This hotel is within walking distance to all the restaurants, bars, shops and station. It's a fairly typical business stay/conference hotel but I found the staff to be very friendly and helpful. My room (a Deluxe King) had everything I needed, including ironing-board, hairdryer, kettle with tea and coffee and the bathroom was modern and clean. The hotel restaurant wasn't open on the Sunday, when I was there, but I ate in the bar and the food and service was good. My favourite part of the hotel, and the reason I stayed there, was the pool, which is attached to the hotel (along with a gym, which I didn't use). It is open 6-10 daily, has friendly staff and, although it's showing some wear and tear, was very clean whenever I used it, early morning or evening, as was the surrounding area, sauna and steam room. There were sometimes coaching sessions happening in the pool in two roped off lanes, but it was still possible to swim in the centre. The changing rooms and showers appeared to be regularly cleaned. The leisure facility was accessed via various sets of stairs though, so I don't know how accessible it is.

Rooms were very clean and comfortable, great location for OVO Hydro. Hidden charges for parking which we thought were included in our room rate, so an additional unexpected cost. Pool area highly disappointing, half the pool is blocked off for swimming lessons which is unclear (a rather rude female swimming teacher will let you know tho!) and can’t really swim properly in the space left. Overall a good experience but don’t book this hotel for the leisure facilities.

Really enjoyed our stay here over Easter break 2025. Very friendly staff, excellent service, comfortable with easy onsite parking which was very important to me with the kids ( charged £12.50 a day). Good breakfast and reception lounge service. Close to M8 so easy day trip to Edinburgh and about 15 min walk to centre of all the busy shopping areas of the city.

Hotel is undergoing renovation. Toilet didn't work properly all the time. Staff was friendly and helpful. Great location next to Anderston Scott Rail Station with connection to Glasgow Central Station and Exhibition Center. Walking distance to Glasgow Central Station. Hop-on-off Tour bus stop across the street. Nice indoor swimming pool.

Really good hotel within 10 mins of the Hydro. Recommend over one very close that we also saw inside because of friends staying there. Nice pool, gym and spa. Great breakfast. Good bar for a nightcap. Friendly staff.

Room has plenty of room with comfortable bed and fantastic blackout drapes. Very fine hot breakfast included every morning which was a surprise for us. Fitness and pool facilities are outstanding.

Very disappointed in our stay. Room was ok but a bit tired. Spa was awful, broken or missing tiles in pool, pool walls were filthy with brown/yellow stains and pool water had a film over parts of it. Shower at poolside was dark and like being in a cupboard minus the door and it was not clean. Sauna was ok. This is by far the worst spa I have ever been in and not the standard I expected from the Marriott. The Spa is not easily accessible to disabled as you have to go down several flights of stairs then up a flight to get to the entry or you can walk around the outside perimeter of the hotel. I am disabled so not easily accessible. The fire alarm went off at 11.30pm and the hotel was evacuated. I was on 8th floor and had to be helped by other residents. Once down there was no one taking a register to ensure everyone had gotten out safely. Luckily this was a false alarm but we didn’t know that until later. Just as well as I would not have made it down from 8th floor otherwise. Staff knew I was disabled but did not come to assist or check on me. The hotel is currently being refurbished but we were not told this at time of booking/pre-paying. Only found out when hotel emailed to say what areas were closed off. All in all I was looking forward to having a nice relaxing Spa break after having a stroke but had a miserable and stressful time. We will not be back

I really enjoyed this hotel. It's located next to Anderston station but walkable in about 10 mins from Glasgow Central or Charing Cross, so handy if there are problems on the Argyll Line. My room was lovely and housekeeping was excellent (unlike certain hotels where you have to beg for housekeeping each day!). I've seen complaints about the mattress hardness but I didn't have a problem and I slept well. The TV was very large and had a range of international channels. I bought a package with breakfast included and the breakfast buffet was above average with a good offer of a full Scottish, including haggis. Only tiny minor complaint was it was instant coffee at breakfast. I'd definitely consider staying here again.

