The hotel is very well located right by the station and in the centre of town. I arrived early and was charged £1 to store an item of luggage, the first time in my extensive travels that this has ever happened. When I returned and checked in, I was given a room key, but when I got there, the room clearly wasn't ready. This was quickly remedied. On my 2nd night there the lift would not ascend without me having to get assistance from the receptionist, who said he would report the problem. On the morning I left, there was no hot water in my room. As I was in a hurry to catch my train, I could only report this to reception on my way out.

Tryed to check in at one O'clock thet wanted £10 for early check-in. I didn't check-in till 2pm. Ask if i could leave my bag there till check-in time they said it would be a £1.i didn't check-in or leave my bag. I have stated in 100s of hotels and have never been ask for a early check-in fee. If hotels had rooom ready they would give it to you. The same with storage of bag never ask to pay for it. Room 807 was not the best see photos definitely could do with a upgrade. Won't be back and i visit Leeds a lot. I don't know how many stars this hotel has but i would describe it as a one star hotel

The room stunk full of mould. Windows didnt open at all. Black mould around the windows. The place felt like a safety hazard. Extremely hard to find your way around. Lifts only go so far up. The stairs were blocked off by a door. So if a fire happened you're trapped. The only positive was the staff were all super friendly and helpful. But the building itself is in serious need of renovation. Speaking of which they had workmen inside the hotel using drills at 7am. Absolutely ridiculous when trying to sleep in a little longer. Not that the room was breathable with mould. That made me throw up. I stayed out as late as possible to avoid being in the room too long. Wouldn't stay there again though the location wasnt too bad.

Hello. I have picked "unsafe" not in terms of structure of the hotel itself, but where I was placed in the hotel as a solo female traveller. I was told that I was in the furthest room in the building (1010). This meant getting 2 lits and walking an entire floor between the lifts. I did feel that my personal safety was compromised in the "journey" (it took about 7-10 mins to get to my room. I would ask the hotel staff to consider the demographics of the guest when allocating rooms. I was "sold" the rationale for my placement as "it would be nice and quiet as there were other "rowdy" guests in the hotel". I was booked at the hotel to go to two music gigs in Millenium Square, so could in fact have been one of those "rowdies"! Therefore please do not make assumptions for guests' visit, based on age and gender. However the hotel did orovide me with somewhere to stay for 2 nights, and I felt safe once inside the room (1010 - physically the furthest riom in the hotel . I also found the price of £170 for 2 nights overpriced in terms of the type of room (single bed and quite "dated"). Pros: v central location, minutes from station, nice staff, v clean linen, ok price, plenty of tea and coffee Cons: rusty fixtures, smelt odd, dirty shower (plug hole full of hairs), some dusty surfaces. A bit noisy but there are works opposite and extractor fans.Room needs a repaint, new fixtures and deep clean and it'd be great! Whoever made this 10/10 needs to go to spec savers. Paid £65 for pn for a double room.

The room wasn't properly cleaned and had stained, ripped carpets. The bathroom was equally filthy with a poor quality shower. The walls are paper thin and I had difficulty sleeping from the noises in adjacent rooms and the corridor at all hours of the night. In the evening following check in, a naked man only covered with a towel entered the reception area claiming he had a room there and I felt generally unsafe through my stay. Would never revisit or recommend.

Only issues that could e improved upon is the heating, our radiators were off, yet we had to sleep without duvet as too warm in room & if you open windows it’s noisy as directly opposite station. Also breakfast had those tasteless processed packet croissants that are stodgy and tasteless.

Weather hot and humid, room airless, fan available from reception but room window opened into building well where multiple extractor fans belted out hot air from surrounding buildings. Occasional high noise levels from live/recorded music and aircraft. Corridor busy night and day with arrivals, departures, and party makers. Bathroom extractor fan pathetic, mould growth obvious. Toilet seat unstable. Sheets and towels beautifully clean. Staff helpful and friendly. Price very reasonable. Would stay again, hopefully in another room.

