I was pleasantly surprised by this hotel. The shuttle service from the airport arrived at the scheduled time and check in was quick. The room was a decent size, the shower was very good and the bed was large with lovely clean and comfy bedding. The breakfast was also a good selection and as good as any other I had on my stay in China.

Suggest you avoid staying at this hotel. No airport taxi will agree to take you there because it is so close to the airport that their fare will be very low...and they have to line up for hours to get a customer. So you are dependent on the hotel shuttle bus. The problem is...this is a Holiday Inn property but the bus they use is from Ramada Inn. But no one tells you this. I called the hotel on arrival and they told me where to wait for the bus...but a Holiday Inn bus never came. How was I to know I should take the Ramada Inn bus? So I waited for over an hour and finally had to bribe a taxi driver to take me to the hotel. On arrival the manager just stuck to his story that "we sent a bus and you didn't take it." Like it was my fault.No apology at all. I was stunned. Needless to stay I would NEVER stay in this hotel again. A global brand like Holiday Inn seems not living up to its promise.

The staff at reception desk and breakfast were excellent. The hotel offers shuttle service to and from Pudong Airport which is handy. And metro station is within walking distance about 10 mins to catch Metro 2 line. One improvement needed is the chambermaids need to report to management which in turn can inform maintenance about any repairs warranted. Our first night stay encountered a bathroom with water damage and mold was developing. On checkout, we informed hotel management of the concern and was promised the room we would be getting upon return from our 8 days tour will not have that problem. Our next stay was a pleasant one. But again cleaning staff needs to report deficiency- there was a big gap between the shower door and its frame. We precauriously showered in such a way so water would not shoot out through the gap. We reported again at checkout. If nothing is done, water damage again can happen.

Free airport shuttle service (which stops at Holiday Inn Express and Ramada) was very convenient. I emailed the hotel's front office before my stay to ask about the shuttle service, they replied very promptly to provide the information and even the picture of the bus stops at Pudong Airport. There's a convenience store within easy walking distance. Breakfast was sufficiently supplied. In-room Wi-Fi was strong enough to allow me to do some work. There was no mini refrigerator in the room, I am not sure if it was just my room or the entire hotel.

Can't get thru the hotel on the phone. The local no on web site has an answering machine showing an invalid no. There is no instruction on how to set the room AC. It was hot all night and apparently, it was in the wrong setting. The internet connection was not clear. Apparently, it needs to add 0 to the room number. Overall, the instruction was not clear. It was under staffed and not well trained.

I could not be more thankful! After arrived at the front desk around midnight, I could not find my phone. The front desk staff asked if I took a taxi there and I said yes. He waited no time rushing out of lobby and stopped the taxi by the property gate; found my phone and brought it back to me. I was almost sure there was no way I could get it back anymore since I did not keep any info of the taxi. I could’ve lost my phone and credit cards which would’ve been a nightmare. Very smart and friendly staff! Above and beyond!

It is an airport hotel. So I know it is far from central Shanghai and it is not convenient to anywhere else except to the airport. The hotel offers free shuttles to and from the airport. Dinner was better than I expected and the breakfast was amazing, offering both Chinese and western items. It is an excellent hotel for its rating.

浦東空港からの早朝フライトに乗るため、前夜泊で利用しました。空港と往復するシャトルバスは、往復ともに予約不要でした。30分毎に運行されており、非常に便利。ホテルの周辺は、徒歩で行ける範囲には食事をするところは無いです。一応ホテルにレストランはありますが、80RMBでライトビュッフェ(朝食ビュッフェと大差ない内容)の提供しか無く、良くないです。ただしタクシーで10分程の距離に行けば、複数のレストランがあります。外国人であってもDiDi(タクシーアプリ)を設定しておくことをおすすめします。客室は清潔で、防音も良好でした。シャワーの水圧もGood。眠るだけと割り切れば非常に良いホテルでした。

I had no choice the first night. and the second night, I rather starve than to pay for sub par food and few choices. There was a convenience store behind the hotel but you have to go outside tge hotel & walk 20 minutes.
