The TRS pool was amazing and they had fun aqua activities during the day like aerobics and water bike class. Overall the service was amazing no matter where you were from the check-in, to shops, to dining and concierge. The resort was pristine everywhere. The only little hiccup was waiting for shuttles to take you from different areas, sometimes the wait was a little long in the heat but it wouldn't deter me from staying again! Shout out to Angel at the front desk, Adrian at concierge and David and Cielo at Villa 59 and the entire staff at Helios for exceptional service!

We had a wonderful time at the Grand Palladium White Sand. It was very nice to receive the VIP access from Expedia. My favorites restaurants were at TRS. Capricho was the best option for breakfast and lunch. For dinner we went to Portofino, Bahia Brasa, El Gaucho and La Boheme and La Adelina. The best bar at night was at White Sand with Roger and Vladimir. During the day I went to Rocco’s and Ariana snd bar attenders were great. The staff in our building were great. Our concierges, Cielo and David were excellent! We had a great room service ( cleaning, beds, towels, bathroom ). There are many places to walk and many walkways with shade. The girls enjoyed the gym and I really liked the spa. The only downside was the beach and the sargasso ( algae ). But the hotel has an excellent pool with sea water). We really enjoyed our stay, however the VIP access made a great difference.

We just returned home from a week stay and I’ll leave my honest review then be on my way from this page. The resort is a beautiful resort. The people are all very friendly. Upon checking in we were upgraded to VIP guests due to booking through Expedia. I’m not sure why it mattered that we used Expedia, but it granted us access to all resorts including TRS and FS. We were given butler service, which we mainly only used for booking Ala Cart restaurants. Cielo and David were great, always checking in with us and got us Ala carte each and every night including the day we arrived. They also left us a bottle of champagne and chocolates on our last night. We really enjoyed the White Sands pool, as I forgot to mention we stayed in the WS building 59. The pool was the least packed of all of the pools, as compared to Colonial where you could never find a chair after about 10 am. We ate at Portofino, La Adelita, Le Petit Chef (upcharge), El Dorado, Sumptori, and Helios, also The Nest for breakfast once. All were good, but we really didn’t like La Adelita even though it’s Mexican it’s not what we are accustomed to back in the states. The gym is very nice and clean with lots of free weights and machines. The outdoor courts are nice with baskstball, pickleball, archery, pellet shooting, and shuffleboard and mini golf (not great). We walked a lot (20k steps per day), although you could use trolleys if you like. We did one trip to Tulum via collectivo and visited the Ruins. Entertai

Property was very clean, all staff was very attentive, exceeding expectations, helped us coordinate cars to activities and airports without asking first, to nearby towns, shuttling around the resort, and gave honest advice and guidance for visiting local places. Only complain is almost every bar closes at 5-6pm, thought this was interesting for an all inclusive resort. The pool and public areas become a ghost town in the early evening, was not expecting this vibe. The only bars open late are in the hotel lobby’s.

I booked for white sands and as a returning customer (who previously stayed at the Kantenah), I was very excited to stay at the white sanes side of the resort - however it turns out it was heavily under construction on that side and I spent all my time at the other 2 resorts. While the resorts are very beautiful and I have no complaints about them, I was looking forward to the beauty of white sands and was unable to see anything as everything was tarpped up. It was disappointing, especially since I previously got married here and wanted to revisit it, but it was closed. Also it was kind of dangerous that we had to walk along the roadway that the trollies drive on to get to the other resorts because of the construction. Especially dangerous at night time since there are no lights on this roadway. I would have very much loved to have seen the resort I booked at. I also woukd have like to kave known in advance that it was under construction and maybe I would have booked at the Kantenah or Colonial instead. I also did not enjoy being harassed every day by the TRS promoters trying to sell us on the members only buy in. I love the Grand Palladium resorts in the mayan riveira. I just wish we didnt book white sands under false pretenses. Construction is understandable for upkeep, but if I had known, it would have saved a lot of stress and hassle upon arrival.

We had experience of outstanding service at Grand Palladium White Sand Resort in every way. The staff was super friendly. We had two concierges at our villa - Cielo and David - who was in touch with us with all tiny details of our needs. We got a welcome bottle of champagne in our room and then bye rose bottle. The swimming pool and buffet were all nearby. Everything was so comfy and feel like home. and entertainment was amazing!

