The Lodge at St Edward Park

Property is beautiful! Went and stayed for a wedding. Rooms are beautiful. But the staff was very rude specially at the bars. I won’t go back. For the price service should be better. I will go back for maybe a dinner reservation but not to stay. For the cost, there is no pool or amenities. There are better places to stay. Cool environment for the one time.

Beautiful historic building in the state park that has access to Lake Washington through a trail. The spa experience was great!

Really well maintained property with great onsite restaurant and two additional bars for drinks and food. Hotel has artwork on display throughout and a library for reading and board games. Great hiking trails and a large and engaging playground if you have kids.

The food was great and a really cozy bar to have cocktails and dinner. I also enjoyed the art exhibit. It would have been nice to have more of an idea of the restaurants and entertainment in the area.

Incredibly friendly, positive staff. Loved the complimentary valet parking and Lyft car service to nearby destinations--great for wine tastings or dinner in Woodinville. State park has nice wooded walking trails of different challenge levels, most taking you down to the Lake.

Very unique setting, quiet and relaxing. The spa was incredible, the staff was highly accommodating, fun activities during the day, and the restaurants were great. Highly recommend.

The food was great! Staff were pleasant. My room was noisy and the alarm went off 8:30, first night. Second day alarm went off during my massage!! Faulty sprinkler. My relaxing stay was not all that relaxing.

This is a very different and unique (in a good way) hotel. Love how quiet and serene it is. Facility is amazing. The ability to take a morning hike and see Lake Washington is fantastic. The gym was small but well equipped. Room bathroom was like a spa.

Lovely grounds and great trails. Enjoyed the on-site spa. Beautifully decorated rooms. Clean and safe area. Loved that it has valet parking.

Its a beautiful property, exceedingly quiet and clean. It isn't near much in terms of activities and things to do. Lovely place to go spend time with family and have a quiet time. I did not like the light in bathroom goes on automatically in the night when you get up, wakes everyone in the room up. Great comfy beds as well.

We visited last year and had another great visit! We noticed things are a bit dirtier now? Dust on walls, surfaces, etc. Staff was super accommodating. Will visit again.

The location is excellent, close to everything we needed, yet tucked away enough to feel peaceful. The grounds are absolutely beautiful, with well-maintained landscaping and lovely hiking trails. We also really enjoyed the food, it was surprisingly good, great customer service with a nice selection and quality ingredients. They have a library with books, games, and snacks. We loved that part of the hotel it was a little treat! The rooms were decent but not without issues. The bed/pillows were amazing! Our room didn’t have a fridge, which was inconvenient, and the ice bucket was too small to be of much use. The worst part, though, was finding a gigantic spider, bigger than a half dollar sitting on a bath towel right after getting out of the shower. Definitely crazy to experience and unsettling. Unfortunately, the biggest disappointment was the spa. It was minimal in amenities and to say the least…far from relaxing. I paid $200 for a massage that left me in more pain, soreness, and emotionally drained than when I arrived. To make matters worse, the male massage therapist wouldn’t stop talking throughout the session, about himself, different techniques for me to use because of how “bad of shape my body was also telling me some kind of condition in my back” which completely ruined the experience. It felt more like an awkward conversation of what I need to change and what I’ve been doing wrong with my body and mind than a peaceful escape. Honestly, it was the worst spa experience.

This was such a serene place in a nature park with trails next to river. Beyond clean quite pristine. Food was a bit too fussy and expensive. The art was amazing. Room was sublime..the view from opposing windows too die for!

We booked a king room and arrived at 4pm for check-in. The staff explained the room wasn’t ready, but they were apologetic, offered drink coupons, and promised to call when it was available. We had an event to attend, so this seemed fine. When we returned at 9pm, not only had no one called, but we were told there were no king rooms available at all. To their credit, they offered us a queen room, promised to work with Expedia for a 50% refund, and sent a bottle of wine to the room. The room itself was comfortable, but I wasn’t able to sleep well due to a buzzing and flashing light from the thermostat every minute or so, which kept me up for over an hour. The next morning we tried to have breakfast in the restaurant. It wasn’t full, but it still took about 40 minutes just to place an order. The waiter was kind, apologetic and brought us juice, but the food was so delayed we had to request it to-go. He admitted one of our dishes had been given to another table, so we left with only one item. Even with these issues, we checked out giving the benefit of the doubt since the hotel was hosting a wedding. What has been most disappointing, however, is the refund they promised. Weeks passed and nothing was processed. I called to follow up, explained the situation, and was told they would handle it and get back to me. It has now been over two weeks since that call, and I still haven’t received the refund or any communication. A hotel of this caliber shouldn't have this many issues.

