Margaritaville Resort Times Square

Liked the location to Times Square, pool was a little small, but it is New York. Really good food, decir, drinks. Just a little place to go when the crowds get too much. Has a fitness center, but it is in the basement, still nice, but not convenient as the elevators are really corwded and slow. Takes a while to move from floor to floor. Would stay there again if traveling to New York.

The rooms are small but still very nice. The pool is unique but also very small. It was so packed one day that we decided it wasn't worth it and did something else. Elevator situation is brutal. Expect to wait. There is no simply going to the lobby and back up in a minute or two, it will take you ten. Also, 1 ice machine on the whole property is crazy!

Wow best experience. Thanks Margaritaville for the environment. Location, Restaurant, Pool and Rooftop Bar are Priceless. This is the place to stay if you are visiting NY.

Pool hours during winter are 10am-4pm, so the window to swim is small if you're just staying one night. However, it's amazing there is a pool in Times Square like this. Even most Las Vegas hotels don't have year-round outdoor heated pools. If you plan on staying here, try and make use of it. Very fun and novel experience for New York. I appreciate the work that went into creating this experience in the middle of New York. Rooms were very clean, with fun decor and high-quality fixtures. High attention to detail. Great location.

The pool can get crowded later in the day but all in all a great stay

Had an amazing time here. Pool was fantastic, food was very good. Beds comfortable. Quiet, private. Definitely planning my next stay here already.

It was right in the heart of it all... easy walk to numerous places, lots of food choices. Pool was great.

Overall, the stay was good, the price was high, but the location was excellent! The pool was small and it closed at 8 PM so we never even went in it because it was full of kids. We parked at the icon which turned out to be a good experience but when we called, they gave us the wrong address to the wrong parking garage instead of the icon so we ended up having to pay extra money and then move our car. The beds were really comfortable and the rooms were really nice.

Great hotel, lots of amenities, perfect location in the city to get to everything. Convenient parking across the street.

One or two elevators were always broken. Took forever to get to my room And one of the bartenders was rude. Bad attitude. Other one was awesome, Alberto. Nice nice man.

Very clean and quiet stay

Room had bugs in bed, hairs were found on sheets. We’ve stayed at tons of hotels in nyc and never were more grossed out

I stayed for 3 nights the service was really great and enjoyed staying there until the last night we notice that there was bed bugs in our beds! we left ny with them all over our body.

In the heart of it all! Food & shopping in every direction all in walking distances! Pool for the HOTT days is what we loved most! Comfy beds and one of the cleanest stays in all my travels

Clean rooms and friendly staff.

What a wonderful place to stay! Immaculately clean (with a staff invested in keeping it that way!), utterly quiet (felt like no one else was there!), and so central to everything. Cannot wait to stay there again!

The room was filthy. The sheets were stained, and when I opened the pillowcase, I actually found hair inside it — clearly not washed. The towels were dirty, the floor hadn't been cleaned in who knows how long, and parts of the bathroom grout were missing, which just made it feel even more run-down. It gets worse — there was a pubic hair in the toilet when I arrived. I also complained about the dirty couch and the dirty floor coated with dust , hair... and the front desk's response? They said they could give me a spray so I could clean it myself. I was honestly in shock. When I told them everything else that was wrong, they were completely unbothered. No apology, no real help, nothing. Just a shrug and a spray bottle. This place has no business hosting guests in this condition.

Friendly staff. Our room wasn’t cleaned for two days. This is why I did not give a 5 star rating.

I am writing to express my deep dissatisfaction regarding a very unpleasant experience during my recent stay at your hotel. During our vacation, the air conditioning in our room was not functioning properly. We reported the issue to the front desk, and while a technician was sent to temporarily fix it, the system failed again shortly afterward. This situation turned our much-anticipated vacation into a nightmare. Despite paying for what we expected to be a comfortable and high-quality stay, we were left extremely disappointed by the lack of a permanent solution to such a basic and essential amenity. It is unacceptable to endure such discomfort, especially after paying a considerable amount for what was supposed to be a premium service. We hope that appropriate measures will be taken to ensure that future guests do not go through a similar experience. Sincerely

Rooms too small, pricey and bathroom door did not shut entirely.

