Completely disappointed over priced one chair in the room. Room smelled like weed had to let the desk know. Hallways smelled like smoke. Multible employees on phones spaekers on otloude. One small luggage thats goes off to to the right wheel. And i know this is a minimalist hotel but there was one chair in the room and two of us.

Thought the pool would be open but it wasn't. Kids were disappointed. Breakfast was not worth even eating. Got checked in and up to room and unpacked before realizing that later in the day we would have to get another room because the door was broken. Never received cleaning after we requested for it. Asked for towels three times before we received any and I had to go down to the front desk to get them. Go to load up our car and was told I needed to check out before doing so. This was the worst experience I've had staying at a Tru and believe me I have stayed at several before.

My 1st room was cool, but I did not like that they didn’t have a microwave. The bathroom sink was also leaking. So because of that we had to relocate to another room. The 2nd room was much smaller than the first room and they also did not have a bathtub, only a shower. I have 2 young kids so that was an issue. I didn’t address it to the front desk for the sake of not having to pack up all of our things to move to a 3rd room. I personally feel like I should have been paying less for the smaller room & no bathtub, as well as the inconvenience of the sink leaking in the 1st room causing us to have to move.

After a 14-hour drive, we arrived at the hotel around 10:30 p.m., hoping to get a good night’s sleep before finishing the final 5 hours of our journey. Unfortunately, our experience was far from restful. Our first room (Room 330 on the 3rd floor) had no blinds to block out the bright parking lot lights, which made it impossible to get comfortable. We asked to be moved and were given Room 128 on the first floor. While this room had proper window coverings, the walls were incredibly thin—we could clearly hear every sound from the guests in the next room (Room 126), including their TV, footsteps, and even regular conversation. It wasn't a loud party or anything—just an older couple talking—but the noise level made it feel like they were in the room with us. We had hoped for 6–7 hours of sleep but ended up getting maybe 2 due to the constant noise. If sleep is your priority, I would recommend considering other options.

During check in they requested an additional $60 deposit for room damage. That was odd. Upon entering the room we were given an ADA room which was not requested. There was no dresser to place our clothes in or a suticase stand to place them on. So suitcases were on the floor. Only one chair, small desk , small bench seat and a King bed. One side of the bed had no acces to the plug because it was covered by the headboard. The bathroom was large to meet ADA standards. The toilet paper holder was hanging off the wall and barely hanging on by the lazy attempt to remount it with silicone. There were four screws sticking out of the wall randomly. I reported the holder to the front desk since they had an additional $60 of my money. Walls were so thin I could hear our neighbors talking and alarm. The only positive was the bed was comfortable and the shower water pressure was good. We will not be returning to this establishment.

This was a nice property. Staff was very helpful. The only issue was our room had no closet for clothing just an open spot to hange clothes. The rooms also had no microwave. One is available downstairs for use.

It was just ok! This hotel is very loud. You can hear everything next door, upstairs, every toilet flush, every door close, every car that parks. It's just loud. Maybe it was because I was on the first floor but it was extremely noisy. Shower bath soap was empty. Used hand soap to bathe. The breakfast was decent. Room was clean and cool. Comfort was ok. Would I stay here if I had to... I guess! Will I look choose a different place next time in Baton Rouge.... absolutely!

Hotel checked us in early as we were running late for the baseball tourney. Upon returning after 11:30pm, tired and ready to relax, the room was perfect and extra cold. Bathroom was clean and towels smelled extra clean. We slept great. Breakfast was delish. We will stay here again while visiting Baton Rouge.

The only problem we had was getting our room on time. Check in was at 3:00. We arrived early and the room wasn’t ready. That was ok because we were early. We weren’t able to get in our room until 3:45. Staff said they sold out the night before and housekeeping couldn’t get out ready on time. The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable about the area. The property was very clean.

We're big fans of the Tru by Hilton brand, and stay in their hotels often. The only negative with this experience is we were charged a $75 pet fee to our one night stay for bringing our dog. I understand that this may be a reasonable fee that's pretty common, but we've never paid that once before. Adding that fee - especially on a night where rates seemed a little more expensive than usual - may cause us to look elsewhere for stays in the future.

The check in staff was very friendly when I checked in late Friday night. The people around me had their tv blaring and kids could be heard running after midnight. After a few hours sleep, I went downstairs for coffee and there was none. I sat an patiently waited for the breakfast time to see if they filled the coffee container. They were after 7 putting coffee out with many guests waiting. After little sleep and no coffee early in the morning, I will not choose to stay here again.
