Courtyard par Marriott Montréal Centre-ville

Check in was fast and easy. They have garage parking it’s well worth the fee. Centrally located. A market is a few blocks down and china town is close by as well. Room was spotless, fantastic pool and gym.

Room was clean, staff were friendly, great pool and hot tub! Would recommend this hotel.

if you own an electric car this is not the hotel for you , they have a policy where you get charged 10 4 on top of the parking rate of 36$ and you get charged every time you plug in , so when we got there there was a cybertuck that was left there for 48 hours so we could not charge and when we finally we were able to charge and had to use the car to run an errands as soon as we plugged back we had to go to the front desk and and (activate) and get charged 10$ again the front desk just said this is our policy I think Marriott should have a better system where a third party can manage it if they cant

Clean, quiet hotel within a walkable distance to shopping and dining. Onsite underground parking only accessible by hotel guests is great as Montreal is known for high rates of car theft. Little tight if you’re driving a truck or large SUV though!! Stayed here in May to move my daughter out of her dorm at McGill and it was tough getting our truck in and out of garage - only a few spots on level 1 can accommodate a large vehicle over 6 feet in height. Had my car this time though and it was easy peasy. Great coffee bar in lobby.

Right in downtown Montreal, walking distance from anywhere.... Wish they has more that 2 plugs for EVs

Overall a good stay, not good to stay there if you have an EV. The way they set it up is you pay $10 to initiate the charge but then there is nothing to have you move your car when it’s full so the same cars sat there from check-in to check-out. Room was clean, staff were nice.

11th floor Gym and Pool with an awesome view

Overall our stay was very good. However, as we have seen in other hotels at times, it seemed as though perhaps the carpets in the rooms hadn't been vacuumed. On the carpet in front of the chair in the corner of the room, we saw skin that had been peeled off someone's foot.

The stay was overall excellent. Pros: 1) Room was very comfortable. I slept like a baby. Very quiet as well; there was a young family nearby, but once the door to my room closed, I couldn't hear a peep. 2) Service was excellent, with very friendly staff. 3) Hotel itself was very well-maintained. 4) The room was generally clean (see Con #1), and both the bed and the bathroom were spotless. Cons: 1) The "living" portion of the room hadn't been vacuumed and still had visible debris (what looked like shredded paper or something). * That said, when I mentioned it at the front desk (in passing while replacing my room key, because it wasn't a big enough issue to mention otherwise), they immediately offered to send someone up to clean it. 2) Several of the plugs didn't work because the sockets themselves were too loose; anything plugged in would just fall out. I ultimately found the one that did work and used that for all my charging. 3) Be warned that the shower is very slippery. On my last night, I managed to slip, dislocate my kneecap, and smack into the wall, injuring myself in the process. I'll heal in a week, I'm sure, but heads up for anyone with mobility issues that the standing shower isn't necessarily the safest. (An extra handle along the length of the shower, or a textured floor, would be a welcome addition.) 4) In hindsight, I wasn't asked for my Marriott Bonvoy membership. Oh well. All in all, an excellent stay. Will certainly consider staying here again!

The room upon move in was not ready for my stay in terms of cleanness. i’m Would not recommend. There are two hotels down the street which seem to be really great and more renovated.

Room is clean and spacious. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Bed is comfortable. Location is unbeatable, walking distance to old port and close to everything. Only downside is the noise from the street as our room is in the street side, but less noise in bedtime. Overall a great stay. Will come back for sure.

Best part of this hotel is its location - right in the centre of Montreal Jazz festival on St.Catherines and Old Montreal. The room layout was not the best - they squeezed a King bed into a tiny room so TV layout was awkward. Overall, if you're looking to balance the shopping on St.Catherines with walks to Old Montreal, this hotel is perfectly located.

Can hear street noise if at lower floor.

The only thing keeping me from giving a 5-star rating is the overly complicated process of connecting to the hotel’s free Wi-Fi, which requires creating an account.

Overall stay was pleasant and relaxing but the bedsheets could have been replaced about (3) three years ago! Woke up on plain mattress! All three mornings! Minor issue in the grand scheme of it all! Again decent stay!

Great rooms and easy checkin

Room clean but dark and dated and a couple of prints with color would help..did not appreciate no amenities in bathroom including no cups or basics including q tips, lotion, shower cap etc which take away from old barhroom sterility Coffee with ?paper cups? and no milk or cream

The room was on a low floor without a view. Bed felt smaller than king. Placement of TV was odd. TV remote was not working.

Great location! Great spacious rooms

The room was clean. We had a problem with the front desk staff and manager. They gave us a hard time because my Expedia confirmation had my married last name but the ID I have has my maiden name. Every other ID has my married last name. Apparently Montreal states that both need to match. That’s fine, but if I provide a confirmation number and I show you my Visa with the matching last name and they have taken my money in advance, why are you not allowing me to check in. Then you don’t provide a solution until I ask you what can I do. It was an aggravating situation at 10:30 at night after travelling for 7 hours by car.

