Beautiful location and amenities. Cons: Swimming pool too shallow to swim and ocean usually too rough. Food mediocre. Reception staff incompetent.

Hotel is great! Pools are great, georgeus town and views! Super relax. Deff not a party town. Not to many food options inside hotel amd pricey breakfast speciallyfor kids, deff get a cab to downtown for other options.

Didn’t want to leave! Best resort I’ve been to in a long time. The views are stunning. The beach is private and very clean and well kept. The entire property shows attention to detail. The gym was excellent. I would have liked mats at the gym but it is very well equipped I was looking for a relaxing holiday and that is exactly what I got. The ONLY negative was you have to call room service to get ice and almost every time requested ice I had to call more than once. I always felt safe at the beach with the lifeguard on everyday. Well done Camino Real Zaashila!

El Hotel tiene una vista espectacular, la habitación que nos toco estaba amplia y limpia; si le hace falta actualizarse. El hotel cuenta con varias albercas que son amplías tipo oasis, se puede nadar muy bien. Cuenta con vista al mar!

The views were beautiful at this resort with all rooms facing the ocean. The resort was very clean with very friendly staff and plenty of areas to relax poolside or on the beach. If you are looking for a quiet, relaxing authentic mexican holiday this is a great resort to stay at.

The hotel was wonderful. The beach is private and beautiful. Service is great. Beautiful architecture. Great location - wonderful restaurants nearby. Great restaurant on-site. Loved lunch out at the beach and near the pool. Pool is gorgeous. The town is lovely and incredibly safe.

¡Atención de 10 y todo muy cómodo! La única observación es el chapoteadero estaba sucio, mi pequeño no logro disfrutarlo. Todo lo demás de maravilla! 👌

The shared facilities are very beautiful, however the individual rooms are very disappointing. The toilets, sinks and curtains are all stained and need urgent remodeling. The food at the hotel is also very expensive and not worth it. The staff are great and the pool and dining areas are gorgeous, but given the condition of the rooms, would never stay here again.

Due to construction, the main pool was only about 3feet deep. Tried to swim and my hands hit the bottom. The plunge pool for the room was VERY dirty. It basically was just a breeding ground for mosquitos. Also no bath mat (for slippery granite floors) for 5 of the 7 days we were the. No wash cloth after the first day. The smell of sewer was so strong sometimes we wanted to put our Covid masks on!! That sewer smell really did seem unhealthy, toxic!

ME GUSTO: La playa está excelente, el servicio en general muy bueno, la comida súper rica, la habitación amplia y en buen estado. NO ME GISTO: La habitación me la entregaron con la alberca MUY sucia y se pudo usar hasta el otro día.

Las sábanas y almohadas olían a humedad, reservé la habitación con alberca y la alberca tenía las escaleras de ingreso y la pared llenísima de heces de ave, es normal, lo entiendo pero parecía que habían estado ahí demasiado tiempo. Es algo incómodo comer en la terraza infestada de heces de pájaro. Además que la alberca no tenía luz adecuada. Sería bueno colocar algún aromatizante ya que la habitación está bajo la escalera y el pasillo de esta huele a humedad y drenaje. Los meseros del servicio del bar nocturno con mala actitud, espere 40 minutos para ser atendida y después de ese tiempo tuve que acercarme yo para que tomaran mi orden.

Todo fue perfecto a excepción de la ropa de cama.Cuando llegué estaba muy percudida y con manchas y pedí el cambio. También la temperatura en la habitación era un poco calurosa.

The property is fine, my bad experience was with the amenities, no clean towels, no coffee, didn't change the sheets, water leak in the shower tub and the cap of the shower tube was broken.

I stayed at this hotel for a week and booked three rooms, the quality of the stay does not reflect the price that was given. The bathroom tiles were broken, lack of hot water, a/c was noisy and not cooling properly, and after a couple of days the pool looked dirty. There is no filtration system in the pool. The price of the rooms should be adjusted to the quality of the hotel, it is not a four star hotel in my opinion. There is still more I could say, but this should suffice.

