The property was advertised as a resort and it is …kind of. What it really seemed to be was of separate condos complexes, which were all gated off from each other with security gates. We were delegated to the pool on your property. Which was under renovation and closed. You could visit a few other pools but they were to far from each other that it didn’t make sense to go. There was very little hot water in our room. It would run out after 3-5 minutes. The bed was comfortable. The rest of the room was ok. A little dated. Golf courses were really nice. Beach was great. Bike rentals were ok. Not much else to do. Drove off the property several times for dinner.

We were told we could go to any pool on the property but was not allowed. The pool we were allowed to go to was super crowded and people were finding TONS of DEAD LITTLE FISH at the bottom of the pool! It took us almost an hour to find our room. We were unaware these were individually owned condos and were therefore under condominium guidelines. The check in people were incredibly unhelpful and rude. The dryer wouldn't dry our clothes and one of the burners on the stove didn't work. There was only one elevator working for the Fourth of July weekend. It was a TERRIBLE experience and we will definitely not make the mistake of staying here again.

The unit we ultimately were placed in did not match description as booked (ground floor to beach). We were on the second, and no indication pool was being renovated & unuasable. Based on logistics of property, there is no way we could access beach. The phot relied on when booking was deceptive. Condo wasn’t terrible, but could be better maintained. Beach club was nearby but so-so in quality & usable pool overcrowded & too small. The resort was well maintained. Registration could be improved.

The room we were first assigned was filthy upon check in. The bathroom had not been cleaned, visible pubic hairs of whom we assumed stayed before us. We complained and we we given a new room. Nicer but the floor was so completely filthy that it made our feet dark brown as we walked on it. Also, our toilet had to be plunged 2 times in a three day stay. Finally, maintenance called in a professional to snake the toilet and he found a bar of soap lodged deep in the pipe. We did not do that and he said it was a problem with housekeeping doing it. Also, our second night i asked the front desk for an extra blanket and they said they could not get me one due to housekeeping being gone. It was 5pm on Sunday afternoon. So i had to wait to be warm until the next night. I had to call back during the day Monday to get the blanket. My stay I saved for sucked. I will not recommend Sandestin property.

Well, the view from the hotel room is beautiful. The only thing that caught my attention was the coffee maker — it was dirty. The coffee maker in the room needs to be replaced. I wasn’t able to enjoy a coffee, and there wasn’t even water available to make one. Also, the vending machine for water wasn’t working. Other than that, the room was clean. This isn’t the cleaning staff’s fault, but rather the property’s responsibility to invest in a new coffee maker.

The resort was great but the condo that we saw online was not the one we stayed in. It wasn't a condo it was a hotel room from vintage 90's. Seager's was amazing and was a throw back to when eating out was dinning. The food was the best I have had in a long time and the service was superb.

We absolutely loved Sandestin and will definitely be coming back! The rooms were comfortable and spacious. We were within walking distance of anything we wanted to do. If not we had a car, although you could easily Uber to anywhere for a small fee. There was something going on every night for free! My kids had a blast!!

this property is a huge conglomerate of multiple condos hotels apartments, villas ect that are very spread out on both sides of highway 98. depending on where you stay it can differ in satisfaction. We originally had a condo unit with horrible beds, and a smell in the hallway. We moved to the SandestinGrande Hotel, and it was much more comfortable and convenient to the amazing wharf area.

Upon arrival for check in. We checked in at the front desk and received our keys and instructions to our room. As we approached our room door the house keeping were still cleaning the room. We were a bit confused as to why housecleaning was cleaning while we were cleared to check in. It’s already disappointing enough that check out is at 10am and you expect your guest to be out by then but check in is at 4pm and the rooms aren’t ready or fully cleaned. Very disappointing. My last concern is the fact that during our entire stay we did not see 1 staff member the entire time during our stay. It looked like a complete ghost town in the lobby. No security or anything. Outside of all of that everything else was enjoyable. Please do better with your housekeeping and making this place feel safe.

What i hated most about the property were the staff, checkin was at 4pm we got there at 3:45 for check in the lady told me the staff was still cleaning my room and they would send a message to notify when the room was clean almost 6pm and still no text to say the room was ready but i let my skepticism prevail and checked no cleaning cart nobody inside the room sounds great right? No because we never received a text message saying it was done and it cut into our wind down after a 13 and a half hour drive to the resort, i figured the next day i would have received a apology from the staff since check-in is at 4 and i payed to be in the room at 4 and they ate into my stay time mind you check out is at 10am so what were the staff doing that whole time. Thats the only gripe i had with the staff. Other than that the place was great, beautiful scenery quiet atmosphere and friendly neighbors.

Horrible experience. We planned the trip in advance to stay in a house with greater comfort. We didn't want an apartment. We drove for 13 hours. We arrived for check-in at 4:00 pm, and our reservation wasn't ready yet. It was only ready at 7:30 pm. When we arrived, it was an apartment on the fourth floor. We went back to reception to ask questions. They told us that the house was having problems and then moved us to an apartment without saying anything. We continued to question them, saying that when we make reservations through third parties, Expedia doesn't really follow what's shown on the website, and that they deceive us. We continued to question that we wanted another house, and they told us they were going to cancel our reservation at exactly 8:30 pm. Totally rude, with no consideration for the customer, and a complete lack of empathy for people.

There was work going on, so a little noise one day, and construction fences were around, but that wasn't too bad. The only major issue I had was checking in. There were not clear and easy directions on where to check in. Once checked in, everything else was fine.

Had one of the best bloody Mary’s poolside. Front desk was not very helpful. The gentleman was very short and rude when answering questions was almost like I inconvenienced him. Parking lot is limited and if you can’t find a spot, don’t bother calling the front desk no resolve to a problem unimpressed love the area will find a different place next time

When we booked, we were promised early check-in. Needless to say we didn’t get in till an hour and a half after official check-in. We didn’t get into our room till 6pm and the resorts customer service was rude and didn’t care about our special accommodation. The first room we were give was awful. There was construction being done to the building and our room had what seems to be an air mattress on the bed and the windows to the balcony was covered with plastic. We had no visibility to the beach and the door was sealed shut to the balcony. We returned to guest services with our concerns. We were please with the results, after we discussed our problems with our room and guest services were able to give us another room. The replacement room was much better.

We started out at the Bayside hotel. It is very inconvenient as far as beach access. This resort is huge with five or six different buildings. Not their fault that I didn’t realize that in the beginning. They do have a trim service that takes you around but sometimes you have to wait a little while. They only have one place that serves breakfast. It was very good but lots of people. We asked to change buildings and were upgraded to the luau tower which was walking distance to the beach. Highly recommend that building for beachgoers. Quality of the rooms in both hotels was good and the beds were very comfortable. Hardly any restaurants on the property, which was very disappointing. We did eat lunch at the Beachside club, which was probably the worst seafood I’ve ever had in my life.

Overall 1 of the best places i've stayed at in a long time. This resort has everything on site so there is really no need to leave - which is a huge plus to me. Food amazing. Drinks amazing. And if you do leave the property there are shopping and dining options that are very convenient.

Everything that you need is in the village. Once you park your car, you do not have to drive it again until you are ready to leave. Great food and entertainment.

Our room was not in good shape the beaches were packed. The only real dining option was the beach bar and we could never seem to find the shuttle so we took uber a lot. I will not be returning
