This hotel is in a fantastic location! Walk to everything and so convenient being connected to the shopping centre. Staff were incredibly helpful. Only downside I can think of was that the pool has limited hours. It didn’t open until 3 pm.

Pros: location, staff, hot cookies, comfortable bed, view. Cons: room(Bathroom ceiling peeling and cracked) parking($12 weekdays, $17 weekends flat rate EVERY TIME you leave the parking garage) and on Saturday night there was a hockey game and ended up the parking garage was full and there is absolutely no street parking near the hotel.

Self-parking here is a nightmare as they share parking with the mall, so we ended up having to park on P3, and staff din’t inform that the elevator from P3 doesn’t take you the reception, and it’s not easy to figure out how to switch “3” elevators to get to the reception. End up getting out in the mall, tried 4 different elevators spread across the mall before finding the one that took us to the reception 30 mins later. Then the line up at the reception was too long with only 2 counters. Then we find that they have the earliest closing hours for the pool at 9 pm? Finally, 1 hour later we make it to our room, only to realize the city view room we paid for is on a lower floor and has two large windows - one with a clear view of the alley full of garbage and second faced the under construction museum. Why offer city view room at a surcharge when you know the view is going to poor and on a low floor? So we changed to a room “without city view”, no refund was offered obviously. We then rush to the pool and get there at 8:10 pm, and find the area full of chaos - people diving into pool over other people, muddy/slippery floor and NO towels. When we asked we were told that they are about to close, but if we really wanted we could go ask at the reception and someone maybe able to bring more towels. Next morning we experienced a sad breakfast with long waiting line, very few options, invisible servers, and only one working but dirty high chair that we had to wait 15 mins for.

Lovely hotel right above a mall. Many dining options inside and directly outside of the hotel. The staff are very friendly and accommodating. The elevator was always very busy as it appears to be a popular hotel, so it was a long wait down to the pool and back. Also, even with valet parking, cars are not safe from vandals. Valet left the doors of our vehicle unlocked so it was broken into and the vandals broke our glovebox. We don’t leave valuables so nothing we stolen, but we ended up with a costly repair. The valet is not part of the hotel, but it would be nice if there was a warning posted somewhere about vandals. We stayed during winter break and would love to return again in the warmer months to really enjoy the city.

Our stay at the hotel was overall enjoyable, but we did notice a few areas for improvement. After the first day, the quality of housekeeping seemed to decline. Specifically, the carpet was not being vacuumed or cleaned thoroughly, which impacted the overall cleanliness of the room. We chose this hotel based on the photos from the website and were travelling with kids. The rooms were not fully cleaned when we entered. We noticed things like the remote control had stains on it, furniture being damaged and looking dated and a shower that was clogged and had hair. We called for room service to order food but did not get a response. The area surrounding the hotel was also very noisy. Overall, there are better hotels for the price.

Rooms are very basic. Tables and desks etc are worn out. No real AC in the room, just a fan that could be adjusted. Hard to get it cool enough. Clean and quiet, good location. Breakfast is over 40$. If I'm paying about 400$ a night for a basic room that should be included. Value for the money really isn't there.

We arrived a bit early for check-in; more than an hour. Through a bit of miscommunication, we thought we were okayed to check-in, only to find out there was going to be a hefty added fee for doing so. It was quickly cleared up and we waited until closer to/after 4PM. Overall, we appreciated our room accommodations. Points of concern: barn door at bathroom = prefer a standard hinged door for the bathroom; bathroom lighting = need to have a brighter light option at the sink area; fridge/microwave/coffee area = needs to be located in a more accessible area of the room, rather than along a wall by a bed, in the corner. The beds, hot/cold water, air, view, noise level, storage, were all good. Thank you.

L’accueil fut très long, car il nous a fallu 35 minutes pour être pris en charge. Puis nous avons eu plusieurs fois des problèmes de clés de chambre qui ne fonctionnait plus. Nous avons dû faire 4 aller-retour à l’accueil pour qu’ils decident d’envoyer une personne de l’entretien et encore une heure de perdue. C’est un bel hôtel, mais mal géré.