The shower room without a closed door, so every time when take show the water will "flood" whole bathroom

Room too small for 2 people (couple). Very little space to walk around the bed, heavy wooden platform protruded from mattress, so that I bumped legs on corners

Centrally located on Times Square but room was quiet and peaceful.

We walked into a welcoming staff, clean room and amazing view. The bed was comfortable, room was clean and amazing location to city night life. My only thought and concern was the drastic temperature changes when showering, suddenly the temperature turned cold and that wasn't great. Felt secure with security outside, floor access required room key card.

Modern, comfortable, beautiful room, great bed and pillows. A haven in the middle of Times Square!

Clean. Friendly staff. Convenient location to Times Square and shows. Only negative is room size is kind of small for family of 4. After you open suitcase or while someone is sitting at desk, there is nowhere you can walk. As long as you know what to expect size-wise, everything else was great.

It’s right around the Times Square so the atmosphere was lively. The room size is small but it is because of right in the centre of downtown. The property was clean and staff was friendly. The only thing that could be improved is having a sliding door in the shower area which would help in keeping the bathroom clean.

The location is okay The rooms are nice BUT there is no service I was asking for four days to refill the shower gel I ended up going out and buying shower drive for me Entitled personnel Many better places around

After going to the property restaurant the morning of our stay we asked if breakfast was complimentary for resort guests. We were told by the employee who greeted us that it was and all we needed to do was go to the front desk and request a voucher. We had small kids and it was pouring rain outside so I’m assuming it was a complimentary perk for guests on that day. I took my kids to the front desk and asked about breakfast vouchers and was told in a rude manner that we aren’t eligible for vouchers but not told why. Unsure why we wouldn’t be eligible since we paid for our stay just like any other guest. We then expressed disappointment in the mixed messaging and mentioned that we were also told the pool was open but when I took my kids to the pool deck we were told it was closed because the life guard didn’t show up. Even with that inconvenience the hotel refused to give us breakfast vouchers which would have easily remedied the situation. The whole reason we stayed there was for the heated pool. I also asked the front desk where I could refill a water bottle. Instead of offering me a bottle of water he sent me to the 6th floor. After realizing there was no water refill station I had to ask the bar employee who was cleaning for some water which he seemed very annoyed about and asked who sent me there. The resort seems very disjointed and no one knows what the other area is doing or is supposed to help with. Disappointed in the treatment and won’t be staying here again.

We never had breakfast at the hotel. Room clean. A/C was fine. Probably the most pleasant, friendly and helpful employees at a hotel I have experienced in NYC. Kudos

I have stayed at this property 6 times and this was the first time I was blown away at the front desk staff service. This has been the only place I've stayed when visiting and I have now seriously reconsidered other hotels because of the way I was treated. He was so rude, never made eye contact and just overall un welcoming. And because I dont typically write reviews, I will not say anymore. VERY DISAPPOINTING!

Property double charged me with no comminication and zero sympathy for the situation and can't talk to anyone who could fix it! Complimentary wine and room upgrade never happened! Ordered room service that never came! Bartender was the only person who was professional and friendly. 2nd time staying and will not stay again.

Front Desk staff was amazing. They made my BIRTHDAY memorable. Rooms were very clean and well maintained. The pool side waitress was very attentive and friendly as well. Overall great experience. Will be back again !

Hotel is in a good location. Rooms are decent but service is not existing.

The hotel was gorgeous and clean. The restaurants, however, were terrible. The service was incredibly slow and the employees weren’t in a hurry to help anyone. We ate at 3 different restaurants at the resort and the service was the same- terrible

The wait staff went above and beyond to make sure all guests had an excellent experience!! A huge shout out to Brother Joe at the front door and Raquel at the rooftop! Thank you for making our experience amazing!!

