The rooms are comfortable, the included breakfast was nice. But by far, the best part of this hotel is its location. Our water taxi was able to drop us right off at the hotel's pier, so we didn't have to haul our luggage through the winding cobblestone streets of Venice. And it's very close to the Rialto Bridge as well as other great sights.

Absolutely fabulous location with a ferry stop just steps from the hotel. Amazing staff! The canal view room was a dream -- exactly what we had hoped for. The hotel is starting to show a little wear and needs some modern updates, USB plugs for example, but we were treated like royalty and overall we had an excellent stay and would highly recommend this hotel.

Hotel is conveniently located next to Saint Angelo vaporetto (water bus) stop. So (by the ticket office next to train station) we purchased a 2-day vaporetto ticket and we had unlimited use of the water buses. One highlight of our trip was our mini picnic sitting outside the hotel, in front of the Grand Canal. The view is magnificent!!! The staff was very friendly and helpful. Our room was lovely and very spacious, specially the bathroom. We highly recommend.

This hotel was wonderful. Only a short walk to restaurants and shopping,and many sights to explore. Loved the bar on site to have a drink at the end of the day while watching activity on the grand canal. The breakfast was delicious and the garden area was beautiful and, and meal staff was very attentive. The hotel check in and out was easy and the front desk staff was extremely helpful and attentive throughout our stay. Water bus right out the front of the hotel. Definitely plan to stay here next time we visit Venice!

Great hotel and staff. So we learned the hard way there is no parking in Venice or at this hotel as advertised. The parking is at the terminal where you get a water taxi to all hotels. Easy but if you don’t know, you don’t know. Pro tip the casino on the island of Venice is a broke down scam. Don’t waste your money thinking you are going to a glamorous James Bond casino. Most basement games have more character, charm and service than this place.

Absolute amazing staff that make your stay really special. The room decor is spectacular and the beds are really comfortable. Waterbus stop is two steps away, which is very handy for getting around, though we preferred to walk everywhere. Breakfast is very nice with a variety of fruit and pastries as well as traditional cheese, ham, eggs, sausages, bacon etc. We would definitely recommend this hotel

Positive: The hotel has an absolutely fantastic location – probably the best in all of Venice. It is close to everything, and only about 20 meters from the public boat transport, which is an excellent way to get around the city. The staff were very friendly, and the breakfast was good. Negative: The hotel shows some wear and tear, and you can tell that certain things are due for replacement. For example, some of the bathtubs/showers, the TV sets, and various items around the rooms. What really made the overall experience worse, however, was the check-out. This is a relatively high price to pay for accommodation, and with such rates I would assume that the staff are already fairly compensated. Yet when the final bill was presented (including minibar, bar purchases, etc.), an automatic 5% service charge had been added to the total accommodation cost – essentially a mandatory tip. This annoyed me enough that I removed the entire amount.

We were trying check-in, but were told electricity was out and were offered a drink while we waited to check in. The power issues were with the hotel. The power did return, and we had no AC for our entire stay. We had to open the windows to keep cool, we were bitten by mosquito for the next 4 nights. (yes, we closed the window) Hotel never comp us for any nights and this is not acceptable. Everyone at the hotel was nice, but this is a top-rated hotel, and they should do something.

Great location. San’Angelo stop just next door so very easy access to both train station and airport. Main sites within 20 minutes walk. Large rooms. Only bad is the shower water flows into the floor and breakfast just okay.

We arrived at the hotel by water taxi, and were welcomed immediately at the hotel. Because we have VIP status with hotels.com, we were upgraded into a suite, received early check in, and a welcome bottle of prosecco. The room was clean and comfortable, the staff we're welcoming and helpful, the breakfast provided there was plentiful and fresh, and the little bar area was a lovely place to sit and watch the gondolas go by. Great view!

The staff was particularly wonderful. I arrived from a cruise with an eye infection. Iris helped me get the care I needed. She called the Urgent Care/First Aid doctor to make sure he knew I was on the way. Bobby the bartender was awesome. Wonderful little bar and sitting area to watch out over canal. Breakfast was also wonderful, full of choices and a great wait staff.

Hotel are well located 12 minutes walking distance to San Marcos Square Breakfast are poor , and people unprofessional I ordered a river taxi 24 hours in advance and was told that half an hour before my departure would be sufficient to get to my destination, so that's what I did. The next day, 12 minutes after the agreed time, the taxi still hadn't arrived. The hotel staff blamed the taxi driver and we ended up leaving 15 minutes late. I called my bus driver to let him know and he waited for me for ten minutes. hotel blamed the taxi driver. In the end, we left 15 minutes late. I called my bus driver to let him know, and he waited for me for ten minutes, but I still had to run to catch up. I travel every week and like to have everything organized. I warned the hotel with 24 hours before and they insisted that half an hour would be enough. It seems they didn't count on the 15-minute delay. By the way, the taxi driver told me that he hadn't been booked the day. before and that they called him three minutes before picking me up. In short, the staff are unprofessional and unreliable. They solved everything by blaming the taxi driver. One more example of unprofessionalism.

My passport was stolen and staff members informed me that I could travel back to US with the police report. The police told me the same. Yet I was rejected at the airport and after traveling to the airport had to take a train to Milan and spend two days getting an emergency passport at the American embassy. The staff should know how to advise people who have this problem. We were greatly inconvenienced financially and timewise.