The beach was beautiful but not swimmable because of rough waves everyday we spend. Also the room is a bit outdated and in need of some work. The bed linen and towels need to be replaced.

No respetaron mis beneficios como socio silver, entregaron la habitación tarde, me dieron una habitación mala por no haber reservado directo con ellos, no me dieron la botella de vino de cortesía, nunca había toallas para la alberca, no me dejaban toallas en la regadera y tampoco el tapete de regadera, tuvieron una boda en el jardín y esa noche no dormí del ruido, la taza de baño tiene sarro eso es horrible!! El frigobar no servía, no enfríaba ni refrescaba, Pensé que por ser el camino real y por pagar lo que pagué sería la mejor experiencia y no fue así, prefiero buscar un air b & b

The good- Camino Real King Club View- private pool right on beach is an experience you will not regret if you choose to stay here. Property is beautifully landscaped on the hill. Taxi into the main areas is only $120 pesos Bar fridge is nice to keep your own drinks from the local convenience store. Staff is kind and does try hard. I think many of the issues are management and out of their control. The not so good- Food and drinks are at least double if not triple of other options. Menu on TV is not updated and only buffet breakfast is an option on site at $35 per person for limited selection Housekeeping is inconsistent and they kept taking the towels. Why?!!!!! It drove us crazy to keep asking for towels when ours were hung up nicely drying. Timing was all over the place as well. In room coffee- two pods on day 1 of a 7 night stay seems odd. We bought our own as charge for more would have been outrageous. Room is dated and in need of repairs. Toilet seat kept coming off, shower faucet was leaking For a $250+ per night stay at a well known hotel chain- we expected more. The view alone is not enough to be able to let us give this place more than a mid review.

Overall enjoyed our stay! Staff was very friendly and accommodating. Food and restaurant service at the resort was a bit pricy compared to some of the local options (Highly recommend Terra Cotta) but overall good. Beautiful beach right behind the resort. Lots of options for massages on property and offsite activities. In town there are lots of options for shopping and restaurants. Area for improvement is the room. While the common areas of the resort were clean, trendy and very pleasing, our room was a bit out of date and our private pool had large areas of tiles missing and required cleaning before we could use it. The staff were quick to remedy this. Great for option for folks looking for a relaxed getaway in Mexico.

Muy amplias habitaciones, la vista al mar espectacular, lo único que no me gustó fue la alberca que tiene muy baja profundidad. Muy amplia y bonito diseño pero poco profundo. Falta variedad en el menú del hotel y mejorar el costo de restaurante. Muy fácil Check in y check out, sin brazalete ni vales de toallas, flexibilidad en horarios

Property beautiful, great pool, and private beach service excellent. Breakfast buffet worth the price. The disapointment was the room inside did not reflect property, it was dated (old curtains), noisy AC with must/humid smell, TV with choppy casting, even hotels promo channel pixeled (I would not expect this from a Camino Real hotel) I would go back for what property offers, that superceeds the room, but room underwhelming

Great hotel, recently renovated, although the rooms need some work too. The main attractions are its facilities close to the beach and the attentive staff that will make you feel at home, will definitely go back.

For the price, it’s not worth it. Yes, it has beautiful grounds and the rooms are lovely, but that’s about it. The service was terrible, which at this price point it should not be. Housekeeping forgot to replace a face cloth in my room. No big deal- I called the front desk to replace it. Hours later, it’s not replaced so I go to the front desk to ask again. They said they would, but it still never got replaced. Pool was out of fresh towels by early afternoon. When you ask guests not to use their room towels at the pool but don’t have pool towels available, it doesn’t work. The bar service at the pool was terrible- it seemed like only those sitting close to the bar got served. Even when I went up to the bar, with 4 workers behind there and not doing much, I still wasn’t paid attention too. I never did end up getting drinks at the pool. Prices in the bar and restaurants are astronomical and unaffordable, but the service was a bit better (but not in the bar- I had to ask for my bill 3 times at the bar and I still had to eventually go up and pay, and it wasn’t busy) I also found it sleazy for such a nice hotel to up charge the price of taxis so much. Call your own taxi and sometimes it’s half the price than if the hotel arranges it for you. Lastly, I paid extra for a deep massage. Even though I told the masseuse I wanted it very hard, and told her during the service to go harder, it was not a great massage and nice again wasn’t worth the money. Sadly, stay was disappointing