Great hotel in a fantastic location. Rooms were modern and clean. 5 minute walk to Penn Station and 25 minute walk to Central Park. The rooftop bar is a locals favorite and is staffed by great bartenders. Don't let the fact that it is a Margaritaville in Manhattan keep you from staying here.

It was very nice. The area is a bit sketchy. There’s a wee dispensary next door so sometimes you come out and get hit in the face with the aroma. Starbucks, McDonald’s, cvs all very close by. Excellent local bakery and pizza shop right across the street as well, everyone was very friendly at the hotel. The only con is it was very loud. I heard everything outside the hall and outside the window. We were a floor above the pool and heard music blasting all day. I was also waken up every night by police sirens and street noise.

Location is great. Trade off with the great location is that it is very noisy. Not a huge issue, but worth mentioning. The limited elevators (only 3 for a 30+ floor hotel) was a problem at peak times. Overall, very happy with the stay, but would probably prefer to be somewhere off the peak area that’s a little quieter next time.

Convenient and central

At checkin we arrived on time, only to be told that our room wasn’t ready and we had to wait, so they said we could wait by the pool. Only to go to the pool and see that it was overcrowded no space in the pool and no chairs available. Not worth it to pay extra for a hotel with a pool only to not be able to use it. Tried to use Room service to order food, was told to only can order through app which didn’t work at all or from the tv which also didn’t work. The room was clean, and water bottles were offered regularly, staff was friendly, they charged me for two rooms and I am still waiting on a refund for one room.

I had such a fun stay at Margaritaville Times Square for the one night I was in the city for Broadway. The staff I encountered during my time at check in, the bar (Tito was awesome, makes a killer spicy Margarita), the waitress I had at breakfast (really good omelette and potatoes) were all phenomenal. When I was checking out, they even asked if I required transportation to the airport. The hotel is very clean, the bed was comfortable, room was fairly quiet (mild honking from down below) coffee in the room is a nice touch. My only complaint is the water pressure was very low so my shower ran kind of long. P.s. My jerk salmon was very yummy! 5/5 super stay.

So the location of this property was amazing. Right by Times Square, lots of restaurants and shops within walking distance, safe and clean place. BUT the hotel itself advertises 3-4 restaurants/bars, etc and literally many were “closed” or they were no longer serving food at 7pm at night! The main margaritaville restaurant on the 2nd level that was open to public was always open, but the lobby bar, 6th floor (pool area), and rooftop were hit or miss whether they were even open! Many times we tried going up to the rooftop for a drink, or my son came with me to get a cheesecake while I enjoyed a drink and were told that the kitchen was “closed”. Are you kidding? So we walked across the street to a place that was open. So I feel the hotel needs to work on their accommodations/amenities if they are going to advertise them. Also, the pool was open at 3pm but the restraurant/bar attached to it wasn’t so couldn’t even get a drink when in the pool. Super frustrating!! And rooftop is smoke-free so nowhere in whole place to have a drink and a cigar, like nowhere, even though there is patio seating.

The food and drinks were amazing at the bar and grill. And the drinks on the rooftop bar were superb, as well as rhe bartender and the view.

I was extremely disappointed in the service at the margaritaville restaurant. We had to beg for a drink only one other couple at the bar. Ordered food never came and was charged. Had to ask for another drink. Not once did anyone come by and ask how was everything do you need anything !!!! I expected better especially for the price and the resort fee. It was like self serve

The room is very small, however, it is New York. The room was very well-maintained, and housekeeping was excellent. Food at restaurant was average but the service was great. Bars are fun with great views.

We really enjoyed our stay here! Our room was really super clean along with the hotel. The pool was much smaller in person and got packed quickly so we didn’t get to use it. We had loud drunken fighting neighbors our last night and security took care of it ASAP, they were really on top of things. Times Square in general was just a really filthy area of NYC and we probably wouldn’t stay here again because of the area. We ate at the restaurant one night, the food was mediocre for above average prices.

Clean, convenient and quiet for being on Times Square. My only complaint - every stay, is the food. Whether room service or restaurant- the food is terrible and service is very slow.
