There was a bad sewage odor on the second floor. When reported, it was corrected the next day. But it started to build up again the day after that. Access to the village for eating out and entertainment was excellent. Hot tubs were well maintained and clean.

I liked this property very much. In particular, the location was perfect because you are right in the Village. It was easy to get to the lifts, restaurants, and stores. Another major benefit was the garaged parking. My car was sheltered from the elements and away from pedestrians, etc. So, I highly recommend this property for a winter ski trip.

Came during the summer with our family for a wedding nearby. Beautiful outdoors as always. We couldn’t figure out AC so just slept with the windows open. The pull out coach was kinda gross - stains on cushions, couldn’t tell if the sheets in the couch were clean, etc. the wifi works but not great for conference calls - i kept getting disconnected. The staff was nice and accommodated our late checkout request - past 1 pm it’s $25/hour which was reasonable. Note - there are only 2 places to get breakfast in the village. The coffee shop was out of what seemed like everything from their breakfast menu and the other açaí bowl/smoothy place was just meh. I would bring breakfast stuff next time since the unit had a full kitchen.

The guys at the reception had no clue about anything. Upon asking anything his response was ‘I don’t know’ and asked his colleague if she knew. We had 3 room reservations and requested if the rooms can be close on same floor or have an apartment with 3 bedrooms and response was they have 3 separate reservations and cannot do anything. For 3 rooms, I had to pay 6 times at check in (2 times per room to cover the Resort Fee and Incidental Fees) - such a waste. And finally after requesting a crib in a room at the time of reservation, I asked which room has the crib - the same standard response ‘I don't know’. Finally, the double bed in the room was dirty with nuts and food items spread on the sheets.

Disappointed with our stay. They turned off the Wi-Fi very early the day of discharge (before 5 am) and this was what the resort fee was for. There was no air conditioning and if you opened the window there was a motor noise that ran 24 hours a day. Very annoying. Most of the shops, etc were closed. The water faucets were terrible. The place did not feel clean and comfortable. Would not recommend.

Beautiful room with beautiful views and plenty of space! No AC however. They just had little AC machines in the bedrooms but not in the living area or bathroom so it was 80+degrees. The AC machines were also very loud and it was hard to sleep because of the noise. I would stay here again but not in the middle of summer.

Smallest two bedroom we've stayed in. The room was sooo noisy. Every single car driving through the parking lot, deliveries, you could hear it all. The ice machine would fill and then dump usually twice during the night and woke us up each time. The blinds- didn't keep any light out- Suns out at 6 and we all had to be up then too. The master bedroom had some old Velcro stuck along the window because someone tried to make black out shades. Felt like a vacant apartment rather than a homey condo. Weird chairs in the kids room that had no place. Living room had a small couch and a bunch of little Ottomans to sit on. The dining table was the biggest thing in the condo and I can't even imagine squeezing 6 people in here. We've stayed in much bigger 2 bedrooms here and expect some sort of consistency in our bookings.

Location is prime - but the village area food was not the greatest. Hotel was acceptable but everything was dated, and minor malfunctions. Screen on windows bent or holes in some. Dishwasher only worked half way then stopped. Some chairs wobbly and or unstable. You would think that the property would do a better job on upkeep because of the price and location but the entire village lacked effort.

Just a few minute walk to slopes and in the heart of the village. Friendly staff. Enjoyed the billiards and game room as family time before dinner. Rooms are good size but dated. Only needed them for sleep, but none of us slept well due to a few issues. 1. Heat/AC seems to be centralized or perhaps our rooms unit was broken. It was super hot (luckily it was snowing so we could open windows, but you’re choosing between freezing and sweating). 2. Not confident the sheets and blankets in the sleepaway sofas were clean. Spare blankets were old and itchy. Pillows worn down and need replacement. 3. Phones to connect to front desk dont work - had to call main line from my cell. We had a fantastic time and understand ski lodges have a lot of rustic charm. Hope some of these updates are reasonable

We've had several wonderful stays in the village. But, room 206 in the orange parking section was ridiculous hot when we arrived and it took until the middle of the night to cool of making it very uncomfortable. The wooden furniture was worn out and missing most of its stain. Furthermore, the technology was seriously outdated. No one since 2005 brings DVDs on their trip. The owners really need to upgrade to a SMART TV so guests can mirror or stream their entertainment. And, the pillows were rock solid with an overly soft, hot mattess.. Sadly, the room was no better than a Motel 6 for over $300 a night.

They gave us an upgraded room for no reason at no extra cost. The Hotel was pretty much empty so I'm sure it was to advertise. It was a nice suprise when opening our room door. The only negative I would say is that there was no central AC. They did supply a box fan. Would be nice if they had at least ceiling fans. All and all, it was a nice Clean Hotel and we very much enjoyed our stay. We would definitely stay here again.

I wanted to check out the north side of Tahoe before heading to our stay in Southlake Tahoe. The room was fine, but a bit dated. Palisades was rather on the quiet side on this day, August 27. The view was incredible throughout the village. Our overall impression was good enough that we will return in the spring of 2026.

We really enjoyed our summer stay at The Village. Room was great. The little village was quaint. I would love to come back in the winter as I'm sure it's a whole different experience. The staff was superb! All of them. Gary, Tristan, Katie. They were all wonderful. They went out of the way to upgrade our room when ours wasn't a good fit, helped us with tickets and activities. 5 stars for the staff alone!!

There was a Van Expo occuring on the parking lot, which was noisy on Friday and Saturday evening, a lot of people talking out loud in front of our windows and balcony until 1:00 AM. Also the restaurant across from our window was supposed to close at 9 PM, per the staff, on Saturday at 11:00 PM was still open and with loud music. The Hotel could have provided a room further away from this event, since they knew about the noise issues. The hotel was appear to be over 50% empty, They could have choosen to provide us a room further away from these activities.

My husband and I enjoyed our ski trip to Palisades. Our room was amazing... super convenient to the slopes. Really not a bad location in the resort - all very walkable to the ski lifts. Loved it!

We loved this property! You wouldn’t have to leave if you didn’t want to! Restaurants, music, things to do. Close to Truckee and Lake Tahoe. Staff were very kind and helpful. We can’t wait to return to ski!

Pleasant stay at the Village at Palisades Tahoe, site of the old Squaw Valley ski resort, towards the end of July 2024. Weather was great, and the resort was not busy at all. We had a 1 bedroom condo with king bed and two queen sofa beds, full kitchen, balcony, and access to gym, spa, and underground parking. Place was clean though it is showing its age. Full kitchen had enough to get by, but not fully stocked. We had to ask for paper towels, there was only salt and pepper for spices, no plastic wrap or aluminum foil, etc. King bed was OK. Overall the place was comfortable. Adequate dining options with a few restaurant, cafe, and yogurt shop. We rented bikes and road along the Truckee river and did some other hikes. Didn't do the tram as it was pretty expensive. One night they had some bands playing so that was a time with a lot of people. People were friendly and helpful. We had to ask for more shampoo/conditioner, had to ask to have the portable AC unit exhaust hose to be reattached, and the elevator was out for about 30 minutes. Overall, enjoyed the time there and might considering returning.