We were very much hesitant booking that resort due to 8 out of 10 rating... However, it was not too bad. Except for being severely overpriced due to the Spring break :) First of all. Food. You will see in the reviews that "food is subpar", etc. Not at all. We were eating at buffets only, no a a la carte (we hate ordering food and waiting for it). Don't go to the buffet in White Sands. It's truly subpar :) Instead, go to the Hacienda's in Colonial. The food is great there. Selection, quantities - everything is good. The resort is huge, but for us it was a plus. Walking from one place to another - I was getting over 20 000 steps every day and it's great. but if you don't like walking - there are golf carts for lazy people. The gym is nice. The beach area is long, probably about 1 mile long or so, but swimmable area is only in the "Family selections" area and it's about 100 yards long. Everybody is there, pretty much. All other areas of the beach are rocky and it's impossible to get into the water without breaking your legs :) The life guards are way too restrictive. There is no area that is clearly marked for swimming but if you move out of some area that's acceptable for them (by eyeballing, I guess) - they start whistle blowing, annoying you way too much. Overall, the resort can benefit from a better landscaping - there was a lack of color... A lot of greens, but much red. At bar, they touch lime/mind/pineapple pieces with bare hands... Rooms are OK.

Our families enjoyed our stay at the Grand Palladium White Sands. The ability to have access to all pools and hotels was fantastic. The dinner locations were enjoyable and the food was delicious. The buffets were also great. The staff was extremely accommodating and getting around the resort was easy with the shuttles picking you up every few minutes. I would also like to send a shout out to David and Cielo who assisted us with everything that we needed such as dinner reservations, shows, shuttle pick up etc. We all really enjoyed having them around at a moments notice. Our family cant wait to go back again soon!

This resort blew me away. Absolutely stunning. The pictures do no justice, the staff was so friendly and welcoming. The whole hotel was the cleanest hotel iv ever stayed in. The food was incredible. Which isn’t normally typical for an all inclusive. This was the most unexpected pleasurable experience I have had. There was entertainment every night somewhere, the resort is huge so be aware of some shuttling around, but there is an endless variety of different options for everyone. Whether with kids, no kids. We will definitely be coming back here. The detail to everything was amazing. Very happy we chose this property.

The white sands pool was great! It was large, clean, quiet with sufficient chairs! White sands beach area is small, but you can always walk down to the sisters resorts beach areas, but you will not have access to the chairs within those sections. Staff were great Ceilo and David were the best with securing dinner reservations for us, as they were stationed in building 59 during the early mornings and late nights. Rooms were super clean and refreshed daily, they did smell of mildew upon entrance but resided upon ac start up. Resort is grand, safe, well kept and beautiful overall. Drinks were hit or miss, we found that some bar attendants created better drinks than others, you must ask for liquor specifics if you have a preference. Food was ok, it gets repetitive, but you will by no means starve. My traveling party did visit the spa and were very pleased with the services. We did visit most of the other resorts as we had access, they were nicer in terms of liquor selections and food but I would have been content with just with just being limited to White Sands.

Everything was great. The staff were incredible, and the resort was so clean. The website is probably the least useful tool there is to you, but their app is pretty good. They have 8 sit down restaurants, and you should definitely book reservations for, they do sell out. There are also buffets, breakfast and lunch were good, dinner was disappointing but the sit down food is incredible. There is one 24 hour restaurant at the Colonial, and the food is pretty good there too, this is mostly American style food here. The beach at white sands specifically is rocky and not very useably, but it is beautiful, you get access to the other Grand Palladio resorts on property, so we went to the Colonial beach and it was perfect. We liked White Sands because it was quiet, not too loud despite there being lots of people. The colonial was much more lively as they have entertainment every night, and they host weddings, but there is always something cool to check out there. We enjoyed walking over after dinner and seeing the live bands, dancers and activities.

We had such a horrible time. But what really bummed us is that It was our first time traveling with our little ones and it was my mother in laws first time in Mexico. We wanted her to feel welcomed and have a good time. Me and my husband have been to other hotels around the area but our experience here was awful. Right when we checked in, the receptionist Enrique was not nice. We got to our room, it looked as if it was not cleaned. The bathroom, shower was dirty.The beds, pillows smelled bad.Floors were dirty. We tried booking restaurants right on arrival and were all booked from Thursday to Monday expect 10 pm (which is closing time) plus who wants to eat so late with little kids?The gentleman in charge of booking looked beyond annoyed as if we were bothering him. He suggested we just eat in the buffet all those days.He said the food was fresh, delicious & they had a lot of options. We walked into the buffet right upon them opening (around 6:40 pm) The food was COLD. No flavor at all. Everything was terrible. We decided to go back to the room, pack our bags and do a check out. Next day, spoke to supervisor Milagros, she had such a BAD attitude, not wanting to help at all or ask what went wrong or why we felt we needed to check out. I would want a supervisor to at least be nice to my guests and TRY to fix a situation. I feel I would have stayed if we were treated welcomed and with respect. Is everyone here just rude? Choose another hotel, save yourself the headache please.

