Comfort Suites Daphne - Mobile East Bay

Great staff ! Great breakfast! Very nice environment! Just some mold in our room but you can tell renovations are in process stay wasn’t bad enough for me not to go back !

PROS: Service and staff were great! Breakfast consisted of the usual continental breakfast staples plus hot options like waffles, cheese omelets, sausage patties, biscuits and gravy. Clean sheets, blankets, comfy beds, crib was in great condition and clean as well. Mini fridge was actually cold! CONS: Bathroom things were broken and "patched" vs fixed. (Vanity, toilet, pool gate) Pool area could have been a bit cleaner, the deepend side both inside and outside of pool had some loose concrete grit. Not enough to deter us from enjoying the pool, though.

The receptionist was undoubted sick. But she was professional and courteous. We had an issue with a loud neighbor. She promptly gave us another room and asked the guest to turn down their music (this was after 10:00pm). The tv remote in our new room did not work. But we were tired so it did really impact us much. The next morning, the elevator did not operate. Sucks carrying luggage down several floors.

The room was damp. Side entrance security doors did not lock….anyone can walk in from the street/road. We stayed Tuesday through Saturday (prepaid). Our room was never serviced/cleaned. We asked about it on the Friday and was told that the room was supposed to be cleaned, but since we were checking out on Saturday they decided not to.🙁

The pillows and bed were super comfy! The best pillows I have ever slept on. Very clean and roomy. Not stylish, but had everything I need. Fridge, Microwave & Sink. I will definitely be back! Best stay in Daphne so far.

Elevator was not working. Sign at front desk said, something like elevator stopped working this afternoon and repair service on the way. Also, Choice has been made aware. Next day, same sign claiming it stopped working this afternoon. No notification sent to traveler. Once arrived, then had to use stairs to carry luggage, etc.

PRO: NICE STAFF, spacious room, nice breakfast offered, except no hot water for tea, had to ask a few times for dispenser to be filled. CONS: internet didn't connect until after 6 times and a visit with the front desk. Only worked for 6 hrs (arrived at 1am). Didn't work in the morning when I needed to have connection to work. They ALLOW SMOKERS to smoke 5 feet away from a non smoking sign, 1 foot away from the pool towels, and the 2nd hand smoke permeates the pool area for guests, which is a HEALTH HAZARD and makes enjoying the amenities not possible for those allergic to smoke. When I asked for assistance, the staff did not help. In fact more smokers smoked right near the door, affected ALL THE GUESTS Staying at what is posted as a "nonsmoking" hotel.

We stayed once on Friday, June 20th, and again on June 24th. On the 20th, when we arrived, we were informed that the only elevator in the building was out of order, and the only available rooms were on the third floor. My partner has had knee replacements, and managing the stairs was difficult. No discount, no refunds, nothing. We were promised a first floor room for Tuesday, the 24th. On our Tuesday arrival, we were given a first floor room, but the A/C wasn't working properly. The room was muggy. Not inclined to stay here again.

The first room we were given had an unpleasant smell and the curtain rod for the blackout curtain was broken and could t be closed. The toilet in the second room had something stuck in it preventing it from flushing. The third room we were given had part of the curtain hanging down on one side and the freezer was completely frosted over and unable to be used until WE defrosted it. There were pieces of sheetrock left on a bench in the hallway for a day and half and once remove the dust from it remained for another day. The washer on our floor was out of order the entire 5 days we were there. The staff was friendly and helpful but there were so many maintenance issues that we feel were unacceptable.

There was a red stain on my bottom sheet near the top so I slept on the opposite side. Showed it to housekeeping and she took pictures. Not sure if it was blood or makeup or nail polish. This was room 309.

Front desk clerk was nice. When we turned down our sheets our comforter had dried blood on it. GROSS Out family stayed in 2 other rooms and they were nasty as well the beds had hair in them. AWFUL AWFUL. we should have tried to get a refund.

The room was not cleaned well at all. The floor in the bathroom had not been mopped. When we wiped up some water on the floor with the bath mat, the mat was a dark brown from wiping the water on the floor. The toilet tank had black grease looking marks, as well as the top of the toilet seat. The top of the toilet seat also had a very long black hair stuck to it that did not belong to any of us. This was all the first time we had used the bathroom. There were piles of construction dust in each corner beside the sink vanity that was never cleaned up. It looks like it was possibly dust from sanding. On the ceiling there were black specs indicating a possible mold or mildew problem. Ventilation was very poor in the bathroom. Our toilet got clogged early one morning and the front desk attendant didn’t have a plunger or anyone to call to help. We had to wait for the manager to come in and she simply handed us the plunger to take care of it. No maintenance staff on duty even at 7/8am. On the upside, I reported the problem with the bathroom floor being filthy as soon as we noticed it. The attendant on duty at that time did come to our bathroom and cleaned the floors herself by spraying cleaner and wiping it up. I wouldn’t stay here again and wouldn’t recommend it.

