, Nile. Many cafes, restaurants, shops in the area. The hotel is clean & the staff are very friendly, they are not intrusive. I had no problem getting uber to pick up here. Sometimes an issue in Cairo due to traffic congestion and street access. From other hotels, I had a few cancel last minute as they couldn't get access to the street. The free wifi worked well. The TV, fridge, air-con are all good. The breakfast is simple but fresh and adequate. There are a few things that need attention. Given the friendly and helpful staff, I am sure this will happen with time and experience. I booked a Royal room, with a king bed and a bath. The photo on Expedia of a Royal room was nothing like the room I got. I think it is was an artist's impression. I was a solo but got a family room. A double and 2 single beds, no bath. There was no towel rail/hook in the bathroom. The shower is new but the shower bed is not against the wall. There is a 6 inch gap between the wall and the shower bed. Water pools there, it is difficult to get it out of the gap with the squeegee. I had to keep my showers short. There was no rail in the wardrobe to hang clothes and no hangers. I asked a few times but they didn't fix it. The lift didn't go to the 7th floor, you need to use stairs from 6th - 7th floor.

The hotel took all the stress out of seeing the sites. They arranged travel and guides when asked. He went out of his way to take care of all of our wants. Their were fantastic guides. The hotel was great. A decent breakfast everyday. I'd go back

We stayed for 3 nights. Good location and nice breakfast. The building was a bit outdated, Our toilet and shower leaked for the whole 3 days and could not be fixed despite the staff attempts. Also, before reaching the elevator you have to climb around 8-10 stairs which can be challenging if you have a few luggage with you.

Excellent location with very professional staff, very reasonable rates , very close to tourist attractions, excellent free breakfast, all the staff members were very helpful, onsite Magic Carpet Travel that made all the arrangements for our tour with English speaking guide, very good experience, we were a family of 4 stayed for 10 nights visiting from Washington, DC

We checked in late night, hotel arranged for airport pickup at a decent price. Its entrance is not very appealing when we asked about it we were told it is a heritage building and they cannot change much. Room we picked was a big one, clean and bathroom was modern and clean. Breakfast is pretty good, staff is welcoming and polite. Overall good experience and happy for the services we got what we paid for.

A budget hotel in Downtown Cairo. Friendly and approachable staff notwithstanding language barriers. Clean rooms with a humble breakfast spread. WiFi could have been better but otherwise fine.

Alhumdolliah i stayed 6 nights,room was a bit small but clean,staff were very friendly and always there to help. The only complain i would have is there was hardly any hot water for a shower in the morning,i assume all the other guests used the hot water and the fact that they are using Solar to heat the water,they should have a back up system.My only advice would be to get up early in the morning to get a nice hot shower. Apart from that the hotel and staff were helpful and very accommodating

The hotel staff was great, the hotel was in downtown. A lot of the travel tours would pick me up from there. The hotel had a free breakfast, and was next to a small convenience store where snacks and beverages could be bought at a reasonable price. The condition of the hotel itself was good. I had an issue with the shower as the drain was clogged and had water would drain at a very slow pace and water would get out of the small shower. The staff tried to assist but it was annoying to call them every time I showered. They did provide lots of towels to help with the excess water.

Eileen Hotel is located smack bang in downtown Cairo within walking distance to everything. The staff are nice and courteous. And our room was clean, nice and tidy. Breakfast was good at the hotel too.

Die Unterkunft ist in Ordnung. Das Personal ist super lieb und hilfsbereit. Unser Zimmer war nicht ganz sauber, vorallem der Boden. Das Bett war leider sehr ungemütlich. Aber das Personal war sehr nett und hat versucht jedes Anliegen zu lösen.

Clean room with ac, fridge, kettle and ours had a nice balcony. All the staff tried their best to make our stay great. Very good breakfast buffet. On top, the hotel is located in a central area, close to many attractions, shopping areas and the Nile. It is safe to walk around.

The room looks dark and not very clean, same as the bathroom.

Very nice and clean hotel for a good price. The staff is very friendly and always helpful. If you don't need any luxury and like to be in the very heart of Cairo (which of course is noisy... don't expect any silence in the city centre at any time!😉), reaching many interesting places by foot or public transport, this hotel is very much recommended! Many restaurants, shops and cafés are nearby where you can meet locals and experience the authentic daily life of Cairo!

We stayed here 3 nights at the beginning of our trip to Egypt and 1 more night before flying back. The Hotel was really nice, we got a big bedroom with a nice balcony. Everything was super clean. The breakfast was great, had a lot of international but also Egyptian options. My wife is a Celiac and they made more gluten free options for her. The staff is extremely kind and did everything to make our stay better. Would definitely stay here again!