Sadly the beaches were full of seaweed and no proper equipment to clear them. The employees tried but there was just too much, they needed skid steers, not rakes.. The lobby area had a disgusting raw sewage smell ...it was repulsive but nothing was done to ammend it. Its a shame because otherwise the resort was quite nice. I wouldn't go back to this particular resort. The TRS side was much better and even there the food was hit or miss.

Like: Everyday average staff. Nice, helpful, and accommodating. Dislike: Dated resort. Hard sell timeshare club sale. Food was average to poor at time. Transport around the resort was not organized unless you sign up for the club or were in TRS. Beach was a joke. No real beach in most locations. TRS and family select have ok beaches but still not what I expected. Most alcoholic drinks are watered down or bad brands unless you are in TRS or the club. White sands lobby smelled of sewage unsure if it was related to construction. AC and refrigerator were down at check in. Room service ordering was poor. They always left off one or two items.

La habitacion estaba muy bien muy cuidada, grande, completa, con un gran y bonito balcon, situada a escasos metros de la playa. El baño amplio, con ducha y jacuzi. El servicio muy bueno y amable, cambiaban las toallas diariamente. Si tuviera que destecar un punyo negativa, aunque no nos molesto absolutamente nada....fue que la nevera no estaba completa al llegar, no habia ningun snack y no repusieron bebidas y snack hasta un dia antes de irnos. This property mostly has a garden view. There are no beach view rooms in any of the buildings. It’s so massive as well so be ready to do A LOT of walking. Food also was mediocre didn’t taste fresh nor good quality. We had made reservations at a few restaurants and the first one was Italian spot portofino, it was NOT good literally left the plates the way they came. However the staff are great and very helpful especially the concierge David and Cielo. Would i come back to this resort ? The answer is no. I’ve stayed at a much better places the were rated less and had much better food, better rooms, better views and better beach.

Although I still review highly, I had a very off stay. We were here 2 weeks. In that time we had the following calls/requests made. Day 1 - Umm, the patio door will not open. Once opened after some man-handling by staff, don't close it all the way. There is no outside handle. I'm running out of text, so here it goes. Ants. AC failure. Power randomly shuts off. Racoons chasing you. "Shuttles" repeatedly tell you "the next one". It's never the next one. Heat index at 108°F and you just want to get to any lobby (there are 4). And the audacity to pressure me to attend a 30 year vacation plan as I walk in? For $39,000...

Our first impression was it was beautiful! All the staff were very nice and accommodating, some language barrier, but not too bad. Our room was big and comfortable. Only issue with the room was the phone didn't work. Had to ask 3 times for someone to come look and fix it. Still dodnt work when we left 5 days later.Overalll, we had a great time.

The property is really big (bring your walking shoes) with many different types of accomodations. Beachside just means you are kind of near the beach. Not worth the etxra spend, in my opinion. I booked through hotels.com and got a surprise when I arrived, a friendly concierge duo in building 59. Cielo and David were there to answer any questions, help with last minute reservations at restaurants, etc. 10/10 accomodating and friendly service all around, from all staff! Lots of local wildlife, while we are instructed NOT to feed them, there are those who chose to defy. These animals are now emboldened to approach you as you dine in the outdoor spaces during the day. That said, the place is beautiful and Id reccomend to persons who enjoy being surrounded by nature and wildlife!

We were upgraded to VIP status and had 2 conciegre/butlers assigned to us. They took care of anything we needed, from dinner reservations to golf cart transportation, to shows/entertainment. Everythinf was all inclusive and the food was delicious. Every night after sinner, we would find some dessert or pastry in our room. On the last night, chocolate covered strawberries with a note from our conciegres. The only thing I didn't like was we had to sit through a 1.5 hour sales pitch (like a timeshare) that we were not interested in buying. Other than that, amazing experience!

Amazing stay. Excellent staff. Top-notch food especially if you book the à la carte restaurants. Only damper the reason why I gave less than 5, they tried push selling a travel club thing for 12k that was never going to happen. Wasted 2 hrs and the mood at the end when they tried pushing the sale.

