Very friendly and efficient staff...Restaurant food and bar excellent. Overlooked the river and only five minute walk to Windsor Castle entrance. Next to bridge to get to Eton High Street and colleges. Only two minutes walk to Railway station. Unless they have special arrangement for very elderly or disabled eg wheelchair access we did not see a lift although they appear to have an annexe over the road. Very good for visit toWindsor

The hotel has rooms over three locations, all of which are in close proximity but not something we were aware of. That said, the standard was good, and the bar area / brasserie was clean, fresh, friendly and great views overlooking the river.

Our second stay at this lovely hotel, very helpful friendly staff, our first stay was in the annex part of the hotel which had a lift , current stay was in the original building which had no lift but the reception staff were excellent in assisting with our luggage. Good breakfast choice, staff also very friendly. Room very comfortable and very well maintained. Our favourite is the terrace.

A beautiful old hotel on the river right by the castle. Everything was great but be aware, there are no elevators and quite a lot of stairs and corridors if you stay in the main building.

I was actually unable to visit this Hotel due to illness, however I did find a number of problems which were made difficult. The Hotel details indicate Parking. It is in a Pedestrian Zone to which cars are not allowed. The Parking arrangements are made at the Railway station, a 10 mins walk from the Hotel, assuming you are fit and healthy. For those with Blue Badge I later found that Blue Badge Parking is available at the same Railway station. But when I eventually got to ask about them they were fully booked. Requests for assistance are invariably "Have a Look on our Web Site" I further believe that there are no Lifts. All these points are worthy of publication and are not personal but informative for any future customers.

The hotel was dated. Our towels had holes in them, the shower head was so blocked up it only came out of a few holes. Neither of the bedside lamps worked. Overall not a great stay. Very disappointed

I splurged on this hotel gor my final three nights of a month long trip. This was the worst hotel I stayed at in the month.It was not as expected and I was left highly disappointed. I do not think the sheets had been changed from previous guest. The decorative pillows and shoe guard were full of hair and so were the area between the sheets. I reported to the front desk but was told sheets could not be changed until the next day meaning I had to sleep in dirty sheets. I had issues with housekeeping each day of my stay. Two of three lamps did not work and neither did the towel heater and room was not cleaned one day even when requested. The hotel felt dirty even in restaurant and I felt the whole place felt like needed a deep cleaning. It was a huge letdown considering the price of the hotel. The only good thing was the location next to the river and the bridge to Eton and convenient to Windsor Castle. I would not recommend this hotel and will not stay here when I return next year.I am sure the Travelodge next to the train station us just as clean.

We stayed for one night and our room was in the original building. They layout is 'quirky' but that can be expected for an older building. The room was immaculate and spacious, maybe the shower was on the small side. Staff we welcoming and extremely helpful. I wouldnt think twice about staying here again.

All staff very friendly & helpful. Room very nice, especially the bathroom/shower. The latter was very good, apart from a couple of niggles, which meant it wasn't excellent. They are, the dispensers were behind the shower & the towel hooks could have been closer. The hotel is a superb location & within easy walking distance of everything. The only other comment is as we were in a room across the road from the main hotel, it would be nice to have complementary umbrella's for when its raining.

I am a bit of a clean freak and I can honestly say this hotel has been the cleanest I’ve ever been in. The two rooms we stayed in were absolutely immaculate. All the staff were lovely and went above and beyond in every situation 😊 Thank you, we all had a lovely stay with you!

Great location by the river and within easy walking distance of town centre, eton and the castle. Lovely breakfast. Parking was close by, in the station, though was an extra charge. Ltd draught beer choice though in the bar, no bitters or ales on tap, and no cider and the bar does not do cocktails. We did notice cobwebs in the room had not been cleared, cleanliness was not the best in the room

Nice hotel and the location was convenient. Parking was VERY inconvenient. Room was hot, but fan helped. Bed was a small double, probably what I booked, so not their fault. The best thing was breakfast in a lovely room overlooking the river.

Great location, spacious room. My interactions with the staff were very pleasant. My reservation came with breakfast, which was a buffet style in the restaurant area that had a beautiful water view. I enjoyed my stay very much and would highly recommend.

Nice clean room but beware that many rooms are across the road from the main building and you have to dart between them (not great when it was pouring down) for food or reception. Bedrooms doors are loud when they auto close and slam shut, a very disruptive night due to inconsiderate guests all hours. Amazing location for Windsor castle and right on the river. Superb breakfast and view from brasserie.