We had a wonderful stay. Great hotel and great location. Check-in was extremely busy due to a particularly large group checking in and we were briefly concerned that check-in would be slow…HOWEVER, the staff handled it brilliantly and even upgraded our room as an apology (they upgraded us to a presidential suite, which more than exceeded our expectations and we couldn’t have been happier). We would in particular like to thank Joshua for such incredible customer service at check-in - the surprise upgrade made our whole trip to Montreal even more special.

The cleaning staff are on strike so there was no toiletries or room cleaning services for the trip. We called the front desk several times on our way to the hotel over a couple hour period and the phone rang for over 10 minutes until it would finally disconnect. The two times they actually answered, we were put on hold for over 15 minutes, for which no one ever returned and the line eventually disconnected. While in the hotel, we tried calling reception from the room phone and it rang for over 10 minutes until it disconnected. Unbelievable service for the price. Staff on strike, still full price. Plus, the customer service we did receive was not helpful and we were forced to wait for unacceptable periods. We will not be returning to Double Tree again. Many more options which would have better service for this price. Incredibly disappointing, we will be telling friends and family to avoid this chain.

I was presented with a surprise charge at check-in. I booked a room for three people that included a king bed, and a sofa bed. When I arrive to check in, I was told that I did not book a room for a sofa bed, even though I had booked a room for three people. The person at Doubletree said that it was the fault of hotels.com. Please figure it out folks.

The staff was excellent from the moment I arrived. Very charming and helpful. The room was very nice, with floor to ceiling windows. The restaurants were also great, even though the eggs in the breakfast buffet were quite watery. The indoor pool was very nice and clean too. The hotel is close to everything - it only took me a 20 minute stroll to get to Old Montreal or to Mount Royal Park, so I never even called a cab or had to use the metro.

Location! Location! Loaction! The hotel is literally located right in the pedestrian street in Place des Art! Connected to the Mall and surrounded by various restaurants from inexpensive fast food restaurants in the food court to fancy restaurant! Old Montreal , China Town Old Port are all within a short walking distance! The hotel is sort of old and shows it age but the room, beds, bathroom are very clean! Some peeled paint on the batroom ceiling.

Hotel is located in excellent location across from Palace de Arts - lots of events. Also connected to large mall, metro and underground city. Staff was super friendly and breakfast buffet had a blend of American and European breakfast. Delicious!

This is a great location and nice property. Overall a nice experience. Our room was fine but we had a horrible noise from the heater or A/C unit mostly heard through the evening . Also I was placed in a room near the elevator so it was somewhat noisy hearing the elevator and at times the guests. Great food and nice cocktails in the lounge. Shopping mall had delicious food as well.

Great hotel for families. Attached to the mall and had great pool for the kiddos. Nice restaurant and bar as well. Very clean, updated rooms. Valet parking was great and car was safe in covered garage. Easy walk to Old Montreal. Only complaint is that the pool doesn't open until 2PM on weekdays. Would definitely stay here again.

My original room was beside a group of young guests who were extremely loud, shouting and making a lot of noise. I was there to relax, but there was no way I would have been able to enjoy my stay with that level of noise. I complained to the front desk, and after some back and forth, they were eventually able to move me to a different room on another floor. The room had two queen beds instead of the king bed I originally booked, but at least the new room was quiet and peaceful, which I appreciated. My main suggestion to the hotel is to be more proactive in situations like this. Security should be making regular hallway checks, especially when there are groups of young guests being excessively loud. A little more attention from the staff could prevent guests from having to complain in the first place. Overall, I appreciate that they eventually resolved the issue, but the situation could have been handled much sooner and more proactively.

Front desk staff seemed a bit overwhelmed on a busy weekend, not as outgoing and friendly/helpful as in prior visits. Cleaning team were very friendly and helpful. We'd been looking forward to using the pool after a long day of walking, but found it quite cool. Great location!