Concierge service was the absolute best! Shoutout to Cielo & David who helped us on our stay. They helped book dinner reservations, shuttles & anything else we needed. I was a bit hesitant traveling with a toddler who drinks milk consistently but Cielo always made sure our room was stocked with milk. They made our stay so much more convenient! The staff at all the restaurants were always friendly.

Our family of 4 (kids 4 & 6) really enjoyed our stay at the resort. There was plenty of options for the whole family when it came to pools, food, beaches, and entertainment. The beach and grounds were kept very clean. Most of the action at pool and beach took place at the Colonial, so keep that in mind when booking. There was ample transportation between hotels when needed, and you could even get rides directly to your room if needed. I would recommend the resort to anyone looking for a trip that can please any group. One suggestion when checking in, ask if you have access to the "family selection" as these areas a great for keeping kids entertained.

We had a great experience. Staff is friendly and helpful. Property is immaculate. The only thing we wished we had known is that it is actually 3 resorts in 1. Its a large facility that can get confusing to navigate. If you do not take a trolly, there is a lot of walking involved to get the advertised amenities, that we were not prepared for.

I liked that the resort was large as I like walking. If you don't like walking then maybe not for you. However, there is on-site transportation to take you to the different areas. Resort was beautiful and well maintained overall. The beach was a bit disappointing - it is long, but narrow. And some of it is very uneven....so your lounger is on a slope which is kind of awkward. The water is hit & miss depending on the waves & seaweed which is not in the resort's control. Pool areas were nice and had lots of loungers and activities.

We were very much hesitant booking that resort due to 8 out of 10 rating... However, it was not too bad. Except for being severely overpriced due to the Spring break :) First of all. Food. You will see in the reviews that "food is subpar", etc. Not at all. We were eating at buffets only, no a a la carte (we hate ordering food and waiting for it). Don't go to the buffet in White Sands. It's truly subpar :) Instead, go to the Hacienda's in Colonial. The food is great there. Selection, quantities - everything is good. The resort is huge, but for us it was a plus. Walking from one place to another - I was getting over 20 000 steps every day and it's great. but if you don't like walking - there are golf carts for lazy people. The gym is nice. The beach area is long, probably about 1 mile long or so, but swimmable area is only in the "Family selections" area and it's about 100 yards long. Everybody is there, pretty much. All other areas of the beach are rocky and it's impossible to get into the water without breaking your legs :) The life guards are way too restrictive. There is no area that is clearly marked for swimming but if you move out of some area that's acceptable for them (by eyeballing, I guess) - they start whistle blowing, annoying you way too much. Overall, the resort can benefit from a better landscaping - there was a lack of color... A lot of greens, but much red. At bar, they touch lime/mind/pineapple pieces with bare hands... Rooms are OK.

Overall, I enjoyed it. Some of the food and drinks could've been better. It would be nice if they had some kind of button to call for a trolley... It's kind of hot during the day and at night it's a little scary to walk through the wooded areas to get to your room.

Great resort. The dinning was fantastic and the pools were great. The beach was a little weedy and rocky by the White Sands and Colonial areas, but once to got into the water the sand down by the family select section was nice.

Terrible beds. And room service was kind of terrible. But overall the property looked super clean even though there was some construction going on. Plenty of food of decent variety but the food quality was just ok. Steaks are thin and well done no matter what. Burgers were terrible. And for some reason i tasted margarine in every dish. Why??? Service was good. One thing i would want them to change is to slow those carts down. Few times i had to jump out of the way and watched other people do the same thing. Always scary when they zoom around kids at that speed. So if you planning to go with kids keep an eye on them at all times. Beach side was really clean and neat. I did enjoy ocean a-lot but bring your water shoes. Its a must if you planning to spend time in the ocean. Beach side bars had good selection of drinks and refreshments. "Family selection" is a good addition if coming with kids. What kid doesn't like Ice cream and popcorn by the beach all day long? Pool looked clean and well organized but thats all i can say about that.

