Quality Inn & Suites Santee I-95

The staff was very friendly and the hotel wasn’t bad but it is undergoing renovations. The parking lot is full of potholes. The breakfast was second rate. The pillows were horrible. The room was clean. One of the ice makers was broken. Overall, very average and won’t stay again.

went for the pool which was never opened because "it rained this morning" USELESS DIRTY AND NOT CARED FOR!! no wonder the place was empyty

Floors and showering in the room was dirty. Toilet paper and rag holder rack was falling out of the wall. When booked website said pool was open when tried to use staff said it was close. (They changed website) Breakfast was empty everyday, all they had was waffles basically

The building where we stayed was adequate, but needs TLC. Other portions of the buildings on the property look like they should be torn down.

No one was manning the desk upon arrival at 7:00 PM and had to wait 5 minutes before someone showed up. Had to pay additional $25 for pet. Fire alarms in hotel were not functional and they had a sign on lobby door stating this fact. Whole hotel was under renovation and was in poor repair. Wood pool deck was extremely hazardous to walk on and collapsed on the side. Pool was empty and in need of repair. Parking lot had piles of stone for eventual landscaping caping. Tar parking lot was cracked and potholes. Boards laying on ground with rusty nails sticking up. Had to unplug mini fridge due to annoying tapping noise. Rug was not very clean. Neither the tub or sink had a stopper to hold water. Its a shame I could not include photos. No refund policy is only reason I didn’t leave upon arrival. On positive note outside of hotel was beautifully painted. Breakfast bar was adequate with Jimmy Dean sausage sandwiches and jugs of orange juice. Convenient to I-95 with a small selection of restaurants within walking distance.

This is an older hotel with exterior doors, in desperate need of a total makeover. Several issues including the use of a motion sensor on the thermostat, causing it to shut off if no one was in the room, making it very warm. AC took a long time to cool the room when it was on. Room was not cleaned well, hair in the sink. Toilet paper holder was rusted. Grout in tub coming apart. Fixtures were old, upholstery stained on a chair. Driveway was terrible, a lot of potholes. Property had 4 wings, one was completely boarded up with plywood. This will make me rethink using Choice hotels in the future. Just awful.

We stayed for one night on drive to Florida. The lobby is nicely done over, price was good, room large and clean. Bathroom had toiletries, coffee maker and hairdryer, bed very comfy. Breakfast was average: bagels, toast, coffee .,juice, cereal, egg Pattie’s, sausage and waffles. Wish they had yogurt and fruit. Pool was dry???Overall it was a fine place to stay

You get what you pay for. The staff was extremely friendly, though! The motel didn't have any water in the pool and the buildings need some more work to seem more accomodating. My personal limit was the burnt coffee in the morning - that is unforgivable. Great coffee would easily get them another star.

The room neededs to be up dated. The pool was closed, and i booked because I wanted to use the pool. Bathromm was not clean! Pubic hair on the tub! terrible

We chose this for Pet Friendly. Right up there with Days Inn. Filthy, cockroach in my room, sure there were more I could not see. Slept with one eye open. If we had not just spent 16 hours driving I would have left. $100 room deposit. They should have paid me!

The room was dirty the bathroom bath tub was dirty, the bed had stains in it and also curly hairs under the cover, by the pillows and on top of the comfortable, which is proof they didn’t wash it, there was 2 flies in the room that I saw, and I didn’t even take a bath it was so nasty, the toilet didn’t flush and already had tissue in it from the last guest that wouldn’t flush!! They need to do better with cleaning the rooms, having clean blankets and sheets, DONT NOT COME HERE this was easy a $20 room I feel like I was over charged… stay away from this place \t 8929 Old Number Six Highway, Santee, SC, 29142 United States of America

This is literally the nastiest place ive ever stayed. The hallway leading to my room was filled with dead waterbugs. The rooms leading to mine looked to be destroyed. The empty rooms windows were filled with bugs. The room itself is very outdated. The beds were dirty, one of the conforters appeared to have a blood stain. The towels and wash clothes were cover with hair. The floors with dirty with sticky spots. This place literally looks partially demolished.

The towels were used already and the floors left our feet black and the shower was never cleaned and there was hair hanging out of the blow dryer and hanger. It was disgusting and the AC didn't work

As we were going upstairs to our room, there was trash bags and bags of trash in the hallways. There were wires poking out of the wall. The stairwell was unstable. We had handicap persons in our party. Once we entered our room, there were spiders alive and dead. We opened our refrigerator to live roaches And roaches. We went across the street to the Hampton Inn and was able to secure a room. When we returned back to the quality Inn to request a full refund, they refused a full refund and only refunded one night. You all should not be promoting a stay at this hotel. Based on the reviews, this isn’t something that just occurred during our stay.

This place puts the rust in rustic. All of the metal doors and the clothing rack were rusted over. There were bugs in the sheets and a different kind of bug in the bathroom sink. The carpet had clearly not been cleaned in years. There were splatters of red/pink fluid all over the bathroom floor, bathroom door and mini fridge. The room in general was dirtier than any gas station bathroom. I reached out to customer service and they refused to do anything about the situation. We had arrived at midnight and were out of there by 630am. Also the pictures were nothing like the ones online. Avoid this place at all costs

Room and hotel in general in really bad condition. Room had a terrible smell, air would not circulate, the carpet was filthy, and there were holes and other items in disrepair. Did not sleep well. Just wanted a place to rest and it was not restful.

It was ok, the rooms are so spacious and the free breakfast was alright. The bathroom was pretty moldy and sink had spit of toothpaste and stuff from previous guests. Counters and toilet was pretty dirty as well.

