The staff were okay, but when I got to my room, I found there was no telephone in my room, (as advertised in their ad of room amenities), and no alarm clock! What say I had an urgent medical condition during the evening, I would not have been able to contact any-one for assistance! I mentioned the non-existent alarm clock for my wake-up, and just got a "no" from the receptionist! The room itself was pretty well presented and tidy. The bathroom was as expected except, there were rust spots in the bath, on base and side, which were fortunately, covered over with a silicone. With regards to the bed, I woke up each morning with a sore/stiff back, minor, due to the hardness of the mattress. This was probably due to my being used to a comfortable mattress at home! But what really 'bugged' me, was the unavailability of a morning breakfast at the restaurant, 'Strawberry Fare', as advertised! I went down to the restaurant for breakfast on my first morning only to find it closed, and not opening until 10am!! Upon my booking the accommodation, breakfast was available in the restaurant between 7am and 10am. I approached a restaurant staff member, who happened to be working out the back, (saw door open), and I was told that the 'Hotel' can't have told me. I did mention this to the 'duty receptionist' and he advised me that the restaurant was under "new management.....". He said said he would check the advert, and remove it! My stay at this Hotel was 'Not' as expected!
