Hotel Motto is the ideal place to stay in Vienna. The attention to detail, from the décor, to the wonderful restaurant and the amazing roof terrace, is very impressive. The travel instructions from the airport were very clear and in no time at all using the train and the U-Bahn we arrived right at the hotel door. The staff were exceptionally friendly and made us feel very welcome. We loved the atmosphere in the restaurant and found the menu to have plenty of options, including for a vegetarian. We hope to back in Vienna very soon and will definitely be staying in the Hotel Motto.

Beautiful restored building with gorgeous details in doors and tile work. Easy walk to museum quarter and the rooftop restaurant was great and lively at night. Small but nice gym with steam and sauna.

Brilliant hotel with the exception of the restaurant and bar. We tried the bar one night but were turned away as “too busy” the next night it was closed but we sat there and bought drinks at the restaurant bar ( had to carry them up the stairs ourselves. The “comfy” atmosphere in the restaurant is basically low level tables and soft chairs to eat from , very uncomfortable and so close together you could join in the conversations over the tables nearby. The waiter was offhand and inattentive. As we ate there the first night nothing would have persuaded us to repeat the experience. The rest of the hotel was exceptional though.

Hotel Motto is the most elegant and romantic hotel we have ever stayed in. My wife and I booked for a weekend away for our 10th wedding anniversary and loved everything about the hotel. Perfectly situated in Shadekgasse, it is located on a corner of the main high street in the boutique shopping area of Vienna. Tons of shops to visit and both restaurants and bars in close proximity, it is much less touristy and less busy than the shopping area of Stephanplatz (which you must visit too). The train station is next door and the U3 gets you to stephanplatz in 10 minutes and to the palace in about 15 minutes via the tram from Westbanhof (or you can walk up the street to Westbanhof and simply jump on the tram to the palace). We also ate in the hotel restaurant, Chez Bernard, and the food and drinks were excellent. A very classy place and recommended you book a table. We got squeezed in as we didn’t book, but we wouldn’t have had we not told the front of house we were staying at the hotel as it is very popular with the public not staying at the hotel. Finally - Moto Bro is the hotels bakery on the high street. Amazing coffee, bread and cakes!! 5 star - tremendous stay ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

The hotel is very nicely decorated with lots of attention to details to make our stay comfortable. The front desk staff was helpful and nice. The o ly downside is the smell of the restaurant kitchen that somehow floods the lobby (even though the restaurant is on the top floors) and that the restaurant was always so busy, you needed to reserve a table ahead of time or wait a while to be seated. Fortunatelly there are lots of other options for breakfast nearby.

Chic, beautifully designed hotel in an ideal location. It's a busy, walkable area, and directly on top of a metro entrance. Rooms have luxurious finishes and sophisticated design. Great in-room amenities (bar kit, Nespresso). The restaurant upstairs is a stunning space, and with excellent food; it actually seems popular with locals and not just hotel guests. There is a small gym, not a lot of equipment but it's very pretty; this adjoins a lovely spa/sauna area. I'd absolutely stay again; this was a great find.

This hotel was really nice and very clean. The room was comfortable and sufficiently spacious. The key issue for us was that we found there to be a lot of bugs, resulting in bug bites acquired while sleeping. Additionally, it should be noted that you will have fairly far walks to most activities, but we still found it doable.

Il secondo giorno siamo tornati in hotel verso le ore 16 e la stanza non era stata ancora pulita nonostante avessimo messo la card sulla porta per chiedere di pulire. Alle ore 17 sono andato a cercare la signora per chiedere di fare la pulizia. Il terzo giorno siamo tornati alle 17 e la Camera non era stata pulita. Ho rinunciato e non ho chiesto nulla e mi sono tenuto la stanza così. Il giorno del check in mi ero anche preoccupato di pagare tutto tramite carta di credito per entrambe le stanze prenotate. Il giorno del check out hanno fermato i miei amici dicendo che dovevano pagare. Assurdo. L’hotel è molto bello ma purtroppo servizi non adeguati al prezzo pagato.

An amazing stay at this hotel. The staff are beyond lovely and helpful and the rooms and hotel in general are beautiful. Location is great surrounded by shops and eateries with a nice walk to the museums and attractions. Rooms were cleaned daily and the minibar although a little pricey had an amazing selection of drinks! Unfortunately our room was beneath the hotel restaurant so we had a bit of noise in the night and also the temperature in the room was a little warm for the weight of the bedding and only had three settings so couldn’t make it go any colder. Otherwise a perfect stay at Hotel Motto!

Easily 5 star quality hotel. Beautiful rooms and great food in the restaurant. Easy travel all around Vienna with underground stop next door. Rooms were incredibly quiet with soundproofed windows. Staff were fantastic and welcome drink was a nice touch. Thank you!

Very clean and super cute room! I will warn that the space is a little tight if you have too much luggage, but the space is beautiful, has everything you need, and a great location. Bonus points to Hotel MOTTO for having separate shampoo, conditioner and body wash dispensers when so many other hotels are cheaping out by combining all in one. Service was excellent and the rooftop restaurant is a must for the views and coffee!

The rooms are so spacious, the staff is incredible, the Restaurnat delightful, the concierge and front desk staff exceeded my expectations with very helpful tips of the city. The beds and pillows are comfortable and the entire property is conveniently located close to a lot of Viennas premier attractions. Wonderful shopping district filled with restaurants. This place is a true gem.