This had to be the nastiest motel I ever stayed in. There were dead and live roaches in the room. We waited 20 minutes for a front desk person to appear so we can check in. They charged me a refundable fee but didn't charge my sister anything extra for her room. There was a stain on the mattress. Just gross.

Room was sparsely outfitted. Tub/shower faucet dripped rapidly and sink did not drain.

The room was very humid. The curtins were torn minimal privacy. The microwave had no rotating plate. You get what you pay for.

I reserved a king bed but when I arrived more than two hours after check-in, I was told there weren’t any available because housekeeping was working on them. I took two doubles, but requested a room change because half of the bottom of the door didn’t have a seal. Air and light coming through, anyone could have stuck an unlocking device or something under it. Didn’t feel safe. There were black hairs in the sink and tub. Lots of dirt and debris against walls, to include an old French fry. Marks on the walls. Sheets are soft but thin and had multiple holes. The provided washcloth was so dingy it wasn’t even white anymore. Pool looks nice enough and the breakfast was decent - bagels, waffle maker, sausage and eggs.

Peeling paint in the room, curtains were falling down, rust on the doors, hair in the shower. You get what you pay for. It was fine for 1 night while passing through town, but in serious need of a remodel.

Quick stop off of 95. we reserved a king size bed on Hotels.com, got 2 standard size beds. room looked like it hadn't been vacuumed in a while. Bed was comfortable, bathroom was clean. Breakfast was fair.

The rooms are old but very clean and spacious. Only downfall is a loud machinery noise nearby. Not sure of the source.

Rooms are very dated, have an old smell to them. The TV was broken, had a black line running down the middle. Front office is updated, but rooms are not.

An older building that hasn’t been kept up to standards. Light in bathroom didn’t work initially but later without explanation worked. Bed’s not comfortable. Sagged in the middle Next time I’m in Santee I’ll upgrade to a better motel. Not all Quality Inns are Quality. If I’d not already Prepared with Expedia I’d have walked out. That’s the way it stands.

I made a reservation and within 5 minutes realized it was the wrong date and called to update for the correct date. They refused to change date or give a refund. I really just wanted to change the date but they were not wiling to do either

They told me they had no handicap rooms on the property and therefore I lost all of my money I spent for the reservation and they refused to accommodate me or give me a refund. Piss poor customer service!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The person behind the desk was friendly and helpful, but extremely busy as he was wearing several hats. He had a smile on is face in spite of being the only person.

As soon as we first opened the door to enter the room an unpleasant smell hit us. Pulled the bedcovers back, linen dirty, bathroom dirty.Shady characters walking around in the premises. We ended up having to find another job lace for the night.They refused to refund our money back.People at front desk were very rude!!!

Arrived at 7:45 pm only to find out that one of the two rooms booked was not ready even though we had a 3 pm check in time. Was told it would be ready in 5 minutes, 45 minutes later the room was still not ready. We asked for our money back and the manager said he refunded us.

When we first arrived, the woman was friendly and personable. She told us that because we used a third party (Hotels.com) it would be $5.00 more. We have never had that happen before, but we paid it. She checked us in, gave us our key and we found our room. The hotel is old and is in need of repairs. Part of the hotel is not being used. We went to our door and the key didn't work. We pushed on the door and the door wasn't locked. We opened the door and was immediately hit with the smell of smoke. Closed the door and it locked. Then we couldn't unlock the door. I went and requested another room because my wife can't handle smoke. She gave us another room. Went to the room. Key won't work. Pushed on the door and it opened. This time we went in and looked around. Thought we would stay. Tried to lock the door and it won't lock. It can't because the door is too high and the deadbolt isn't inline. So we went back and explained that we can't stay in a room that doesn't lock. She then tells us she has no other room for us. After speaking with her manager she tells us we have to call Hotels.com for a refund. I ask if there was anything more we can do, she said no. So we contacted Hotels.com and thankfully after speaking to the hotel, they were able to get our refund. Minus the extra $5.00. We would not recommend this particular hotel.

I checked in with my family (2 adults and 2 children) at 1:30 am after a long drive. I was given a key card to the room with the room number written on the key card sleeve. I used the card to open the corresponding door (at 1:35 am) and discovered people already sleeping in the room. I quickly closed the door and proceeded back to the office. I understand this is a human error, but at the same time, I feared for my safety. And I can only imagine what the occupants of the room were thinking.

We had a couple check in surprises. When we booked on Hotels.com, there was nothing in the description about an additional fee for our small dog and no mention of a required deposit. Many hotels we book have a small fee for a pet but none we’ve booked asked for an additional deposit - not for the pet but for everyone who books. I think management should disclose this on their listing. That said, the room was very clean and well kept. Our stay was pleasant, the staff was very friendly and polite. Our deposit was refunded about 3 days later. That part was uncomfortable.

Convenient located

I've stayed at this location many times. It's my first overnight on my way up and down the coast from Maryland to Florida. The rooms are comfortable, clean and quiet.

The area is alittle unsafe at night, but the hotel itself is safe. We had one problem our sleeper couch wouldn’t open, but the workers all came to try and help, they were extremely sweet and tried to offer us a few different options since the accommodation wasn’t available. Overall everything was great. They are super sweet and make sure your please happy and sweet. Whenever we travel we may just stop in for a night.

The property is run down. Shower and sink stoppers both broken. Grounds are dirty, broken landscape lighting. Breakfast was unappetizing. The room seemed clean…. Refrigerator not as cold as it should be. Needs a lot of TLC!!

We had 2 issues with this stay.There was no cable so my husband was unable to watch tv.There free breakfast food ran out pretty early.

Very dirty... breakfast was horrible.. came at 9:00 and there was nothing to eat.

Hotel was affordable, adequate and had comfortable beds. Manager was excellent and accommodating. Free breakfast was a good.
