No restaurant, no breakfast in the hotel. Outside choices of brekfast /food limited unless you walk further.

Such a convenient place to stay. Bathroom is big and beds are comfortable. A bit annoying if you have a car as approx $30 a day parking.

On Expedia this hotel is stated to have a pool and a hot tub but when asked in person, we were told that they no longer have a pool or a hot tub which was the main reason I booked my stay here

Thanks Imagine Beach Rd, I had a lovely, clean and comfortable stay. It would have been improved by some information about dining nearby as this property does not have a bar, restaurant or room service dining. Otherwise I will recommend.

Nice easy place to stay. Walking distance to britomart. They do have a deal with Wilson parking just up the road which makes it easier. Friendly staff. Thanks

Enjoyed everything about the accommodation. Would of preferred the housekeeping done earlier in the day when we out. Check in was a bit cumbersome due to no parking space close by to reception to check in & pay for parking accommodation neaby for 2 days

Would of been handy if there was parking on site, but they were helpful in sorting parking for us

The interconnecting room layout was good, however, the room and bed my daughters were in appeared to have bed bugs as they were covered in bites the following morning. Hotel generally ok, although finishings were rather cheap.

Everything was wonderful except the bathroom smelled of the sewer, which was really gross.

Well there were stains on the bed sheets when we first got there

The reverse cycle heater did not work and it was cold, took out heater from cupboard but cumbersome to install No person at reception and the bell on the outer door did not work room carpet was dirty and kettle was stained

Modern hotel, spotlessly clean, well-equipped, very comfortable bed. Excellent wi-fi. The hotel is in a great location close to Woolworths, restaurants, downtown, the Britomart, and the harbor. The staff are friendly and very accommodating. The hotel was also very affordable .

It was amazing. I give kudos to the housekeepers for doing great job!

Couldn’t get proper tv stations.

Pleasantly surprised with this relatively nondescript-looking hotel. Location was great, with just a 10-15 min easy walk to bars & restaurants in the Viaduct area. Room was exactly as pictured on the website - nice and spacious, with views out across the city (we were on the 11th floor)...although the exterior of the windows could do with a clean, they were filthy. Room was light and the sun warmed the room nicely, plus the air con did a great job of cooling it down. The writing desk seemed a little pointless & I feel it could be replaced with nicer seating instead. Good storage cupboard for keeping luggage out of the way. Bathroom was nice and spacious and the shower was lovely - could do with a towel rail in the bathroom though...the small rack over the toilet wasn't right for keeping towels on once used. Bed was incredibly comfortable & nice to have a choice of down pillow or a regular pillow. The room was very quiet - couldn't hear any noise from adjoining rooms & barely any street noise (we were on 11th floor though).

Room was big, modern, quiet and secure. Walkable to Ferry and Queen St shopping and restaurants.

Design was sleek and modern. Excellent shower. Comfortable bed. Reception staff were excellent. HVAC did not work properly even after the problem was reported. TV system was unfathomable and worthless.

The room was very clean and perfect size for 2 people. Ample room for bags and bed very comfortable. Reception staff were very friendly and helpful. There are a lot of places to eat and drink within a few minutes walking distance. The room is a little dark as we booked the studio but everything else more than made up for it.

Couldn't believe how quiet it was. Very comfortable and very convenient for going to Spark Arena, dining, bars, groceries.

This is our go-to hotel whenever we visit Auckland. It’s in a great location, rooms are spacious and very well appointed, and staff are friendly.

Fantastic value for the room! Blackout curtains are fantastic for helping to sleep during daylight or for a cinema like experience with Netflix (cast or hdmi to TV). Although the TV (4K 30 FPS) seemed to have poor audio quality (so I used the speakers of my own device instead), no issues with wifi either. Room was quiet, I did not hear my neighbors like other hotels I've been to. You can hear noise from outside the door, but when I left the room I could not hear my show playing. The door was rather thick and and a tad heavy. Only noise I initially had trouble with for sleeping was coming from the vents inside the room? (just above the TV for me) A humming sort of sound that I didn't notice at all while I had the TV on. There are no windows you can open, so I think that vent operating is unavoidable. Bring earbuds like calmer or loops if you need to block it out. The room felt spacious, comfortable bed and pillows, desks with 3 seats along the window side. A full length mirror on the wall in the corner. The usual kitchen amenities with most items below the tabletop cabinets including a fridge behind a wooden panel. Power points were ample. I was very happy with availability around the room, each side of the bed also had their own. Some have USB-A ports as well. Lighting was also brilliant. While no individual dimming controls, you have quite a few lights with convenient switch access to adjust to your liking. Bathroom was big and gorgeous, basin large, massive mirror.

The staff did not explain how the electricity worked in our room when we checked in. I had to go back down to the front desk to ask.

