Dells Secret Cottage - Huge Private Yard, Minutes to downtown Wisconsin Dells

The host was VERY communicative, responsive and helpful throughout the entire process. I appreciated how clean and nice everything was. Every time I contacted the host about one question or the other, he responded within 10 minutes (granted I did not message him late at night) and it was not automated responses. The backyard and exterior shed/hangout/bar spot was SO much fun! I would definitely stay here again. The showers were GIANT, clean, and even had some leftover product (shampoo/etc) from other guests or maybe the host we were able to use if we forgot! The beds were very comfy. As a group of ladies who understands nature and the fact that this is a house in the woods, you'll have some fun very very rare visitors of moths sneaking their way in through open doors and maybe like 3 ants over an entire weekend. It was a blast.We were able to all relax, craft, and just have a great weekend! The only thing I may recommend is just notifying guests the sign for the entryway is slightly hidden. I would recommend maybe moving the marker or house address marker slightly further out to be a bit more visible from the road. A few of my friends got a bit lost but once it was located everyone had a very easy time getting in and out.

It was amazing, my guest and I had a great time and the house was everything Gabe said it was, definitely will be getting in touch again.

The property was not clean, lot of noise in the bedroom from heater running. The kitchen faucet was broken and water was leaking , it was a hassle using the kitchen for 2 day stay. They didn’t help to fix the problem during the stay. The rooms was very cold and heating was not even across the house.

Cabin was extremely cold the entire time and every-time we cut up the thermostat to the desired temp it magically went down on its on. Door knobs fell off the front door and the master bedroom that we fixed on our own. Got several cuts on my arm from the dining room table pealing. Owner was rude about me placing wood for the fire outside the house in the wrong spot even after I said it was a mistake. Made a sarcastic comment about my logic, which was totally inappropriate. Owner lying about smoking inside of the house when smoking only took place outside and away from the house. Was rude again about me disputing the extra charge. Not at all what I expected, but a nice time was had minus these issues.

This was one of the best rentals we’ve ever stayed in. The house was cozy and in pristine condition. The kitchen was well equipped with all the essentials, and there were extra linens and comforters that made everything very comfortable. There were games and playsets for all age groups, which was a great bonus. The shed was also well stocked with chairs.Whether enjoying the fireplace or the extra room in the back, the house truly offers something for every season—summer or winter. The check-in instructions were clear, and communication with the host, Gabe, was flawless. He was also very accommodating with our special requests.We absolutely loved our stay and would highly recommend this place to anyone looking to spend quality time with family and friends. The location is perfect—close to everything, yet surrounded by trees that make it feel peacefully secluded from the city’s hustle and bustle.
