Hampton Inn Ft Payne

The hotel was spacious, clean, and dog friendly. Plenty of parking, gas station nearby.

Property is newly renovated and was nice inside the breakfast area and rooms. The Inside pool area was extremely hot and uncomfortable and the front desk didn’t seem to know how to turn on the AC to help.

Well maintained Hotel, staff were very helpful room was clean and beds were comfortable. The only down side was indoor pool was ice cold i had booked this hotel specifically so my kids could seim on spring break.

I am normally not super picky. But for the price of the room, I would want it to be a little bit more cleaner and modern. The air condition didn’t seem to work. The best in the room was stuffy. The pool was freezing cold. You would think with an indoor pool it might have a little warmth to it. So it was hard for the kids to really enjoy it.

Checking in took forever, and I cannot believe the pet fee has gone up, when it’s just a night or two 75 is a lot. Looks like I won’t be going to the Hampton anymore. Disappointing.

Very nice hotel and very pet friendly.

Pet owners beware they have an additional $75 non refundable pet charge on top of the $85 security deposit that is not disclosed until check in and after driving 14 hours we weren’t in the mood to argue about it. The hotel is clean, comfortable and nice but it seems a little unethical to surprise your guest with additional charges at check in. $250 a night is outrageous for a Hampton inn

Easy access, friendly check in and plenty of handicap parking

Dislike: advertised indoor pool but was too cold to swim. Was some noise between rooms so walls must have been thin. Like: hot options for breakfast but typical. Bed comfortable.

I was charged 85.00 for my ADA Certified pet. Plus the reste on the website said it was a non charge for service animals. Very upset

The staff were friendly and helpful. The beds and breakfast were great. The rooms were immaculate. Everything was clean, and I slept great. I would definitely stay at another Hampton Inn.

They staff was friendly enough, that’s about it. Floors in room was filthy, bed was way to hard. Even other people were complaining about the beds, so I know it wasn’t just us.

Our bathroom had dried blood on door, muddy handprints everywhere, dried urine around toilet. When I reported it to staff, they brought me cleaning products, gloves, and napkins.

This place was really amazing for our short stay. The lobby was clean and welcoming. All members of staff we spoke with here really nice and helpful. The bed was really comfy too. We will definitely stay here again next time we’re visiting family in Ft. Payne!

These rooms are immaculate, the staff is super friendly. If you're looking for an overnight stay right on Rt. 59 after a long day of driving or visiting the Fort Payne area this is the place.

The hotel was a good fit for the price. It was clean and comfortable but no frills.

The walls did not block out any sounds - from the person showering and flushing toilet multiple times a night, the constant elevator singing (I guess I was on a popular floor) and the trucks on the highway. Wish I could of had a better sleep.

I did not like the room I was assigned only because it was located next to the door leading outside. That door would slam shut each time it was opened which was opened up until about 02:30 a.m. which kept myself and my granddaughter awake all night. That's my only complaint.

The Hotel itself wasnt bad, there were some amazing folks at the front desk providing insights into points of interest and things to do. But seriously Hilton, if you're gonna plop these things right next to an interstate highway maybe invest in some sound proofing? I gave 1 star for ecofriendly because honesty, who cares? Ecofriendly would be more like - dont build this stuff.

The properties clean. What I did not like is they do not offer pay-per-view movies and when I tried to hook a fire stick to the TV so that we could watch without commercials their system is not compatible with any of the Roku, Google or fire sticks. We've stayed there twice and it's been an issue both times.

LIKED THE LOCATION, STAFF WERE NICE AND FRIENDLY NOT ENOUGH LIGHTING IN ROOM, ROOM WAS AT END OF HALL,HEARD DOOR SLAM DAY & NITE,OUTSIDE AND FOR STAIRS

My husband and I stayed there on a work trip. The hotel itself and stuff were great. Our only issue was, the Wi-Fi... It was so slow you could not stream anything. I contacted them multiple times to see if we could pay to upgraded internet and you couldn't. I even contacted their internet provider because I know the last time we stayed there you could but I was told they no longer use the same provider.

2 night stay was good. Walls thin so hear everything.

