The room was awful, with broken and loose tiles on the floor, damaged window coverings, light in the closet didn’t work, and plumbing issues in the bathroom (sink and shower water failed intermittently).

Shoutouts to the night receptionist who helped me the 16th of May. I booked the dormitory and someone had used my assigned bunk which sucked because it was 1 in the morning (this was not Stay 424’s fault). I called it in and within the hour I was rebooked to another accommodation. Stay 424 has won my business for any future trips to Chicago on customer service alone. I think you’d struggle to find anywhere else where management has your back at 1 AM like that

This place is very quirky. Positives are the adjacent co-working space which you have access too as a guest. Negatives are one bathroom and people that spend an hour+ in it leaving everyone else hanging. Strange and unpleasant smells. Bed I had in my private room was comfortable though and that was what I mostly needed.

Great location and affordable. However the place was dirty, some bed sheets were dirty. The shower wasn't draining but 'luckily' there isn't much water pressure so we didn't flood the place. When I told them they said they checked it and it was fine but that wasn't true, issue was the same the next day. The microwave was broken too. Note the staircase is very steep and narrow, so you need to be able to carry your luggage.

Was only in town one night, but STAY had all I could’ve needed, a very friendly staff, an incredibly comfy bed [even if I’m not the most graceful when it comes to exiting a top bunk…]
