The staff was very in tune with our needs. Upon checking in and getting excited about breakfast (I said we couldn’t wait till breakfast), the receptionist offered us milk and cereal (we were hungry but too tired to go anywhere). When we came to the dining area, we were not only allowed to grab cereal and milk, but also cooked eggs, parfaits, juice, etc. The receptionist was so kind! The next morning upon leaving and needing to print, they told me printing was free and that if I had any trouble logging in to my email on their computer, I could email them my document and they’d print for me. Again, super helpful all around! Thank you staff!

Very friendly check-in staff. Lobby and breakfast area decorated nicely for Halloween. Room was large and comfortable, beds comfy, enough pillows, in room coffee. Great water pressure in sink and shower. Nice towels, good TV. Nice continental breakfast to get you started. Wasn’t expecting a lot for the good value of room cost. Great coffee and flavored cream. No price gouging on cost of bottled water and soda sold at front desk. Not far from downtown part of Carlsbad. We visited the Caverns NP and watched the bat flights out of cave, very fun to see.

On a trip to the National Parks, we needed an overnight in Carlsbad. This fit us nicely! The rate was fare and included breakfast of coffee, tea, juices, waffles, bread choices plus toaster and many toppings (peanut butter, cream cheese, jellies). Dry cereals and oatmeal. Refrigerator offered yogurts, cheese sticks, and hard boiled eggs. The room was spacious and clean, as was the bathroom. With a teen, we appreciated the sink area separate from the shower and toilet. The mes center is across the street and we were treated to watching the helicopter land from our room!! What sets this place apart is the incredible staff. Everyone was so kind and welcoming. The carpet was awful. I would not walk on it barefoot Toilet needs fixing, it had a tendency to run. No fresh fuit at the breakfast. The staff from front desk to housekeeping were wonderful. Very helpful getting us around town. It looks like this is an old hotel that needs lots of renovation if they want to compete with the others around Carlsbad.

This hotel is a bargain compared to others in the area. It was almost half the cost of three other hotels we normally stay at when visiting family. It's older and not as fancy as the pricier hotels, but the rooms are large and clean and the staff is friendly. The breakfast is basic-fruit, cereal, yogurt, some pastries, hard boiled eggs, and make it yourself waffles. The rooms and hallways seem quieter than most newer hotels I've stayed at- a definite plus. Tv channels were kind of limited (no HBO), but the wifi was very good. I can do without the few ammenties other properties offer to save $100 a night.

So i had a famiky emergency outside of Albuquerque a d accidentally booked the 2 wrong nights and no one could be sympathic to my situation and work with me so i will never book thru expedia at this place ever again. Hoping you never endure my situation and no one to understand and help a family out!!!!

Can’t say enough good things about all the staff. Front desk, housekeeping & kitchen were all friendly and helpful. One suggestion the Continental breakfast is bare bones! Some yogurt, muffins & bananas would greatly improve it. Not sure who eats jello for breakfast?

Manager was very helpful during check in. Accommodated us by giving us a ground floor. Not terribly easy access from street. Safe. Sherry the house keeper was very helpful and super courteous.

Very friendly check-in staff. Lobby and breakfast area decorated nicely for Halloween. Room was large and comfortable, beds comfy, enough pillows, in room coffee. Great water pressure in sink and shower. Nice towels, good TV. Nice continental breakfast to get you started. Wasn’t expecting a lot for the good value of room cost. Great coffee and flavored cream. No price gouging on cost of bottled water and soda sold at front desk. Not far from downtown part of Carlsbad. We visited the Caverns NP and watched the bat flights out of cave, very fun to see.

The rate was fare and included breakfast of coffee, tea, juices, waffles, bread choices plus toaster and many toppings (peanut butter, cream cheese, jellies). Dry cereals and oatmeal. Refrigerator offered yogurts, cheese sticks, and hard boiled eggs. The room was spacious and clean, as was the bathroom. With a teen, we appreciated the sink area separate from the shower and toilet. The proper looks recently updated, but will need some additional maintenance things in the future. The mes center is across the street and we were treated to watching the helicopter land from our room!! What sets this place apart is the incredible staff. Everyone was so kind and welcoming. The carpet was awful. I would not walk on it barefoot Toilet needs fixing, it had a tendency to run. No fresh fuit at the breakfast. The staff from front desk to housekeeping were wonderful. Very helpful getting us around town. It looks like this is an old hotel that needs lots of renovation if they want to compete with the others around Carlsbad.

Poor plumbing, couldn't adjust water temperature in shower very well. Breakfast bar was poorly stocked and poor altogether. The people at the desk was very polite and helpful.

Once we booked online, we received a welcome text message letting us know to reply to the message is there was anything we needed. We appreciate their communication. If we are in Carlsbad again, we will stay at this hotel.

This hotel is a bargain compared to others in the area. It was almost half the cost of three other hotels we normally stay at when visiting family. It's older and not as fancy as the pricier hotels, but the rooms are large and clean and the staff is friendly. The breakfast is basic-fruit, cereal, yogurt, some pastries, hard boiled eggs, and make it yourself waffles. The rooms and hallways seem quieter than most newer hotels I've stayed at- a definite plus. Tv channels were kind of limited (no HBO), but the wifi was very good. I can do without the few ammenties other properties offer to save $100 a night.

Can’t say enough good things about all the staff. Front desk, housekeeping & kitchen were all friendly and helpful. One suggestion the Continental breakfast is bare bones! Some yogurt, muffins & bananas would greatly improve it. Not sure who eats jello for breakfast?