So lucky to stay in room 308 - recently renovated, with air con, and on first floor with first rate river view. This room is across from the main Sir Christopher Wren building. It was very quiet even though pedestrians could walk by on sidewalk. The staff who greeted us, answered our questions, and checked us out were super helpful and friendly. Big shout out to Ines for her help with our day trip to London and keeping our bags for a few hours. Another shout out to gentleman who checked us in - Rodolfo possibly. The included breakfast buffet was a great benefit - quick, delicious, with gluten free toast and Nutella.

Sir Christopher Wren has become our go-to hotel as we depart the UK. It is close to Heathrow and beautifully situated. The staff is fabulous and very helpful. On our last visit, our flight home was canceled, requiring that we stay an extra night - the staff couldn't have been more accommodating.

They tried to fob me off at check in and put me in some building across the street which they claimed was part of the historic hotel. No help with luggage on arrival. Hotel manager did carry a suitcase to my room which was appreciated as the room was about 50 yards away around multiple corners and staircases. Afternoon tea was beautiful freshly baked scones which were a treat

Rooms are beautiful, hotel is lovely, breakfast is good, and location is perfect. Adjacent to train station and two blocks from Windsor Castle. Service was poor. We received very poor advice concerning the time required for a car to central London, and very limited assistance when we asked for restaurant recommendations. We would likely stay there again, but we would not rely on staff for assistance beyond basic hotel service. The hotel needs to invest in training for staff. They were quite pleasant; just not trained for the work in a hotel of this sort.

Windsor was a great venue for our meeting of a group of friends and the Hotel was really good. The location was excellent, right between the castle (I had a wonderful view of the castle from room 461) and the Thames. Walking distance to two train stations. Plenty of good restaurants a few minutes walk from the hotel. Breakfast was good and the staff very attentive. The same is true for the front desk and concierge. There is at least one accessible room to be reserved. Ubers are plentiful and only a few minutes away. I found it somewhat odd that the hotel is spread over several adjoining buildings but this did not affect the stay in any way. I do recommend the Sir Christopher Wren for anyone staying in the Windsor/Eton area.

Reception staff were very welcoming, Reception area very clean. Room excellent. Bed very comfortable. Breakfast excellent and loads of it . Hotel next to the river and only 5 minutes from the castle. Plenty of places to eat and drink nearby.

The hotel is very nice and well located to explore Windsor and the rooms are clean and comfortable. This visit (we have stayed before) our room faced out to the front of the hotel - non-double glazed windows - and was very noisy with people spilling out from nightclubs and the kebab shop at the end of the street, this went on until 3:30 on the Sunday morning. When we mentioned it to the staff on departure they knew about the problem and said if anyone complained they sent the concierge out to move people away. WHY don't they do this automatically when it is noisy outside??? If guests don't know to complain to reception about it because it isn't mentioned then it should be sorted by staff since it clearly happens a lot. They should have someone clearing people away after midnight and if people won't clear they should inform the police

Excellent location right on the Thames river, with views of the Thames from our room, and from breakfast room and Brasserie. Just a block from Windsor castle. Really good and extensive buffet breakfast was included. Nice staff. Good sized room. Only caveat is that it required a bunch of steps up and steps down, then a full flight of steps up to reach our room. This was ok for us but would be difficult for some. Bellhop carried our bags up and down.

The location and scenery from the bar over the river was lovely and the breakfast was lovely. They were the good bits. Starting with the room (n°10). The bathroom is very dated. Shower head leaking, old extractor fan rattlerling, lack of facilities ie no toilet brush, no bag in the bin etc. Grubby tiles. Broken hangers and dated wardrobe to match the dated furniture. Limited sockets, the ones we had where in the wrong place so had to place items on the floor. All not epected in a 4 star hotel. Maybe a 3-star. Evening menu shocking as very limited, more of a pub menu. Was hoping for a la carte menu. Shame we were expected to sit at low level bar tables and chairs for our meals. Not professional. Unfortunately we tried to check out on the app, which the hotel recommends, but the initial price was 4 times more than expected. Checked out at reception instead only to find we were being overcharged ! Issuse swiftly sorted by Wendy. The best asset if the hotel is its staff.

The location is wonderful. Staff is great. The bar only offered two cocktails, a lemon or pinapple concoction. Menu is underwhelming. Facility is a bit tired looking. Pillows are terrible. Nice bathroom. Nice view.
