We just loved our stay here! The hotel was very nice and we felt like coming home. We definitely recommend this hotel - this will absolutely be the place where we stay next time we come Florence.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. The facilities were just the right mix of old world and modern (very nice bathroom for example). The breakfast was good and the proprietress baked - definitely a bonus. The location is excellent, just minutes away on foot from major attractions. I would definitely stay here again.

Staying at Il Villino was an excellent experience. Barbara and her family/staff operate a lovely bed and breakfast that is like an oasis in the middle of a very busy city. Our room was maintained impeccably . We had a view of the Duomo from our window. The breakfasts were amazing - including bacon, eggs, croissants, cheese, pastries, fruits, cakes and Canadian like coffee. The main floor offers an authentic and beautiful Italian courtyard where you can have breakfast or enjoy a glass of wine and read. Barbara will go out of her way to ensure her guests are happy. Highly recommended!!!!

Staying here was a highlight of our trip. We arrived early after an overnight flight and were warmly welcomed by Barbara. Lovely historic property with unique features such as original floor tiles, wood beamed ceilings and an inner courtyard with trees and flowers where we enjoyed relaxing after a busy day in Florence. The property was very clean and well maintained. Breakfast was provided with a wide variety of hot and cold foods including delicious homemade cakes by Barbara. We had a great sleep in the comfortable bed. Barbara was a wealth of information, everything from directions, history and culture to her excellent restaurant recommendations. Do yourself a favour and stay here when you visit Florence!
