I liked the decor and room layout. I didn't like the $10/day parking fee.

At check in we were notified they would accommodate a a 2pm late checkout. When we asked on checkout day the receptions would not accommodate and hung up on use. When we visited the desk she was very hostel. The kitchen manager steps in the cook her off. Props to him. They charge $15 a night for a nonsecure street lot. Very unsafe area with homeless camp across the street and active late night activity.

Clean, large room with great breakfast. New and eco friendly Charges $10 for parking so just beware. Also EV charger is not free as it is in most hotels.

Overall it was a very nice place to stay. The food could have been better. Also the advertising for this hotel stated they had a pool which they didn’t have.

Good, quick clean, friendly stay. Walking distance to downtown and the DPAC. Only downside, TV remote didn't work and despite front desk changing batteries I was still not able to access anything on the TV despite the welcoming front page. $25 parking fee.

Newly renovated, convenient parking, and close to DPAC and downtown Durham! I stayed here with a friend and we were pleasantly surprised by our experience, we would absolutely stay here again.

For the rate, it was just ok. A *much* less expensive hotel would have been fine. It’s not a -$400 a night hotel (which is what we paid). The parking is confusing and very unwelcoming - underground garage with ~15 spots plus a larger surface lot. Both appear to have issues with theft. Neither had complimentary parking.

Parking is not included. $10 per night is charged at check-in. Construction all around, roads/street closed. Not recommended.

I checked in the property with no issues. I ran into a problem with the refrigerator not working in the room. I was then transferred to another room where I had to haul all of my belongings into another room late in the evening. My daughter slept in one of the beds in the secondary room and woke up in the middle of the night with severe rashes on her arms and legs. I talked to the front desk attendant and he told me to speak to the manager who will arrive at 7am the next day. When I went to the front desk to speak to the manager I was told he was not in town for the day and "may get in town" in the afternoon. I advised them I will be checking out this morning because of a scheduled appointment. I was given a business card with a number on it to call the manager. I called the number and it was the front desk phone number. I called the hotel later that day to speak to the manager and the phone rang for 5 mins and there was no pick-up. I have to escalate this issue because it was a major inconvenience and it offset my plans for the day.

Excellent property. The only thing I saw that could have been changed was the thick dust in the corners of the room and on the ceiling where the wall meets the ceiling behind the couch. Otherwise, everything else was perfect.

A wonderful place! Very clean, good location, but not in the middle of all the buzz downtown, and the service and comfort level were wonderful. I had a fantastic sleep after a very long day of driving, and work very rested.

I was bitten in bed numerous times while sleeping during my stay. Reported my findings to the general manger. From the start of our conversation he had an attitude. Almost like he couldn’t be bothered with my complaint. I asked him for his bosses contact information. He stated that he’s not giving me that information, but I can go on Google and Google it. He then proceeded to questioned me several times. Almost like he thought I was making this all up. My complaint was met with zero compassion. I was not looking for anything in return. I just wanted to make sure this didn’t happen to someone else.

Hotel is fine. Funny smell, like cross between mold and disinfectant. Room was nice, smaller then expected but that's on me. Paying for parking was a little unusual for type of hotel but again on me for not checking. Smell caused us to check out a day early even though prepaid.

Very nice. I was surprised the hotel didn’t offer daily housekeeping. You had to ask for it. But staff was very very kind & professional

My only issues were that housekeeping didn't bother to service my room (not nice to come back after a long day out to find the room hadn't been touched). Also - they seem to turn off the AC between 12-6am, which makes the room uncomfortably warm.

We came for the Durham Bulls game, the hotel was a great location for this. We really liked the rooms and the bed was very comfortable.

They’ve redesigned your typical hotel room. Nice size living area with large couch and trundle bed combo, with TV attached to the wall with ability to turn towards the living area or the bed area. The bathroom was great-put lengthwise of the room, which is the different orientation-very spacious, including the shower! A desk separated the living area from the bed area, and even included a microwave and refrigerator. Also included is continental breakfast with eggs, potatoes, sausage and bacon, and a waffle maker to make your own fresh waffles. Several cereal, bread and pastry options and a juice station. Overall very nice place! Would definitely stay there again if in the area

Staff who checked us in was extremely unfriendly and barely even made eye contact. Our room was loud… we could hear traffic outside and people in the hallway most of the night.

