This is the second time we stayed at the property. This time we stayed in the annex building. Room was small and the bathroom was substandard. Paint was chipping off toilet seat and the tub faucet dripped all night. We came to stay for the restaurant which was closed for a private event.we would not have booked the inn if we were aware the restaurant was closed.

Loved the location and the incredible pool, so beautiful. Dining in was an ecxellent choice as well. After breakfast there was the opportunity to see the historic rooms ahead of the regular tours.

Great hosts and obviously hard working. Pleasant atmosphere for breakfast. Nice pool area. If you have a chance, take the tour of the mansion. Well worth your time. Restaurant is smaller than expected so reservations are encouraged. As with many historic places, work is never ending and some updates are completed or in progress.

A beautiful historic home. Being able to tour it was fun. Our room was above the dining area so it was a little noisy. Our only complaint was the early dinner reservation. We had hoped to dine later but there were no time slots available. Yet, the dining room was only half filled at the later time when we left. Otherwise, it was a lovely stay.

The property was very nice. it was a nice time period room and the cafe was very good. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The parking is very limited and not enough room for the number of guests that drive to the property.

The house from the outside looks really nice. However, I wouldn’t recommend to stay here: - there was a kind of generator right behind our bed which kept us from sleeping - one of the towels was dirty - there was no parking space for us on the property so we had to park on the street - we had to call a number in order to get our hotel room keys, the person on the other side didn’t know that we were coming, which was confusing - you do not have any choice at breakfast - hard for vegetarians

We liked that it was an historic property with lots of character and had lots of info on the history. It was a very quiet which was great! The breakfast was delicious! The staff was very nice. Negatives were that the bed was not very comfortable. Too hard and rough. There was too much light coming into the room from outside at night. The toilet was small and the toilet paper holder was too close when sitting on toilet. Shower was cramped.

We had a great time. The resturant was closed for dinner on Labor day and the day after. They did provide breakfast both mrnings. The bed was extremely firm in Eliza's king bed room. The mansion was very clean and had all modern conviences. I would recommend to any one that wanted to stay some where historic.

Beautifully decorated, but bathroom was terrible. Need to hire a professional plumber to fix the drain so tub can fill and be used; need to replace toilet stool with a decent sized one (our heads were bigger than the hole) that won't easily clog. Towel rack was loose and all we had for climate control was a cheap plastic fan- no central air.

This historic home is beautiful. The room was lovely and the breakfast full and delicious. The grounds are well kept. We walked to the waterfront area and enjoyed the area. This was one of the nicest hotels/B&Bs we have stayed in.

The breakfasts are ample and served by the plate--quite good, with fruit. We ate one evening meal--again quite good with a very tender filet mignon. The staff (especially Michael) love their town and represent it well; the guide (Robert Terry) to the Vicksburg Battlefield they recommended is personally known to them and did a great job. The owners are quite young and locally prominent. Quite well done, all in all.

If you want to have that antebellum experience, this is the place. Located in Old Vicksburg, the house was surrounded by history and charm. We really enjoyed our stay at Anchuca as the facilities were very nice and the staff outstanding. Highly recommended!

It was great! We enjoyed meeting the owner and she even showed us around her bakery shop. The staff was nice and welcoming. It was a good location to walk to the hostoric downtown. We liked that they were dog friendly too.

However, I wouldn’t recommend to stay here: - there was a kind of generator right behind our bed which kept us from sleeping - one of the towels was dirty - there was no parking space for us on the property so we had to park on the street - we had to call a number in order to get our hotel room keys, the person on the other side didn’t know that we were coming, which was confusing - you do not have any choice at breakfast - hard for vegetarians

This is the second time we stayed at the property. This time we stayed in the annex building. Room was small and the bathroom was substandard. Paint was chipping off toilet seat and the tub faucet dripped all night. We came to stay for the restaurant which was closed for a private event.we would not have booked the inn if we were aware the restaurant was closed.

Our stay at Anchuca was very relaxing and enjoyable. The staff was polite and accommodating. We had dinner and breakfast, both of which were dining amazing, as usual. Highly recommend the bread pudding for dinner and grits for breakfast.

Outstanding! We couldn’t have been more pleased with our accommodations. Beautiful mansion with a great history. Wonderful staff, especially Miss Lisa! The breakfast was perfect. We chose to dine in the restaurant for dinner and we were so pleased with our choice. Good presentation and wonderful prepared. We had chicken piccata and mahi with cheese grits. An excellent experience and highly recommended.

The breakfasts are ample and served by the plate--quite good, with fruit. We ate one evening meal--again quite good with a very tender filet mignon. The staff (especially Michael) love their town and represent it well; the guide (Robert Terry) to the Vicksburg Battlefield they recommended is personally known to them and did a great job. The owners are quite young and locally prominent. Quite well done, all in all.