This place is awesome. However, you really do get what you pay for. The space is relatively clean, the bed is comfortable. The location is fabulous. Very close to the train station and close to anything central Leeds.However, the walls are thin. And if you’re on one of the lower floors, you could hear outside quite clearly. Overall, I would recommend.

Very noisy. I think a pub/ bar closes on the early hours. Bottles being tipped at 3/4am. Barrels being loaded / unloaded. Then a pneumatic drill started at 8.30am from the work across the road. Small very basic room. Shower head didn’t work. When turned to full flow only a dribble came out. Had to have it on blast / massage option. Only 1 decaf coffee sachet this morning and no sweetener. Ok for the money, but expect a sleepless night.

Basic hotel, 3 mins from the station and right in the middle of the city. You get what you paid for. Fine for a night or 2. Some bathrooms are TINY so make sure you stipulate on check in you want a decent sized bathroom rooms 234 and 236 are ok!!

I have stayed at this hotel many times without problem and always been very happy with it. This time i had problems with the shower that could not be fixed. It started on Tuesday when i ran the cold water tap which ran as hot as the hot tap for several minutes before going cold. I took a shower which ran hot for about 30 seconds before going luke warm - tepid. I could not see anyone in reception needing to go out and hoped it would be ok next day. Wednesday again the cold ran hot at first and the shower went luke warm almost at once i reported the issue and was told maintenance would look at it. Thursday the cold water was ok but still shower lost temperature almost at once. I did not report it hoping it would be fixed during that day. Friday once again the shower lost temperature soon after running and i reported it . Saturday was time to check out and the shower was still the same. I was not impressed with 5 luke warm showers.

Stayed at this hotel several times. You pay for the location, not for the standard of the rooms. This time, several things went wrong: no heating, no cold water; however, the staff was extremely service-minded and solution-oriented. The problems were fixed quite fast. I will return.

Excellent location opposite station and close to shops and restaurants. The staff were friendly and helpful, check-in was quick and receptionist offered us a city map. The room was clean and a reasonable size.

Downside is it is right next to long term roadworks so if you are a light sleeper will defo wake you up early when work resumes each day. The hotel was ok, nothing outstanding but a decent base to explore leeds centre or use the train connections across the road. I would stay again but avoid the continental breakfast which was a bit pants even for a continental breakfast.

Much better than expected, whether or not that is a backhanded compliment or not I am not sure! Quiet, great facilities and a smart bathroom, breakfast was worth adding on as well with lots of options including a very European style salami and cheese

The on duty saff went above and beyond to make our stay great however the brealfst was not what was expected no option 1 meat 1 cheese and slices of bread. Poor for the price.

Excellent considering what I got by paying a rate lower than the hotel accommodation nearby. Spacious room, clean and tidy. But tap water keeps running hot even switching to cold water side, which is weird. Need to pay extra for breakfast, but just £5, a simple choice of food which is more than I expected. Good location, but a bit noisy late evening and early morning, because of pubs and train station nearby.

Second time I've used this hotel, and it was great. Clean and pleasant, decent continental-style breakfast. All that was needed. If there's one grouse - it's the "dynamic pricing" which all hotels seem to be using. On one occasion I was going to book Discovery, but it was more expensive than the nearby Travelodge. Silly.

The hotel was lovely and in a great position The staff were friendly and nothing was to much for them I felt that my bed was uncomfortable it my friends were very happy with their beds There was plenty of choice at breakfast The doors were locked by 10pm and you needed to ring the bell when entering after that If I was going back to Leeds I would definitely stay here again The Hotel needs an ashtray outside as there was nowhere to put cigarettes buts

It's always a mixed bag. I was greeted by the friendly person on my first stay who remembered me from previous trips - always a nice thing when that happens. The woman on reception who checked me in told me she didn't like youching other peoples debit cards which I felt was a bit odd. The sheets etc had been washed but they had stains on them.

Ideal location straight across from Leeds Railway station. Good, straight forward accommodation close to bars and short walk to Leeds shopping and restaurants. Ideal for somewhere, very reasonably priced, to get your head down after a day out. Will definitely use again.
