Lovely hotel right on the river Arno. 1.5 mile walk to town but hotel has a great shuttle service and the bus stop is also only a few minutes walk. Breakfast was really nice, staff very friendly and helpful. Room very clean and comfortable. Spa area was really nice, used it three times during our stay, one hour included per day, pool with jets, sauna and steam room. Had it to ourselves each time as we were there in low season. Would definitely stay here again if we are ever back in Florence.

Overall this hotel is amazing. Super nice and clean. Pool is amazing. Great bar area. Good service and friendly staff. We would bike to and from town during the day. Take the shuttle back to the city center in the evening, then walk off dinner along the river at night. Also can’t beat the on site parking and easy access. I only have 2 complaints: The breakfast was way overpriced…50 euro per couple…and to do a la carte it cost 14 euro for 2 cappuccinos and 2 tiny croissants. Also, the bikes need some serious maintenance…rims are bent, tires are dried out and low on air…brakes are not fully functional….seats do not have quick release which makes it hard to adjust height. This is an east fix for a high end hotel. Call your local bike mechanic.

When we arrived in Florence, we realized that one of our checked bags of luggage had been left behind by the airline in Amsterdam. We called the hotel to see if they could push-back the driver\'s time about 1.5 hours to 2 hours to enable us to sort through the lost and found process with our airline and file our missing baggage claim with the airport staff, but the hotel was unwilling/unable to do so. This resulted in us being charged 75 Euros for a "no show" fee for the driver. The lack of flexibility our empathy for our situation was extremely disappointing.

In addition we never saw the cleaning staff. The pool, lounge and dining areas were okay, but a little tight for space. I believe they did the best they could with the space they had. Breakfast buffet food quality was okay, but limited for the cost. I found the dining menu having the same issue as breakfast. Overall I liked Ville sull’Arno, safe area, we were able to walk back from our excursions which was about 2 km walk. Cheers.

This is a nice hotel but overpriced and all about money. The breakfast is 25 euros per person and we had barely started eating the buffet before the waiter started trying to collect money. We ate lunch here and it was very overpriced for basic food (35 euros for a glass of red wine!!!). The controls on the hot water in the shower were broken. Otherwise it’s a nice setting.

I was excited to stay here for my birthday. I was disappointed the room we got with the jetted tub only had hot water and seem to have some issues. The river view was nice but had construction as my view. We had so many mosquitoes in our room, I left with several bites. There more bugs in the pool area so that also limited our time there. Additionally the staff was hit and miss. The bartender was not friendly and poor customer service. And the front desk, Lorenzo was extremely rude, dismissive and acted as he could not be bothered to answer questions or provide support. Not a place that felt hospitable. The indoor pool I looked forward to was only limited to one hour a day per day. And you had to reserve a time. Not worth the money to stay here.

Nice property. Decent room, but pay attention to room choice. My room, a suite, only had one small window overlooking the river. Some of the staff members are fantastic and others not. While marketed as a 5 star hotel, it is a mid 4 star hotel. While it has parking, it can only accommodate a few cars and street parking is rough. I had some day trips to do so parking for a rental was important. Otherwise I would have stayed in town center.

We loved this hotel! There were three of us (2 adults and 1 teenager), and our room was huge by European standards. The room came well appointed with comfortable beds, plenty of outlets, robes, slippers, and a minibar. The hotel has a free shuttle into town and back. This was so convenient after a long day of walking and shopping. Our favorite was the spa. It is free to use and has an indoor pool, sauna, steam room, showers, lockers, flip-flops, and a fun heated bench. That was heavenly after a long day of sightseeing. You reserve a time (it was never a problem) so the pool area is never crowded. The breakfast was a bit overpriced but still convenient. We would stay here again in a heartbeat.

Just left the hotel - fantastic property which is a little off the beaten path outside of the main touristy areas for a quieter experience. The property itself has great amenities and fantastic staff. Food was excellent as well. Rooms are very small and if you’re not used to certain shower nuances then you’ll need to adjust but everything is first rate.

Was an easy cab ride to Duomo area of Florence. We liked the pool area for late afternoon rest before dinner back in the center of town. If it was not 95 degrees we would have rode bikes in they give you for free.. Cab ride was 14 dollars with was pricey. Rooms were top of the line!!! One of the best rooms in all of our trip over 3 weeks in ITALY.

Beautiful setting along the river. Great restaurant for breakfast and dinner. Spacious room, clean, well maintained and beautiful furnishings. Only thing not amazing were the pillows which were a little flat. Staff was very helpful and helped me retrieve my cell phone from a taxi that I left it in - avoided a huge inconvenient tragedy! My wife wants to go back and the rest of our trip now is being measured against this hotel..

Overall this hotel is amazing. Super nice and clean. Pool is amazing. Great bar area. Good service and friendly staff. We would bike to and from town during the day. Take the shuttle back to the city center in the evening, then walk off dinner along the river at night. Also can’t beat the on site parking and easy access. I only have 2 complaints: The breakfast was way overpriced…50 euro per couple…and to do a la carte it cost 14 euro for 2 cappuccinos and 2 tiny croissants. Also, the bikes need some serious maintenance…rims are bent, tires are dried out and low on air…brakes are not fully functional….seats do not have quick release which makes it hard to adjust height. This is an east fix for a high end hotel. Call your local bike mechanic.

Absolutely fantastic stay in Florence at the Vill Sull'Arno. Located in a beautiful spot on the river and a lovely 20 minute walk into central Florence. Staff were so welcoming and we couldn't have asked them for anymore. Food was excellent at breakfast and dinner.

Great customer service, rooms are big and clean. We absolutely loved the food at breakfast and at their restaurant for dinner. Very friendly staff and convenient shuttles to the city center. Highly recommend!