RACIALLY PROFILED. It was my first time in New Zealand after traveling to 4 countries prior. My check-in was smooth and the receptionist was polite. However, the next day I experienced THE WORST service at any hotel I’ve stayed at (and I’ve traveled to 46 countries!). I was taking some photos of myself with my tripod in the lobby because I enjoy photography. Bhakti Pandya approached me and asked if I was a guest at the hotel. I told her yes and she asked my room number, and I politely declined. Explaining to her I’m not obligated to give her my room number for safety reasons, but I told her I have my room key. She insisted on me giving her my room number because she “didn’t recognize” me as a guest and told me that there have been incidents of people doing drugs in the hotel lobby’s bathroom and knife assaults are on the rise in New Zealand. She didn’t approach anyone that was around me or that came after me with the same attitude, but decided to harass a brown man who was innocently taking photos of himself. I asked to speak to a manager and she told me she was the manager. She humiliated me in front of other hotel guests and even got other guests involved to prove her point. Minutes later, the receptionist that checked me in confirmed that I was a guest and Bhakti Pandya rudely apologized. I emailed the property management and never received a response regarding the matter. Additionally, there was a constant sewage smell in my room and no cared to remedy the issue.

The reception allowed me an earlier check in which was very convenient after a long flight. They were always friendly and helpful greeting me whenever I passed by during my stay. The hotel room is well appointed modern and new and had nice sized fridge supplied cutlery and plates. The room cleaning staff were wonderful and kept the room well during my stay. I was dissatisfied with the one news channel only available which was unsuitable. The area location was wonderful and convenient. I highly recommend this hotel ad will stay here again in the future.

Excellent stay, really comfortable and super friendly staff

We stayed four nights at this wonderful hotel on our way home to Canada. The lovely young women at reception were exceptional, we were able to get our room early and were able to have a late checkout as well ! We would highly recommend this hotel to people travelling to Auckland, great service, very clean, close proximity to bus service and walkable distance to the ferry service. Would rate Imagine hotel ten if possible

Very disappointed at how a simple request was handled by the staff. My travel plans required me to store my carry on luggage as I was traveling to another destination and returning to Auckland. One of the services mentioned on their website was luggage storage. So I booked two reservations with this property which would have allowed me to leave my bag. Well imagine my surprise the night before check out and I’m told the property does not store bags for more than a “few hours”. I asked if there could be an exception made because the site does not state that. She told me “she would get into trouble by her manager if she accepted the bag” I asked if she could check with her manager she told me “No, I’m sorry”. This is even after I explained I had another reservation and if they can’t accommodate this request I would need to cancel it. Her reply was “I’m sorry”. Needless to say I canceled the future booking. Was able to drop off my luggage at the other hotel with no problems. I’ve traveled to alot of countries and never had this issue. I wonder if her manager would more upset about a customer canceling a booking or storing a small carrying on bag….

Fastest check-in I've ever had at a hotel. My forms were printed and waiting for me when I walked in the door. I had my room keys less than 60 seconds after I arrived. Room was clean and spacious, building is well located, and the staff was excellent.

Front desk was extremely helpful and went out their way for us.

Loved our stay. Very close to waterfront, cruise port and shops. Buses right out front to all parts of the city.

This hotel is very conveniently located for events at Spark Arena, about a 3min walk, if that. Also less than 10min to bottom of Queen Street and Britomart / Commercial Bay shopping. Lots of cafes and restaurants nearby. The only negative was the inconsistency of timing for room service, every day we ended up being in the room when they came to change the towels, etc. But the staff were all extremely nice when we interacted with them. Room size was very good, even for just a studio. Highly recommend.

Great location, and easy to walk anywhere in the CBD or the University of Auckland. Staff was very friendly, and the room was clean. Great price for quality of the facilities.

Imagine Beach Road was a great place to stay, easy walking to shopping, art Gallery, ferries and Vector arena. The staff were friendly and it was very clean and tidy. I would definitely stay again.

The hotel was nice and very convenient to the CBD. There were good dining options nearby and a Woolworth's grocery store. We didn't have a car, so it wasn't an issue for us, but parking would be a challenge for anyone with a car.

Excellent choice! Located in Britomart - a very convenient area. 10 min walk to Queen St and ferry terminal. Galway St is about a 5 min walk away, and has a great collection of restaurants (my favorite was “kingii”). The owner Link bus (which takes you all over the city (including the Wynyard Quarter, K Road Ponsonby) has a stop just steps from the hotel entrance. Front desk staff is very welcoming and friendly. Room was clean and well-appointed.

Booked here for a few nights whilst in Auckland and so glad I did. Great location and very clean. Wasn't expecting the fantastic room I got. Only downfall is no food options at all. Would stay again for sure if in the area.

We went for a concert at Spark Arena, wasn’t sure how far it was but it was soooo close and convinient. A supermarket a block away as well as a coffee shop. The hotel is minimal in the sense it doesn’t have a restaurant, etc… but it’s just a few blocks to a lot of options and choices and the Imagine Beach hotel as Anju. The best front desk staff person I have ever had the pleasure of interacting with me. So personable and a shining example of genuine hospitality. Where I’m from a lot of hotel staff post pandemic have become rather disgruntled, but Anju was helpful, sweet, and even acknowledged us outside of the property when she saw us. The rooms were decent in size, clean, and the bed was comfortable. It was also a plus that it was away from a lot of the bars and pubs so it was quieter in the evening. Oh, and if you need there is a coin laundromat on the same block.

Fabulous. Clean, comfy beds (queen size only), extremely helpful front desk. Appreciated the dishes, frigid and microwave for our 5 day stay. Easy 15 minute walk from cruise ship dock. $40 NZD total for 2 people for 45 minute super shuttle back to airport. Easy walk to downtown. Minimal TV selection unless you can stream from your mobile device. Large Countdown grocery store 2 block away. Slightly limited dining options closeby.