The property was in a great location, walking distance from the centre and near lots of shops and places to eat and drink. It was very pretty inside and out. The roof top bar was great for a drink with views across Vienna. The staff were friendly. Our room was very small with very little space to hang anything. I had to move the bedside table to be able to open a cupboard to put clothes in, the TV was on a side wall so you couldn't see it from the bed, there was a table full of bottles of alcohol which was taking up space making it difficult to open the curtains. Our toilet was leaking, which made the room smell, which we reported twice and nothing was done and then, when checking out, the receptionist said the repair person had gone to the wrong room. We weren't offered a welcome drink open arrival and it would have been really useful if reception had let us know that Thursday was a bank holiday and all of the shops were shut.

We LOVED MOTTO! We stay in a lot of hotels and this is one of our most loved EVER! It is funky--bathtub in the bed chamber area; free standing, enclosed shower on the far side of the room, etc. We loved those eccentricities! Also some fun books--Andy Warhol--in the room. We hit the bar every night, the roof top lounge (not to be missed), and the small cafe out back. The service was incredibly professional and I really felt everyone of them cared about what I needed or wanted. This we really a great experience and world class boutique hotel!

Hotel Motto is well designed and nicely decorated. I enjoyed the ambience and the room. Its location is also great. Right next to the shopping high street but not overly noisy. There's a U3 entrance right next to the hotel, really easy to access to public transportation.

Hotel Motto is the most elegant and romantic hotel we have ever stayed in. My wife and I booked for a weekend away for our 10th wedding anniversary and loved everything about the hotel. Perfectly situated in Shadekgasse, it is located on a corner of the main high street in the boutique shopping area of Vienna. Tons of shops to visit and both restaurants and bars in close proximity, it is much less touristy and less busy than the shopping area of Stephanplatz (which you must visit too). The train station is next door and the U3 gets you to stephanplatz in 10 minutes and to the palace in about 15 minutes via the tram from Westbanhof (or you can walk up the street to Westbanhof and simply jump on the tram to the palace). We also ate in the hotel restaurant, Chez Bernard, and the food and drinks were excellent. A very classy place and recommended you book a table. We got squeezed in as we didn’t book, but we wouldn’t have had we not told the front of house we were staying at the hotel as it is very popular with the public not staying at the hotel. Finally - Moto Bro is the hotels bakery on the high street. Amazing coffee, bread and cakes!! 5 star - tremendous stay ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Our stay didn’t include breakfast and this was our preferred option as we wanted to explore Vienna’s coffee culture and just across the road we had Cafe Ritter, which was an old coffee house but more popular with locals than tourists which was a delight for us. We did eat breakfast in the hotel once and found it to be absolutely delicious with extremely attentive staff who looked after guests beautifully seeing to their every need. Our room was a deluxe room and was absolutely perfect, the glamorous individual styling made it feel homely but also stunning to stay in but with hidden tech it had everything a discerning guest could want or need, The hotel bakery Motto Brot is also a great bonus, we had filled rolls and a lovely cake( left on my birthday in our room as a treat) . We think the hotel is really outstanding and it really helped to make our stay in Vienna memorable and very special on my 65th Birthday celebration.

Hotel Motto is the ideal place to stay in Vienna. The attention to detail, from the décor, to the wonderful restaurant and the amazing roof terrace, is very impressive. The travel instructions from the airport were very clear and in no time at all using the train and the U-Bahn we arrived right at the hotel door. The staff were exceptionally friendly and made us feel very welcome. We loved the atmosphere in the restaurant and found the menu to have plenty of options, including for a vegetarian. We hope to back in Vienna very soon and will definitely be staying in the Hotel Motto.

Bakery had the best almond croissant I’ve tasted and chez Bernard was also delicious, the nicest meal we ate all week and the cocktails were pretty good too. Emailed before hand to arrange transport from airport and this was sorted with no problem. Highly recommend

Brilliant hotel with the exception of the restaurant and bar. We tried the bar one night but were turned away as “too busy” the next night it was closed but we sat there and bought drinks at the restaurant bar ( had to carry them up the stairs ourselves. The “comfy” atmosphere in the restaurant is basically low level tables and soft chairs to eat from , very uncomfortable and so close together you could join in the conversations over the tables nearby. The waiter was offhand and inattentive. As we ate there the first night nothing would have persuaded us to repeat the experience. The rest of the hotel was exceptional though.

Probably one of the best hotels I have every stayed in when traveling internationally. The hotel was beautiful, very clean, and the entire staff was so friendly and helpful! The rooms (we had two for our family who came) were each so lovely, and the restaurant on Floor 7 was AWESOME! Such delicious food and a bar that was great. Yulialia the bartender was our favorite, so very friendly and welcoming, and the restaurant's evening manager was so accomodating and helpful! The front desk staff ALWAYS had a smile on their face and welcomed me back to the hotel. They took care of every need we had! I would highly recommend this hotel. Dixie from the U.S.A.

The hotel is very nicely decorated with lots of attention to details to make our stay comfortable. The front desk staff was helpful and nice. The o ly downside is the smell of the restaurant kitchen that somehow floods the lobby (even though the restaurant is on the top floors) and that the restaurant was always so busy, you needed to reserve a table ahead of time or wait a while to be seated. Fortunatelly there are lots of other options for breakfast nearby.

I was disappointed with the room; while very comfortable, looked a little run down, dusty and found some bugs that looked like silverfish. When I told front desk, she said they were everywhere because of rain. No apology. I stayed at the Leo Grand, 2 weeks before, no bugs. I also would not choose location again. Not convenient for getting around. The rooftop bar was excellent.
