Grand Hotel Baglioni

A perfect location for a visit to Florence. A short walk to all the major attractions. The hotel has a lovely panoramic restaurant with a view over Florence, with outdoor terraces; perfect for warm summer evenings.

Our first room was awful. We booked a cheap economy room and whilst it was large and full of character, it was awful. The plug sockets didn’t work, and the staff’s solution was to supply a huge extension lead which had to extend around the whole room, to allow us one socket to charge our phones etc by our beds at night. The bed was very uncomfortable and, being on the 1st floor at the front of the hotel, we were awoken very early with numerous delivery vans and their drivers shouting. I complained and they upgraded us to an amazing family room, recently refurbished and very comfortable and higher up with no disturbance. The concierge staff could not have been more helpful. Breakfast choice is huge and very good.

This is a lovely old hotel in the center of the city. A bit overpriced for the quality of the rooms but great location and the staff is lovely. The lounge area is large and a great place to meet others or to hang out. Lots of construction around the hotel in May 2026.