I've always had good experiences when staying there but this weekend was not the best. The room was not the cleanest. Tea or coffee had been spilled on the tiles in the bathroom and not cleaned off and there was cigarette ash all along on the window sills. A housekeeper woke us up just before 0800 to ask if she could come in and clean the room.

Comfortable, large hotel with a friendly vibe and standard corporate decorative touches. Spacious room (junior suite) with views over the motorway and south of the city. There were interconnecting doors on both sides of my suite, with no sound proofing, making it possible to hear phonecalls in neighbouring rooms on both sides, on my first night. I could not hear the motorway though, and it was quite through the night. The bathroom was spacious with a large jetted bath and separate shower. The jet nozzles on the bath looked a little dirty so I ended up cleaning the bath before using it. The bidet did not work. I also could not get wi-fi access in the hotel. The staff in the exec lounge were absolutely fantastic, very welcoming and friendly. The breakfast staff were lovely too. The hotel is on the edge of the city centre in the financial district, and so well-located for walking to the Kelvingrove (20 mins) and Hunterian (30 mins) galleries. Central Station is about a 10 min walk. I didn’t allow the problems to affect my stay and had a good time overall.

Stayed for two nights on a business trip. Was in the hotel at night and for breakfast. Bed was like sleeping on a plank of wood and the room was very noisy. Room was clean but didn’t feel like the standard upheld by The Mariott in their other hotels. Hot breakfast was nice. Overall a disappointing experience.

Outdated decor throughout. AC does not work in the lobby, restaurant, or rooms. Considering the noise from the motorway and the fact you need to have the windows closed, having a functioning AC in the rooms is a must. We felt let down considering the choice in Glasgow at the same price point.

We had a great stat at the Glasgow Marriott. Newly refurbished rooms looked amazing and clean. Staff were incredibly helpful and friendly. Food in the Cast Iron Grill and Bar was really enjoyable. I'll definitely stay here again as it was so close to Central station and the rest of Glasgow city centre. The best thing though was the free parking as a blue badge holder.

The reception staff was exceptional and even though they had a slight issue with the computer system they dealt with it professionally and kept everyone up to date! Room was fabulous too as was the breakfast! Definitely one of the better Marriott hotels with warm welcoming staff from reception to the restaurant team! Will be coming back again. Thank you!

Staff were very friendly but on facilities and cleanliness felt more like a 3 star. Booked a king bed room and was given a room with 2 double beds instead. No dressing gowns in room and toiletries in the shower hadn’t been refilled. Hairs on shower wall from previous guests. Wouldn't recommend.

The staff are really friendly, kind and keen to advise places to visit and eat. The location is good as easy to get around the city and explore. The hotel itself is pretty tired, the beds were really lumpy, the bathroom, pool area and leisure changing rooms need an overhaul. The in room temperature controls didn’t work and just blew in hot air - not helpful when it was a very hot day/night!

Sadly the gluten free choice was very poor. We opted out of breakfast as the gluten free bread was almost inedible ( dry and tasteless). However the staff could not have been more helpful but please look into your gluten free options. I believe there are many more people being diagnosed with gluten intolerance.

The hotel was lovely, staff were lovely. My only grip was in the bar in the afternoon and ordered a Bombay blue gin, absolute vodka first round when we went to order again they had no, Bombay blue gin or absolute vodka left. Was shocked that a city centre hotel could run out of stock on a Saturday afternoon. Think the bar manager needs to do a stock check more often. Was enjoying my drink then had to go else where for a drink not ideal. Other wise great hotel

Bar was short on a lot of things, the bed was like lying on a concrete slab. Waited over an hour for room service to be charged £7.50 for hienz tomato soup & £17 for a ready meal of chicken tikka. Rude staff. Won’t stay there again. The breakfast was great though.

Hotel is nicely decorated, staff were very friendly, particularly breakfast staff who were cheerful and efficient. Breakfast itself was very nice indeed with a super choice. Bar area was lovely with well priced cocktails. Leisure facilities were lovely to use - all in all a very pleasant relaxed stay
