My favorite hotel to stay at when traveling to Florida, the location is great, the rooms are excellent! Close to resturants and tge park, everything is walking distance. Best old fashions too! This hotel is just beautiful!

Stayed 1 night

I've stayed here many times while traveling through Mobile. First, to give credit where it's due, I still consider this the best hotel in Mobile. That said, each stay seems to come with a different room quality and a different staff experience. The staff is generally friendly and accommodating, although on occasion I get the impression that some employees are not particularly happy to be there. The rooms are the biggest unknown. I sometimes wonder if booking through Expedia results in being assigned the least desirable rooms, regardless of how many times you've stayed at the property. Maybe that's not the case, but it can feel that way. To be fair, I've also stayed in some very nice, well maintained rooms here. However, on this most recent stay, and on a few previous occasions, I've been assigned rooms showing significant wear, including partially repainted repairs, signs of heavy use, and what appeared to be possible water damage around ventilation areas. One previous stay featured a view directly into a corner of a roof filled with debris and an old rotting chair sitting outside in what can only be described as "the void." After nearly a dozen stays, this latest experience has me considering driving farther into Florida instead of making this my traditional stopover. As I said, I still believe this is the best hotel in Mobile, but I'm no longer certain it's worth stopping at next time.