Upon arrival the bed linens were soiled with vomit from the previous guests. Although they changed our bedding it showed that the room want cleaned prior to our arrival.

Overall the stay was fine. Very strong mildew/mold smell the carpet felt damp so it just had that old wet smell. Small gym but everything else was doable for a one night stay.

The sheets had stains on them, and there was no one there to change them, so I had to change all the bedding by myself. The bathroom floor was so dirty like it hadn't been swept/mopped in a long time. I'm glad I had some Clorox disinfecting wipes, so I foot mopped the floor with them. I actually seen a couple of roaches in the room. The room had a bad musty smell to it.

Check-in was quick easy and reception was friendly. Room was clean and very clean and comfortable. Would stay again.

Everything was good except for blood on the sheets. The staff was notified and they were changed.

Our room was filthy and was the worst smelling hotel room I have ever stayed in. There was an intensely strong odor of mildew and general funk. The room was dirty. I couldn’t wait to shower and get out. Also, they have complementary breakfast but didn’t even have milk to go with the cereal. I would not recommend. One of the worst hotels I have stayed at.

Nice, large rooms. Hotel was clean except for the ottoman in the room, had mud/dirt stains on it. Also, the toilet seat was broken. Reported to front desk but maintenance was not on property (weekend). Nice staff, great location but the hotel looks like it needs to be maintained better.

Our room was recently updated BUT the door handle was installed upside down: the toilet was a14” for a child not an adult: the old electrical outlets were an eyesore in an otherwise lovely bathroom.

Quiet / nice Big Room!

Room was really no bigger than an ordinary hotel room. No couch and just a small chair in the sitting area. Bathroom was very spacious

I wish I could remember the sweet lady who checked us in yesterday. She was an absolute rockstar. She was quick, sweet, very helpful and extremely kind!!

We love this area when we come in November for the Battleship race. what I thought was unfair was at check in they allowed some to have a late check out which is super helpful when you have such a large event and some of us were not allowed the late check out. either allow it or not. we had to rush back instead of taking our time at the end of the race to allow us to shower and get ready to hit the road for travel.

Have stayed there multiple times and loved it- had an infant and asked for new towels and trash to be emptied 2 days in a row. Nope! Then had to go to desk to get towels- Also has great lemon water , but twice no cups. So not like them!!! Disappointed for sure- one employee was on elevator when my daughter called and said no towels- he immediately grabbed me some. Was very nice. Don’t know where the miscommunication is happening- please fix because I like staying there-

the front desk staff was rude and not hepful. Maybe having a back afternooon. there was a baseball game on her TV, asked if she could tell us what channel it was on and she just grumbled and said "FOX". okay what channel. she didnt want to get up to get remote to find out. Asked if we could purchase a milk for the little one and she said no, they are for breakfast.

It was a pleasure to stay here. Everyone from the front desk to housekeeping was friendly and efficient. I would stay and recommend here to family and friends.

Nice staff, I like to tip the person that organizes the breakfast. She did a nice job. Desk staff was capable and courteous.

Very nice hotel! Lots of coffee and breakfast snacks. The room and bathroom were nice. Super comfy bed! So convenient to lots of dining, the beach and Bass Pro!!!

Very close to Daphne sports complex where we were playing softball and great location for shopping and eating.

Everything was excellent. I liked the walking trail near the hotel and shopping was so close. There were several restaurants within walking distance.

The property was clean, staff was very helpful and it was very convenient to shopping and restaurants.

Hotel is located just off Interstate 10 next to dining and shopping. Hotel is nicely decorated, comfortable but a little worn around the edges. Room 302 had a musty, mildew smell in the frig/sink area. Altogether would recommend for an overnight stop on the way to the Gulf.

Breakfast was delicious and offered a wide variety of foods. It was always replenished. Front desk people were extremely friendly and helpful.

Quick overnight trip. Room was fine, nothing special. Overflowing trash bin just outside of front entry upon arrival and worse the next day at checkout. No breakfast.

wow!! first the front desk. they were so sweet and helpful. my rear window got a leak on our drive from texas and of course it started raining. They let us part under the awning to keep the inside from getting soaked. Tell me another hotel that would have been that accommodating!?!? 😇 Quick check in and super clean rooms. next breakfast… yum! the banana nut waffle was next level. the guy in the cafe was so friendly and helpful. always kept the food stocked and hot. My kids loves the omelette with cheese. i would stay here again in a heartbeat. great price and honestly i feel it was way too cheap considering how great everything was
