Loved the decor and numerous sustainability initiatives. Very friendly staff and comfortable beds. Central location. Only negative was the need to pay for expensive valet parking. Would definitely stay here again.

We had a wonderful stay at Le Germain. My only small complaint would be that their restaurant/bar is completely closed on Mondays in the midst of peak tourist season which seems odd but was more of a minor inconvenience.

Great stay overall, although a little let down by the fact new towels were provided 3 days in a row even though I had placed the used ones on the one (and only) hook in the bathroom to signify my intent to keep using them. Loved the convenient access to a water bottle filler by the elevators on each floor. Appreciated the option to grab one of the free green apples placed as décor by the elevators.

If you’re looking for a clean, friendly, well-located, Canadian-owned hotel… you won’t go wrong with le Germain. The Boulevardier restaurant on the second floor was quite good too.

Concernant le stationnement, je n'aime pas les services de valets, mais je dois dire que les valets du Germain sont très très sympathiques et attentionnés. *** Notes aux visiteurs *** En arrivant près de l'hôtel, ralentissez dans la voie de gauche, l'hôtel est difficile à voir visuellement durant la conduite. Stationnez vous devant l'hôtel sur l'accotement de gauche et le valet prendra soin de votre véhicule. 45$ bien investi.

We were staying for 4 days. When we first arrived we were assigned a room on the 16 floor. After day 2 the hum of vibration became intolerable. When I inquired the staff immediately assigned us another room on a different floor which was great. We were told the vibration was from equipment on the 17th floor. This did make me question why we were given the 16th floor originally.

Disappointing room for the price. For $350, the classic queen is a small room without a self-enclosed bathroom. The glass encased shower has no privacy from the bed. The toilet was in its own tiny closet but it had a weird musky smell that made me wonder how clean that toilet room was. The shower would drip water randomly and woke me up in the middle of the night, and since it was just right there in the room, it wasn’t like I could close the door of the bathroom to shut out the noise. I wouldn’t stay here again.

I really enjoyed my stay here for the first time. The welcome reception was very kind, courteous and friendly and helped me to swiftly receive my room. Coming off of another business trip where I got zero sleep, the associate at the front desk helped me get a room on a high floor with zero traffic noise. The rooms were well appointed, modern and very spacious. I appreciated the water station near the elevators. The mattress was amazing and linens FRESH. Everything was super clean! I loved it. The restaurant was also a favourite of mine for breakfast and lunch. Quality food and just well made. Overall it was a great stay and felt like a refuge after a long work day. I have already booked another stay. Bravo to the team at Le Germain for taking care of your guests.

We had high hopes for Hotel Le Germain, but our stay was far from pleasant. Upon arriving in our room on the 18th floor, we were met with a constant, droning noise that caused persistent headaches. It turns out the 17th floor directly below is the mechanical room, likely the source of the disruptive sound. Unfortunately, the hotel staff didn’t warn us about this when assigning our room. To make matters worse, the "mini bar" in the room, which appeared to be a fridge, was not refrigerated. This was a significant issue as my wife’s medication requires cold storage, and we had to rely on ice from another floor (which was unplugged and not working at the time.). Having stayed at the hotel William Gray earlier in the week, which was a far superior experience for just a slightly higher cost, I wouldn’t recommend Hotel Le Germain. If you must stay here, absolutely request a room away from the 18th floor.

Called in advance to let them know I was in Montreal to surprise my husband for 20th anniversary. Girl said they would provide room upgrade or what they do for special occasions. Upon arrival, no acknowledgement of anything. It’s basically kids working there. In the evening we asked for something at front desk and girl said oh I talked to you about your anniversary. Did you get the card or room upgrade. I said neither. Anyhow, room was decent so we were happy. Last night we called to ask concierge for dessert ideas. There is no concierge. The girl recommended Ben and Jerry’s or Uncle Tetsu! This is commercial I told her and wanted something from Montreal for which she had no idea. Severely disappointing. Then called front desk for room service for dessert since torrential downpour at 10:01pm and kitchen closed. Asked for chocolate or anything and no luck. Definitely a downer considering guy I met in hallway working there said they are boutique hotel and there to make our stay memorable. Far from and don’t want to remember as service not existent.

The housekeeping threw out one of my shopping bags, and when I called the front desk to be able to have it located, they sent someone to the garbage and pulled my bag out and gave it back to me full of somebody else’s garbage on top of all of my things

Another delightful experience. This was my second time staying at the Le Germain and it was another wonderful time. Was there for work and returned to a nice quiet hotel room each night. Bed was comfortable and staff were super friendly! Will stay here each time I in Montreal.

Prime location just steps from Rue St. Catherine in the heart of downtown - shopping, restaurants, museums, Place des Arts etc. The Guest Service is top notch and the Le Germain bed/beddings are the sweetest of dreams.

I still need to speak to hotels.com about the misleading information about the room being for three people without an extra bed needing to be brought into the room. However the hotel was excellent. Classy and clean and the room was structured with vintage and modern design. Very artistic. Great location as well, 6 min walking to the underground city and Canada goose and st Catherine street with unlimited stores. Enjoy!!

Le Germain in Montreal is a nice quiet boutique hotel with lovely, spacious rooms and comfortable beds. The shower system was slightly tricky to figure out. The front desk area needs to be expanded in size and to include more people who can either check people in or attend to questions. There were generally two people there and they were constantly busy. Check in took a while. The restaurant was just “ok” for breakfast. I was hoping for something more creative. I didn’t find a lot of places within walking distance of there to eat so I’m not sure how “walkable “ this hotel is. But overall Le Germain was a nice place to stay.