Very nice newer property. Free breakfast was a lot better than most. Easy walk to baseball stadium and DPAC. My only little complaint was that the sink needed more water pressure.

2nd floor right above active construction. At about 4:30am truck dropped off heavy machinery that made a very loud "bang" sound. Then at 7am construction started. Not a very restful, quiet night.

Perfect for traveling with toddlers and other young kids. My only complaint is the design and location of the bathroom makes it hard to stay asleep when someone uses it in the middle of the night. The door is glass and is in front of the beds, so light shines brightly out, and the flushing sound is close and loud.

I recently stayed at the SpringHillSuites byMarriott in Durham for four days, and overall, it was a mixed experience. The check-in process was smooth and welcoming,which set a positive tone formystay.However, I encountered some issues regarding payment and room service.One of the main challenges was that we were unable to place our cards on file since we were sharing the payment. When I requested fresh towels and room cleaning during our stay, we did not receive the service as expected on the following day. This was a bit disappointing, as I had hoped for better attention to our requests.At checkout, I spoke with Shae, the front desk assistant, about splitting the payments.Unfortunately, she was unable to accommodate us and, after contacting her supervisor, I was informed that splitting payments was not an option. This was surprising, as I’ve had this option at other Marriott locations.On a positive note, the breakfast options were quite different from what I’ve experienced at other Marriotts. Typically, I expect to see sausage or bacon, along with fruit and yogurt, but there was none of that available.The room itself was clean and spacious, providing a comfortable environment for my friend and me.The floor was quiet, which contributed to a pleasant experience overall.In summary, while the hotel is welcoming and clean, there are areas forimprovement, particularly in staff training regarding payment options and room service requests. Ihope tosee these changes for future guests

The front desk staff was very friendly and helpful with dinner suggestions. Would highly recommend this hotel!

Very close to downtown Durham and especially DPAC.

We stayed from Wednesday through Sunday and everything was fine! The rooms are very clean as well as the facility. The Breakfast was available each day and coffee all day & night! It’s conveniently located to the areas we needed to get too. I’d recommend it and will be back to stay again!

The staff were friendly and helpful. The property is within easy walking distance of the Durham Bulls Stadium and the restaurants there and nearby.

There was all kinds of construction going on around the property. Horrible!!! Difficult to get to the hotel because many of the roads were closed. Other than that, the accommodations were great!

This hotel is excellent and has exceeded my expectations each time. The sweet and welcoming fragrance that ignites your nose when you walk into the building instantly provides a relaxing atmosphere. The girls at the front desk are always pleasant and accommodating as much as possible. The rooms are always super clean and the bedding is very comfortable. Check in/out is super easy. The hotel is close to restaurants and the DpAC, however, I would recommend taking a Lyft or Uber for easier access to downtown activities or walk with a group of people. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

Really nice hotel. Surrounding area needs to be cleaned up by the city. Walking to the downtown area felt a bit dicey due to traffic but not too bad.

Traveling to Duke University to see a cancer specialist the hotel was standard. But they burned breakfast setting off the fire alarm at 5:30 am. Then the manager lied to hotels.com and said it went off at 8 am. So does it happen alot 🤔 but anyway they refused compensation or any wrong doings even charged us 20$ for parking. So if you have any mobility issues please avoid at all cost.

I have stayed at hundreds of hotels over my career and life. By far this was the best! It layout of the room was spacious and comfortable and clean! Breakfast was amazing! There were healthy as well as tasty options! Wow! And only a 7 minute walk to DPAC!!! We WILL come back here!!

Hotel was nice and clean but the staff was horrible. Had to track down front desk staff everytime after waiting for over 5 minutes each time. Bought a beverage from their snack area and come to find out it had been opened prior to me buy and was given crap by the staff when I asked for a replacement not even 2 minutes after I made the purchase. The breakfast was garbage! Made from a bag eggs, the bacon was just like the dog treat beggin strips, and every thing else was just trash and cold at 8:30am. Also, they don’t tell you until you arrive but you have to pay to park as well.

Everything was great with the room and check-in but breakfast could be improved. Hot meals were cold and ran out quickly as lines formed
