Super 8 by Wyndham Kirksville-University Area

Newly renovated, so that was very nice for the freshness of it. Clean, and everything was working. The window shade was electronically controlled. Kind of neat ;-) Air temp control was easy to manage. (Also had a remote if you needed it). All the amenities available: coffee, refrigerator, microwave, tv, lights, etc. We had an option at no extra charge to have a grab bar bathroom. I really appreciated this option. I was concerned for my husband, thought this would be good for him, but trust me, it was helpful for me too. My age is catching up with me, I guess. The bed was comfortable, plenty of pillows, in my opinion. But the best part was the human element at this Wyndham Kirksville-University Super 8.... Ray !!! He checked us in, and explained a few nuances , the shower...getting the shower to start. He had a visual for me to know what he was talking about. There were two ways to get the shower to come on, once the water is on, etc. He let me know about the two ways. He offered to help me get suitcases, etc. in the room. There were hot and cold items for breakfast. At breakfast, many guest arrived at the same time so shortage of tables, but he offered to set up a table in another area. Also, he was cleaning up the breakfast area while we were all messing it up;-) He was a hard worker and wanted his guests to have a good experience. He really took ownership of the job he is doing. I felt safe there. I will recommend this hotel. It was quiet for sleeping.

Nice cozy hotel for a short stay. Be warned, three floors no elevator. Also, no closet or drawers. There is a nice refrigerator in the room. Breakfast was simple but fine for a quick bite before hitting the road. Very nice staff.

This place was not good. The room had no closet, no luggage rack, the tv was unplugged, the beds were full size, not queens, no hair dryer or iron. But the worst was no elevator. All the rooms were on other floors. It was the worst place we've stayed at in decades. We won't be back.

From the quick, professional check-in, newly renovated property, excellent variety of breakfast selections in a splendid, well appointed breakfast area; we enjoyed the ultimate in a 2 🌟 motel at this Super 8 location. Factoring in the breakfast for my wife and I, the room rate was NOT out of line, too. ☺ I heartily recommend this property.

They have remodeled this property. Probably the nicest super 8 I know of. Front desk very good. Only drawback is no elevator

The room was nice and clean. The housekeeping staff was very polite. There is no elevator and I was put on the 3rd floor and I am over 60 years old so it was a lot of stairs for someone my age. I have no idea how someone older or handicapped would access the upper floors with no elevator but overall is was a decent hotel for a good price.

This hotel was very basic. It has been renovated recently which is nice but it is nothing amazing. It was fine enough for a two night stay with my family of 5. I did not like how the floor in the living/sleeping space was not carpeted. It was like a hard surface. It made the room feel “cold and not cozy”. The beds were comfortable. There was a bit of what looked like black mold in the shower area towards the ceiling so that needs looked at. Definitely not a room you want to relax or stay in long but it is fine for a good nights sleep. Darkening shades were nice.

Only thing we didn't loke is that there was barely sny toolet paper and there was a used washcloth hanging from showerhead. Other than that it was great

On the south end of town. Convenient to TSU for graduation and walkable to a couple restaurants. It appeared clean until we saw two razor blades on the floor next to one of the beds and a large spider hiding out in the bathroom. Both issues were brought up to both gentlemen working when we checked out this morning.

Great customer service, great location, comfortable bed, decent breakfast. My only issue was the air conditioner. It was very loud, even on the low speed. Seems kind of odd because it looked to be brand new. Won't keep me from coming back though. Other than that, this hotel was great.

The food at the breakfast buffet was excellent. The room was clean and comfortable, but without a hair dryer. When I was checking out and mentioned the lack of a hair dryer, the attendant said that I should ask for one next time.

Clean updated property with modern furnishings and amenities. The room had plentiful plugs to charge all our gadgets. There was a nice variety for breakfast. What was most impressive, though, was the excellent customer service. From the moment we checked in and they provided thorough instructions for the wifi and clarified how the shower will work, to checkout and every request in between, they were friendly, polite, and responsive. Thank you for a fabulous stay.

But it is an outdated building, the AC unit is so loud it was hard to watch TV, and there are electronic slot machines in the lobby, which gives an unsavory vibe to the place. Super convenient location for visiting Truman, though.

Our room was clean and the bed was comfortable. We were close to the main stairs so we heard lots of noise. It sounded like kids running up and down the hall. The exhaust fan in the bathroom was very loud as was the air conditioner. It was hard to carry on a conversation with it running. Overall, the hotel was pleasant and appears to be taken care of, but it is an older building and the age was apparent.

Good, but could hear folks next door. Took awhile to figure out the fan so it woyld cover the noise.

The staff was very helpful and courteous. And the location is convenient for travelers and those who need to stay for a day or two. However, there needs to be a closet or a clothes bar where one can hang clothes--not just 3 hooks on the wall. And there should be luggage holder or luggage bench in the room also.

I'm going arrival I reserve the room with my card when we got there with paid in cash but they asked for a card to use if any damages they had a scan the card which belong to my husband and then after we left we thought everything was fine until we try to use our card it was not able to use there is $400 on it and now there's only nine I'm not sure what happened I called to talk to someone the guy told me you would only look up the dates from the first to the 19th I told him it was last weekend that we were there he once again looked only up until the 19th when I told him that it was the last weekend he found my reservation but then told me that Expedia pays with a card and that they charge my card that is a lie because I told him we paid with cash when we got there and got the card that we scanned I've been using some sort of way I'm going to go to the manager and we are going to figure this out

My daughter and I stayed 3 nights at the Super 8 by Wyndham and had an excellent stay. The manager of the property was always at the front desk ready to provide helpful service. When I was leaving, he grabbed my bags for me and carried them down the stairs. The room was very clean and comfortable and for an excellent price. Everything was in working order, and hot water with good pressure in the shower. The hot breakfast was unexpected and a nice surprise.

We recently styed in this hotel. It is beside the main street so you can go anywhere very easily. Rooms are very clean, staffs are good. Internet was uninterrupted with good speed. Breakfast was all right but some Indian/Bangladeshi food should be included. I didn't check any laundry facilities there but if they have it, it can be wonderful. GOOD TO STAY.

Quiet area

This was perfect for our one night in Kirksville. It was super expense, clean, good location and friendly/helpful man at front desk. Minimal, but had everything we needed.

New management, remodeled inside. Rooms clean, fresh new carpet, lots of updates. We’ve returned a couple of times now due to events going on with Truman. Great reasonable price compared to IHG and Hilton hotels on the area for the same weekends. Appreciate that this hotel has not price hiked like the others. Have already recommended to friends that come up for Truman events also.

Warm welcome - Clean rooms - excellent air conditioning - large rooms - huge parking space - amazing breakfast ( Eggs, Bacon, Waffles, variety of fruits, juices, breads). Highly recommend this hotel and you will enjoy the experience. The front desk person is outstanding and help you to answer questions.

Staff was amazing. Room was really clean. Breakfast was mediocre at best. (Like all hotel breakfast) issue I had was people slamming doors at 3am. Other than that I’ll be staying again.
