What should have been a romantic night away with my husband turned into a girlie night with my 8 year old daughter! (due to husbands sickness) She and I loved our stay, it was the "poshest" place she\'s ever stayed :)

For £125 a night, I expected a lot more! No fridge, bathrobe or coffee machine in the room and the furniture and room itself had very visible signs of wear and tear. The bed was comfortable and the hotel is very conveniently located, but for this price there are much better options in Manchester.

Checkin wasn’t great, went for a meal to find out they have closed the restaurant in the evening, this was after requesting a table for 1 and the person then mumbling “sit where you want” I sat for probably 5mins and then after me trying to get the attention of the waitress was asked if I want something. Breakfast - pretty much the same, staff pleasant enough but all look completely terrified. I have just got a flat white and it looks like a cup of white milk which to be fair it was. Totally tasteless (photo attached) Building is stunning!!, room is clean & Restaurant has been kitted out well but staffing is poor. A brand like this need to invest in their recruitment and training as it was amateur hour. Not impressed at all

I have stayed at Abode Manchester on a number of occasions. Always welcoming, staff friendly and helpful. Location excellent on Piccadilly and rooms comfortable, especially beds. Last stay a little disappointing, room was smaller than usual and not so inviting as I'd come to expect. Disappointed that the Brasserie was still not open and encountered that in December when meal had actually been booked and not told until 5pm arrival it was closed! Having said that I appreciate the staffing difficulties and there is a huge choice of eating places within walking minutes of the hotel Bathrooms excellent with large showers and always very clean. Televisions rather small for size of rooms and seem a long way away. Overall I thoroughly recommend this Hotel and will return again when in Manchester,