This would have been a great experience - had we not had to change rooms two times in the middle of the night on the same night due to 1) fire alarm randomly going off at 1am in our room and 2) other odd noises in the 2nd room which we were moved out of around 4am. Management never acknowledged or apologized for the disruption and the fact that we weren't able to get a good night's sleep. We most likely will not be staying here again because of the poor customer service. Note if you do stay here for an extended period, there is a grocery store nearby but it's a bit of a drive to get to restaurants.

What a lovely gem to find. The room was beautiful, clean and had lots of historical character but had been updated. The restaurants were great and I was pleasantly surprised by the art gallery! Overall it’s a beautiful hotel and property. I got to hike / walk through the state park which was the main reason I chose this location. I will 100% come back.

Appreciate that valet was included. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Loved the art gallery hallways. Also appreciated their details, welcoming me w some birthday treats and items for my dog. There was an odd “vibrating” sound that would occur around 6-8 times an hour in the room. The a/c unit on the ceiling had a loose cover that would hang. The toilet ran for a bit as well. These made it hard to sleep.

Nice place to stay very clean and very comfortable bed . We ate there for dinner and breakfast it was fabulous!! My only complaint is the room is very small:( but we overall enjoyed our stay.

Beautiful rooms and comfortable beds!

This is the second time I stay here and have been very dissatisfied with the temperature of the room. It was way too warm for us! Almost impossible to sleep, even with them bringing a fan to the room. It still didn’t drop the temperature in the room… unbearable during summer month, the first time we came was in February so I only had to open up the windows to let the winter air in to cool off but this time there was no reprieve. For the price that you pay for a room here I would expect to be ultra comfortable. They did offer me a new room, but when we went to it, it was even warmer than the room we were already in. The lovely lady at the counter offered me a small credit, which at least was something but sadly, I never actually got the credit on my billing statement so I ended up paying full price for being completely miserable the entire night. My only other complaint is that the service in the restaurant for breakfast both times also was terrible… Very slow, you have to wait forever for somebody to even seat you and then you sit at the table for a very long time waiting for somebody to address you and then waiting for your food is another very long wait… Just too much.

It’s a fantastic property, just know that the rooms are TINY!

Loved the seclusion and natural environment. The architecture and art displays were very nice. It would be helpful to have dresser drawers to unpack clothing into. One day our wet towels were not removed from the bathroom. If this is an environmental conservation effort, it would be nice to have that communicated more overtly. Really enjoyed our stay and look for to return.

Beautifully appointed facility given it was a seminary before being remodeled. Extensive art display was impressive. Staff, food and service very good. Rooms need some help. No dressers. We had to ask for a foldout luggage holder and a hair dryer. Our other suitcase remained on the floor. Stairs leading us to our room after we got off on the third floor were hard to navigate with our luggage. We should have been informed. Otherwise a good experience. A bit pricey but still acceptable for a special occasion.

Another nice stay here. The rooms are small but nicely appointed. The amenities and in-room coffee service excellent. Food and beverage options also good. This is a hotel that’s off the beaten path. All in all great stay at a surprisingly nice hotel.

Such a magical place! I came here as an early mother's day present and had the best time relaxing. Every staff member I encountered was so sweet and kind. Room service came super fast and was DELICIOUS every time. I definitely look forward to coming back again soon.

Wonderful staff and accommodations

I accidentally left my jacket during my stay. I reach out and spoke to number of front desk employees and no positive response back for weeks. Unfortunately this makes my trip stay dissatisfied and not going there in future trip.

Had a short but lovely stay at this unique property. The customer service was excellent at every encounter. We arrived super early and the receptionist expedited our room and went out of her way to ensure that we were comfortable until the room was ready. Loved how the atmosphere reflected the hotel’s heritage, and its location within the St Edward State Park is exceptional.

Great place to feel like you have left the urban area, but still be close

The hotel is luxurious and upscale. You need a car to get around. Lots of hiking area.

A paradise just 30mins from Seattle to relax and enjoy nature

My partner and I are long-time locals who decided to stay here for a special celebration. The Lodge is located in the heart of a dense urban area on property that used to be a seminary. The seminary buildings have beautifully restored and are surrounded by acres of forests with walking trails to the beach. Everything was lovely and quiet. The avocado toast was superb. The staff was warm and friendly. Will return again soon.

Our stay at the place was very relaxing. We got to walk around the park, bike to the lake. The food at the on-site restaurant was good. Overall we enjoyed the short stay and would consider coming back!

It was a very relaxing stay, the rooms are as they are in the pictures. The staff were great. My only feedback is the restaurant food. It was fine, but over priced and nothing too unique.