The property seemed like a 5-star resort from the outside and had some elements of it but a lot of issues as well. The positive: suite was great overall, the pool was great, service overall was great and staff were super friendly. Nancy especially is a star and she fixed a bunch of issues we had ASAP. However, we had a bunch of problems in our two rooms like the private pool wasn't clean, AC wasn't working so they had to switch rooms and the room service food was terrible. The hot tub also wasn't working. Also, at checkout they asked us to return all the pool towels which makes no sense since they were in the room anyway and room service could have taken them away.

Great property and service. Everyone so helpful and friendly. Special thanks to Nancy, Edgar and Elizabeth at events; Patricia and Jazmin at reception, Luis and Miguel who asisted at the romantic night dinner. Salvador, photography, and many more I did not get their names. Love this property! Came to celebrate 30th anniversary and vows renewal and everyone there made it memorable. We stayed for a week and we’ll be back!

Service horrible, personnel désagréable. Pas de serviettes à la piscine, obligé de réclamer des serviettes de bain pour la chambre tous les jours! Pas de lit bébé alors qu’un a été réservé il y a huit mois, pas de solution proposée. Ne vaut pas ne prix à cause du service.

No tienen servicio a cuarto 24/7 llegamos tarde y sin cenar, tienen poco personal y hace el servicio lento es mi 6ta visita y ni un upgrade recibimos

They did not honor the benefits provided by Expedia. At checkout they told me the discounts would not be applied, and the front desk agent seemed to find it humorous. Additionally, we went for an early morning swim and found that the ground immediately around the pool is just scrubbed into the water. The sinks in our bathroom had damage all around the countertops, and it appeared that maintenance had been done beneath the sink and the large hole in the wall was never patched. The air conditioning was louder than the TV so we had to choose between which one we wanted to use at a time. The ceilings were very high, so if the volume was turned up too high it was impossible to understand the audio due to the echo. Lastly, and the most upsetting, is that we received a notice to our room not to come out between certain hours because they would be relocating a colony of bees, and even went on to say that they did not want to hurt them. We went out any way and they had exterminated the bees, and left their bodies scattered all around our unit. The grounds smelled heavily of chemicals and the bees were swept up a few hours later. The dishonesty will keep me from booking again.

En el check in me dieron una habitacion de menor nivel que la que pagué, me di cuenta cuando entre a la habitacion y no era lo que habia reservado. Tuve que ir a la recepción a reclamar y otra recepcionista se dió cuenta de ello y ya estaba lista mi otra llave. Soy socio oro y pedi el upgrade a la siguiente habitacion sobre la cual habia reservado y me lo negaron con el argumento de que no tenian habitaciones lo cual fue una mentira, por que la ocupacion estaba al 17%. Para que me mandaran mi botella de vino de cortesia, les tuve que pedir tres veces que lo hicieran. El hotel es bueno aunque se ve que ya pasaron sus mejores años, pero si el servicio es así cuando tienen 18% de ocupación, no me imagino como será en temporada alta. Los bellboys MUY BIEN. Alimentos y bebidas BIEN. El resto del servicio, muy MAS o MENOS.

Beach was not safe to go in sea water.

Very nice place. The bathroom was al little dirty otherwise room was perfect. We didn’t like that we couldn’t make the room cooler at night. Facilities beautiful! Breakfast was great! Dinner was ok. Beautiful beach with some waves. Would definitely come back!

