The first room had crumbs all over the floor. They moved me to 206. Very depressing decor. The carpet still had loose threads like it hadn’t been vacuumed. The shower. The shower head is nothing. Something from the 70’s. Getting the water temperature ok is impossible. The control is weird. Standing in the plastic tube you feel the give like it will fall through. I weigh 121 pounds! The sofa is weird two tone azure color. The pillows on the bed are like old rocks. The towels scratchy. The products for the shower cheap. The elevator never came. Nor the service elevator. They have a note up saying high demand. A worker said they just don’t work. Had to carry my suitcase down the stairs. The only upside. A lovely woman who works in your restaurant and the chocolate chip cookies. You have an amazing location. So much potential. This desperately needs some TLC.

This property was a steal, especially for the price. The staff was friendly and accommodating. The best part was the restaurant, which was open and was able to serve us while everything else in the area was jam-packed. This is the place to stay, especially if you’re in the area for Somerset Mall.

Nice enough hotel, for an older hotel it is in very good condition. Lots of free parking and easily accessible. Comfortable bed. Right next door to a large shopping mall just a short walk away.

rooms and hotel very outdated. small room and room was always cold no matter what the therostat was set too. thin sheets and covering on the bed and no hot water the wntire weekend for showers. stayed there for a dance compwtition as venue hotel. one set of 2 elevators slow and took foverer. next time would commute from other hotels down the road.

The property was fine but not excellent. The internet was off from 6 pm and consequently all tv channels until our checkout next morning, the reason we were told is the thunderstorm which was long over before the interruption. Briefly not worth the price/night.

Maid service didn't come, i was there 3 nights. Covid is ling over, that should be standard. Front desk was friendly. Live free parking and great location. Didn't like that if you wanted to order at restaurant you had to fine in, couldn't get it to go

We Stayed for two nights, housekeepers did not clean the room, nor replaced the towels citing that I have to request service which is a complete BS; the hotel is understaffed, needs remodeling. Front desk service is slow and inefficient (Jeff) I will NOT stay in that hotel again.

The initial room we were assigned had bed bugs. We were switched rooms quickly and quietly. I’m not complaining about the bugs. Everyplace has them, but you’ve as old think they would comp a night of free breakfast or something. Quick apology is all we received. Will think twice about returning after stayed there every year for over ten years.

The hotel is dated; it hasn't been updated since the 80s. The bed is uncomfortable, the room was supposed to be an executive suite it was a regular room like a holiday inn. Actually, ive been in nicer holiday inns. It was not a good experience, i checked out early.

Check in was smooth but had to wait a few minutes due to short staffed and nothing special, no welcome or information about hotel dining options or water bottles. No water bottles in the room, LED lighting in hallway (floor 2) extremely bright, hospital like. Room was spacious and newer tv, safe but awful pillows made it hard to sleep and extremely loud plumbing. Very clean property and enjoyed breakfast at Crumpets.

First off I have to say the staff is so nice and accommodating. The hotel itself is pretty dated- very basic. I’m sure it was pretty nice back in 1990 but I don’t think anything has ever been updated. Fine for a place to sleep but it’s not what I was expecting with the Somerset name. Perfectly fine but nothing special. I would not stay here again.

Absolutely thin walled facility. You can hear if someone take a shower or take a pies. It has old generation AC units. It kept kicking in and out all night every 5mins. With constant temp deference, it was waking me up from deep sleep very often. I couldn't ran fan constant so that it would not turn on and off every 5-7mins. They must change less to keep it appropriate. I would pay $110 instead of $168 per night.

For the most part, it was a nice stay. Everything was clean and the bed was comfortable, however the air did not work very well and if I had not brought a fan it would have been miserable. We had it turned to 67 and it was still reading 79.

Our room was right next to the ice machine I could hear that all day. The walls are so thin I could hear the door open to the fire exit which was also next-door. The walls are paper thin and you can hear everything I could hear the neighbors conversations. the Wi-Fi kept cutting out the toilet leaked. There is no fridge.

I was so looking forward to staying at Somerset Inn. It was so disappointing. Part wasn’t the fault of management, there were 4 traveling sports teams full of young boys wreaking havoc in the hallways and elevators. The management seemed to have gotten that under control. Hallways are noisy. Beds and pillows are bricks. Interior is extremely dated. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Great location, though. With all the other more modern hotels that are a bit less pricey, we probably won’t stay here again.

Huge issue, only boiling water in shower. Could not even take my shower and went to a gym nearby. I explained to the morning staff when checking out and he seem not too bother as he said I need to complain on the app. Not happy experience unfortunately but the night staff was nice and welcoming.

The staff were amazing at check in even though we were early and when we came back for the evening the staff again recommended restaurant options close to our hotel both excellent close to us. Would highly recommend this hotel.

Good price & location, but hotel needs a refresh. Front desk clerk didn’t program key correctly so couldn’t get into room, had to go back downstairs to do it again. Did have cookies at desk in the evening which was a nice touch.

Everything was amazing except, everytime me and my friends were going to our room, each one of them were asked which room they were in, and was asked what they were there for. I bought 3 rooms(4 people in each) and never exceeded the occupancy in a room. I feel it’s no business why we are here, but we told them it’s just for a bachelor party and then started asking if we had 15 people up their. We had 10 total out of 3 rooms which fits the criteria. Just felt like we were profiled, and harassed

In walking distance of Somerset Mall. Beautiful view. Comfy beds. Very elegant feel to the rooms. It was a very pleasant stay! Would definitely recommend Somerset Inn. Hope to return soon!

Perfect location in Troy next to Somerset Mall, I walked there daily. Convenient to restaurants. Friendly staff, comfy beds, and they had warm fresh baked cookies at the front desk every night! Will stay again!

Very quiet except for air conditioner in room which was loud and not efficient. Food was good, I can only rate breakfast. Beautiful garden but was too hot to enjoy. Tv was quirky to adjust. Room and bathroom were very clean.

The property staff was very nice and professional. The lobby and the entrance is beautiful. The room was very clean a little outdated but the bed and pillows slept great. The room was sound proof so we didn’t hear any noise from the outside which contributed to a great nights rest. Also the restaurant prices were very reasonable inside was very clean and the staff there was very nice as well.