Do not recommend. Everything was great up until breakfast. The woman working the breakfast area was incredibly rude to me and my son. I tried to ask for information about breakfast and it was very apparent she did not want to speak to me. She pointed and made face gestures instead of simply saying anything at all. Then she began telling my son to be quiet and people were sleeping but there were tables of people louder than my son simply being a kid and not doing anything for that matter. Also, for more context, we were the only people of color there and my son is autistic. I mentioned both those things because he looks atypical and she was kinder to another mother and her daughter that resembled our actions down to the same question I asked and louder than my son. It's unfortunate in 2024 we had to experience such an unnecessary experience.

Friendly staff, excellent customer service, delicious breakfast bar, beautiful facility. I would highly recommend it.

Great place and friendly staff.

After driving 7 hours through heavy traffic and pouring rain, I arrived at 6 pm on a Saturday to find NO ONE at the front desk to check me in. I waited, asked is anyone there?, waited, walked further into the lobby and hall and asked again. No response. A phone ringing at the front desk went unanswered. Another guest noticed a piece of paper stuck on the glass saying staff had stepped out but please enjoy browsing around the lobby. Really? A strsnge and unexpected experience.

Overall the property and staff were exceptional! I was not able to give a full 5 star review because of an issue with an employee during check in on Friday afternoon. First of all they told me the wrong price of $500 before inserting my card into the reader. Although they were able to cancel the transaction it was still able to process through my bank account. I\'m easy going so no problem at all. I was going to receive the funds back on the card anyways but it was put on hold for 3-4 days and I needed the funds immediately for the weekend since I was from out of town. Again no worries because I called my bank and they told me exactly what was needed from the hotel to put the funds back in the account within the hour. (A simple letter or email with my name, the amount charged, and a short reason of why the funds could be taken off hold and released. When I tried to explain this the female supervisor was rude, interrupted me and cut me off 7-8 times and said "Your card wasn\'t charged, we don\'t have anything to show or give them to say it was". I calmly said yes ma\'am I realize that then tried to explain again what had happened and what I needed from her to correct it on my banks end all while the lady from my bank was on the other end of my phone call on speaker when the supervisor again interrupted me. I calmly told the lady on the phone from the bank I\'m trying to explain what happened and what I need from her but she keeps cutting me off and will not let me explain.

The hotel was clean and well card for. The air conditioning/heating was excellent. The breakfast was OK. We weren't able to check in early. When we got there the staff were all down the hall in a room visiting and laughing.... with no one at the front desk so we waited in the lounge until 3pm check in time. We didn't use the pool or see any pets.

The people at the front desk were so accommodating it’s not funny they got me in my room early and added a night. The room was immaculate and the housekeeping was profound

I made my reservations through hotel.com a week ago. I chose to have a king room and when we got there to check in they didn’t have a king room available gave us a queen room on first floor by the Laundry room and all during the night was noise and running water. Got at call from front desk at 10:30pm checking to see if we were still coming. We were in our room asleep! Also, when checking in I was informed about a $85 fee that after our stay would be reimbursed. Was not told anything about that fee when reserving.

There was construction beyond the hotel and it looks out over a back parking lot of another hotel. Location is right at the interstate which may be good for some people, but not what we were expecting.

I book my son here every trip back and forth from school to home. I appreciate the location, rate, and assistance provided to address any questions. I often recommend this place to other travelers.

great location only 15min from DeSoto Falls. booked on Expedia and got a good deal. the hotel, room, pool dining area super clean. the breakfast food options were good, just wished they had a bit more options. the customer service was fantastic! everyone we interacted with was so nice. Vicki who works front desk at night was such a delight 😊. she is so kind and genuine and had so much knowledge about the area and made our stay so pleasant. we look forward to coming back and seeing her again. she even put together a great information board to showcase activities to do in the area. she was way more helpful and informative than Google.

Breakfast sucked compared to the price I paid for the room! That was the only improvement needed!! The egg omelet was frozen and the potatoes were dried out. You can do better.

The hotel was great. The downside was the coffee station. Only changed in the morning. So if you wanted some at night it was out and or cold.

Nice and clean with great friendly service. The bed was a bit soft, but everyone likes something a little different when it comes to beds. Breakfast was one of the best hotel breakfasts I’ve had.