Amazing location on gorgeous bay. The whole properly looks stunning. The pool is huge and I was able to do laps on days when the sea was too rough to swim. In hindsight actually the sea was fine if went a bit further out, even when the red flag was out. The lifeguard is great for checking on conditions and leant me his orange float so idiot jetskiers could see me. Rooms are huge, as is the bed, with a lovely balcony overlooking the sea. I didn't use any of the bars or restaurants as they all have music playing and I have an issue with my ears, but I walked a short 5 or 10 minutes to Primos or Montaña Coffee Bar for breakfast, lunch or dinner, especially pleasant in the morning with all butterflies around you. Staff in the boutique and the bell-boys deserve special mention for being incredibly friendly and helpful. Great to have a Starbucks onsite too. Can't recommend this place highly enough.

This property is gated, and if you want that kind of experience it will work very well for you. We found that it was pretty isolated, that with the exception of a few small restaurants and stores, not walkable at all. Be prepared for a pretty steep walk to get to the street ground level if you are walking anywhere. We are in our seventies, and we could do it. The staff was helpful, the grounds were immaculate, and beautifully landscaped. We had a wonderview from our balcony (we had an ocean view room). There might have been almost more staff than lodgers at this hotel. The pool is only waist high. The ocean is very swimmable, hardly any waves. There are plentiful chairs and shade at the pool and the beach. The cafe opens around 11 in the morning, so that means if you don't want breakfast at the hotel, you have a 7 minute walk to go find a nearby restaurant/cafe.

El mar no es lo óptimo en esta playa del hotel, el oleaje es muy fuerte, la próxima vez prefiero una playa con el mar más tranquilo para poder disfrutarlo

El personal muy amable, pero la habitación ya necesita cambio de mobiliario y mantenimiento, la terraza los dos días que estuvimos no la barrieron estaba muy sucia. La comida también le falta variedad y sabor, muy cara en relación a la calidad y precio.

Pros:Excellent Pool. Cons: Food fair and expensive. No Happy Hour. Had 2 days without warm/hot water, finally fixed.

Las instalaciones de albercas, area de playa, restaurantes están muy bien y bonitas. Las habitaciones necesitan mantenimiento, en general se ven viejas; los muebles del balcón estaban oxidados e inutilizables, no teniamos frigobar, las cortinas desgastadas y el aire acondicionado algo ruidoso. El baño ok. Los costos del restaurante que abren por las mañanas es muy elevado y solo hay 3 opciones. Faltan opciones vegetarianas en los restaurantes en general.

La comida de los 2 restaurantes estaba muy fea y el precio muy alto. De los 10 dias que estuvimos en el hotel solo comimos dos veces ahi. Los otros dias buscamos opciones por fuera por que la comida no nos gustó en lo absoluto.

El hotel es muy bonito, con una playa privada y alberca bastante grande para la familia! Nos toco una habitación de minusválidos y la regadera no tenia cortina ni nada entonces si se riega mucha agua por todos lados, a las habitaciones les hace falta un poco de mantenimiento. El desayuno terrible, hay 1 solo chef que te hace todo, la fila es gigante y aparte un poco grosera la señorita! Lo que hay de buffet descubrimos es el recalentado de la cena…

Camino Real was a great property and if the food wasn’t so expensive this would be an easy to repeat location. Breakfast Buffet was $490 P, per person and there were other options. But still a little pricey. Lunch at the pool grill was good and affordable and We just ended up eating outside the hotel for dinner. The pool and beach are wonderful and the resort is very quiet. We felt bad for the restaurant staff as many guests were eating out at nearby restaurants mainly due to pricing. Would have preferred to stay and eat in a few nights at least. Nice resort.

The location, proximity to the beach, pool and grounds were great. Prices in dinning areas and at the bar were far too high. Felt sorry for the waiting staff as few people were willing to pay the high prices.

Food was below average. Breakfast was OK but lunches and dinners were not good.

El lugar es increíble y el servicio del personal inigualable. Los alimentos podrían estar mucho mejor, sobre todo en la comida y la cena. La carta es limitada y algo costosa. Ojalá puedan hacer algo al respecto. Porque sería maravilloso hotel!