We were upgraded to a larger room with a living room which was nice since we had our toddler and extra room is good. Our view from room was not a nice “garden view” I recommend a pool view. Special thanks to their partnership with Expedia, because the vip package gave us a “special” bracelet -not the paper plastic one, ours had twine strap with a wood charm that served as our key to our room- that gave us all access to multiple amenities at the neighbor palladium hotels, we stayed at white sands but the colonial had the water park- we were able to get golfcarted everywhere. I would say white sands was too quiet for us (we’re party parents) kantenah is a happy middle and colonial is the family hotel. They’re all very nice. TRS is also too quiet, it’s promoted as all adults (think older adults, not party adults). The alcohol beverages are better than what I’ve experienced at an all inclusive resort, lots of diverse alcohol options not bottom shelf. Make dinner reservations for ALL of your dinners the moment you arrive or you’ll be stuck eating at the buffet. I was not a fan of the buffets- if it weren’t for the omelet maker I would have been sad, the pastries were stale everyday. The lamps stay overheating and over drying everything. That being said, the dinners at the reserved restaurants were fab.

The food in the buffets are just ok. And got to eat in one of the specialties restaurants La paisana very good dinner. Just make sure you do the reservations for those Restaunats soon as you get there otherwise you will be eating ok buffet dinner every night

Everything was great. The staff were incredible, and the resort was so clean. The website is probably the least useful tool there is to you, but their app is pretty good. They have 8 sit down restaurants, and you should definitely book reservations for, they do sell out. There are also buffets, breakfast and lunch were good, dinner was disappointing but the sit down food is incredible. There is one 24 hour restaurant at the Colonial, and the food is pretty good there too, this is mostly American style food here. The beach at white sands specifically is rocky and not very useably, but it is beautiful, you get access to the other Grand Palladio resorts on property, so we went to the Colonial beach and it was perfect. We liked White Sands because it was quiet, not too loud despite there being lots of people. The colonial was much more lively as they have entertainment every night, and they host weddings, but there is always something cool to check out there. We enjoyed walking over after dinner and seeing the live bands, dancers and activities.

We stayed at the White Sands for 5 days and very much enjoyed it. Here are the good and the bad: Drinks bad. There is no real juice on the property, neither at the bar or the buffet. Everything is a weird cheap tasting artificial "fruit" flavor. Best of the bunch was passion fruit, depending on who mixed it for you; it was passable in a margarita or mojito. On day 3, I gave up and just had seltzer with lime. The house red wine is pretty good. AC worked, but the room always felt damp. Food: mostly mediocre. We preferred the buffets because you could always find something that was good. Tacos and Mexican food were great. Hibachi station at the Hacienda was great, too. Fruit always delicious. Service generally better at the Dahlia. The only good restaurant we ate in was Sumptuori, whose beef seemed to be better quality than the buffets, and our chef Paulino was great. The Paisana and Portofino had good salads, but none of us liked our entrees. Meat was chewy and pastas tasted weird--the butter in brown gnocchi butter sage sauce was margarine, I think, and there was no sage. The filling in the ravioli not good. Tiramisu nice, though! Good: beautiful grounds, super nice staff, & immaculately clean pool at the White Sands. Loved the jungle paths from the WS to the Colonial. Lots of activities! We love archery with the fabulous Mafer, water aerobics with Miguel. and playing pickle ball as a family. The boys had a great scuba experience. We used the gym twice-very good!

The property was amazing and beautiful. Never saw a mess anywhere. Staff was friendly and attentive. Food quality was mediocre, alot of flavor missing from alot of the mexican dishes which doesnt make sense considering location. Restaurants are reservation only and can only be reserved before 3pm so no spontaneous dinner plans after that. We were instructed to use the palladium app to reserve for dinner, which we were able to book and received a confirmation. Showed up at the restaurant for a 930pm reservation under this assumption and was told they couldnt take us at all (2 people) because we booked the reservation after 3pm, and sent us away without trying to accommodate us. This was at the brazilian steak house. Drinks were fairly inconsistent as well. Lobby had great espresso martinis but terrible mojitos. Pool had amazing mojitos and so forth. We had our rooms serviced and when we returned everything was fine. An hour or two would pass and we would be interrupted by a staff personally handing out small pieces of chocolates. On 1 of these occassion, the staff knocked and immediately entered the room before I could get out of the shower. On our last night something broke and water started dripping from our ceiling

First time at an all-inclusive. Spent the first half of the trip in a boutique hotel. The food was amazing. Came to the Grand Palladium, which is all-inclusive, and the food was okay. Drinks were poured light. You could find some great food at the variety of restaurants they have, but overall, it was just okay. Seems like a great place to bring kids. Seems like the whole theme was centered around food.

Staff was courteous & always helpful, David & Cielo (concierge) both were helpful. Just one feedback, this hotel needs to have more vegetarian food option as they had very less & we could not enjoy food.