Normally I just need to give my credit card and ID - this time they were asking address and a few other things which led to getting upstairs after a long day a bit longer than I would have liked. I forgot my charger and front desk didnt have a spare - obviously my fault, but for this price, I expect a bit higher quality of service instead of being told to go find one at a 24/7 convenience store. Breakfast was overpriced and subpar (36 dollars with tip for two eggs/ toast / potatoes / sausage) - checked in due to proximity to gare central. Was helpful for this and checkout clerk was very helpful and efficient. Very nice view and unit was spacious. Very clean.

★☆☆☆☆ Disappointing Experience – Ruined My Son’s Birthday I booked a room at the Courtyard by Marriott in downtown Montreal through Expedia as a birthday gift for my 18-year-old son. The room was fully paid in advance, and the plan was for him to enjoy the hotel’s amenities pool, spa, gym,after work while I was at a sports tournament. He had even asked his boss to leave work early to enjoy the hotel. Unfortunately, what should have been a relaxing and memorable evening turned into a frustrating and disappointing experience. Despite arriving at the hotel at 4pm, my son was denied check-in because he didn’t have a credit card. He explained that the room was prepaid and that I would arrive later to handle any additional charges, but the staff refused to accommodate him. He ended up waiting in the lobby for three hours until I had finished my tournament and saw his calls. When I called the hotel, clearly upset, they still wouldn’t budge until I spoke with a supervisor. Only then did they send me an online form to enter my credit card details. They claimed it was “hotel policy” to require a credit card at check-in, even for prepaid bookings, but this was never mentioned in my Expedia confirmation or booking details. This lack of flexibility and poor communication ruined what was supposed to be a special night. I expected better from a Marriott property.

Great staff

I lived in a room on the second floor, right next to heavy traffic. It was noisy 24-7. I couldn't sleep. The hotel staff was unfriendly and unhelpful, who insisted there was nothing they can do.

The check in staff was amazing!

Everything was very good with the exception of the person that checked me in - poor customer service, barely looked at me and just gave me my room key and looked back down

We had a fantastic stay at the Courtyard by Marriott Montreal Downtown. The staff were extremely friendly, helpful, and attentive, making us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. The hotel is in a great location, close to shops, restaurants, and attractions, which made exploring the city very convenient. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and well-appointed, and the overall atmosphere was pleasant and relaxing. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Montreal.

The property and location is very good and walkable distance from downtown. The bad side is the service. The hotel is very understaffed and no service is on time. We stayed there for one night and were given room 2 hrs after checkin time ie. At 5pm . We came to montreal for one day and had limited time to explore yet our time was wasted here . The room doesn’t have basic amenities like water and toothpaste. They dont pick up phone when called from room. You will get good room and bed to sleep on , but other than that dont expect anything else even with the price tag like that. Not expected from such popular and big hotel chain like that. No hospitality.

Check in was a DISASTER, with massive lines forming because they would not check anyone in a minute before 3pm. Room was nice and very clean. One perpetually rude man at the front desk just sort of ruined our experience of interacting with employees. The location is pretty good—close to shopping and about fifteen minutes from the heat of the old city.

Close to Everything downtown

Great central location. Clean and well kept. One thing missing was a concierge to help with guests visiting the city. Asked hotel staff for help on points of interest and getting there. They did their best but not very knowledgeable.

It is located a short walk from the train station. There are a lot of dining options within 15-mi walk. The room is clean and big. The staff are very friendly.

Convenient location to major attractions like Notre-Dame Basilica and also to experience the Montreal nightlife.

Courtyard Marriott is located at a very convenient place; most attractions are within walking distance.

Beautifully lobby,.and easy check in. Parking is underground and very convenient. With taxes, it is around $40.per day with in and out privileges. Hotel is in a great location- restaurants, shops, Old Montreal,.Old.Port. Room was clean and very spacious. Will not hesitate to stay again. Highly recommended.

The hotel was very nice and clean. Pool was nice and sauna was amazing. We ate at the restaurant in the hotel, was pricey and food was not good.

Drink options were very diverse. Food at the Darlington was below par. Presentation was lovely, however very little flavor in all of dishes. We were a group of 4. We loved the hotel & the staff were very helpful. I give the hotel "A+"

Great Bar Staff. Good food and nice clean hotel

Pros: Comfortable rooms in a central location. Walking distance to restaurants. Onsite snack pantry. Bottled water in room for coffee maker. Onsite restaurant. Cons: Coffee but no tea. Not everyone likes coffee. Onsite restaurant closes early so no late night eats.

Pretty central to most things. It is a bit of a walk to the waterfront but we did it multiple times as driving isn’t so much fun in Montreal. Subway is easy to navigate and use. Restaurant at hotel was so so and we only ate there the first night. Pool was okay.