The website shows nice bedrooms, the testimonials were the reason I booked. Oh my God! These guys have created a two floor set of rooms on top of a building in down town awful area of Cairo. My wife and I stayed 11/12/24, we arrived late, we were in total shock, we never slept until 4am as men down in the street were arguing, possibly fighting, motorbikes loudly razzing around, wild dogs barking, this may be taken down, but we checked out next day, we went to Movenpick Media City, paid a little more for 2 nights stay, like going from a slum to a palace. This place will close soon I'm sure.

We enjoy our stay at Eileen Hotel! It's super close to Tahrir Square, making it crazy convenient. The staff? Awesome – so friendly and helpful. Plus, the price was fair, especially with breakfast thrown in. Only thing, the rooms look a bit roomier/ bigger in pictures than they actually are and the double bed is more of a large single. But overall, loved our stay!

I really enjoyed my stay at Eileen hotel. The staff were friendly, kind, and always had a smile on their face. I was really surprised about the rooms, walking into the building which looks dated on the outside, the rooms itself is more modern and really clean and the beds are very comfortable. We stayed at this boutique hotel twice, at the beginning of our trip and then came back again towards the middle of our trip. The breakfast is a buffet style spread, and the omelettes they cooked for us were delicious. The showers and toilets worked perfectly, and we were able to take hot showers consecutively, which i can't say was the case for other hotels in Egypt. After a long day of exploration, we were really glad to be able to relax in our comfy room.

Everything was excellent overall. We left our luggage for storage for a week without any extra charges very helpful and accommodating staff.

As a solo, first timer in Egypt, with Cairo being my first stop, I wasn't sure what to expect. Staying at the Eileen Hotel made it all worthwhile. The facility, the staff were so so so wonderful and helpful and everything was great!! Highly recommend.

Ahmed who worked at the front desk and other staff men era were extremely friendly and helpful. The hotel staff is very pleasant and eager to please. I travel often and these staff members are by far the nicest I have met in a long time! Great job to everyone !

Staff extremely helpful and friendly! Hotel centrally located between new Cairo and Giza. Within 30 minutes of anywhere. Convenience stores and restaurants are walking distance everywhere in the neighborhood, as is the old Egyptian museum. Great breakfast service!

This was one of the most amazing staffs I have ever met at any hotel. They all went above and beyond to make our stay great! We did 3 private tours through their Magic Carpet tours, highly recommend them all. When I make it back to Cairo I will definitely be staying here again❤️

Unfortunately we didn't get the room we booked on arrival & had to wait until the following late afternoon. Great location if you want to be in the heart of Cairo. Lots of action on the streets lots of cafes and restaurants. It’s the real Cairo and very safe you can walk around night and day.

My daughter and I stayed here for 6 nights. It's on the 6th/7th floor, but there's a lift so you don't have to drag your suitcases up all those stairs Our room was clean, and simply but cutely decorated. Lots of drawers for your things. The staff were all so friendly and helpful, and the breakfast was great! We could walk to the Egyptian museum, as well as to a lot of cafes and restaurants. There is a small kiosk/store with drinks and snacks right next to the hotel. Highly recommend!

The location was great. Within walking distance to many places to eat and shop. The staff was great at helping you organize uber lifts to get to other places like the bizzars.

Notre séjour au Eileen hôtel s’est très bien déroulé, l’équipe est très agréable et saura vous renseigner sur tous vos sujets. Petit déjeuner inclus dans les chambres sous forme de buffet avec du chaud (foul, falafels, legumes, omelettes à la demande) et du froid (fromage, charcuterie, crudités, salade de fruit…) ainsi que jus et boissons chaudes. Le seul point négatif est que si vous avez la chambre à côté de la salle de petit déjeuner vous risquez d’avoir un peu de bruit !

Beautiful small hotel in the center of it all. Breakfast was WONDERFUL. Excellent, plentiful spread and huge variety. The dining area is very nice, plus there's seating on the balcony overlooking the beautiful city buildings. Rooms are very nice and clean and definitely a bit of luxury especially when compared to other hotels in the region at this price point. The location was perfect to enjoy the downtown Cairo sites and nearby museums. The hotel was on a quieter street so the traffic noise was minimal, there was only noise from distant streets, but minimal. This is a huge perk when staying in.the busy downtown district!! All of the staff members were professional and very polite. We would definitely return to this hotel. Thanks goes out to the wonderful people working at the hotel who maintained a nice atmosphere and top notch service!! We had a wonderful stay.

Close to everything. Egyption museum is on a walking distance. Great dining options around specially Kazaz restaurant, where locals eat. Breakfast menu is limited and can be improved. House keeping can also be improved. Fantastic people, very friendly and always willing to help.
