Best Western Superstition Springs Inn

My room was just feet away from a 24 hour drive through McDonalds lane. All I heard all night was “Welcome to McDonalds, can I take your order?” So so annoying! In addition, met my friends at the Jacuzzi only to be near the chain smokers area. PS, there is no elevator here. Not what you would expect from a Best Western.

False advertising. Pool was empty. Says gym on premises. No gym.

I stayed with 2 children on the spectrum. The interiors are renovated and meet my expectations for Best Western. The management team and Laura, went above and beyond to meet our needs. The pool area was clean and at night perfect temp for a refreshing swim. Entertainment, dining, shopping mall on the same property. Breakfast was excellent. Always greeted with a smile; fresh eggs, bacon sausage, biscuits to take to your room or dine in.

I was pleasantly surprises when we arrived at the Mesa Best Western Superstition Spring Inn. We thought we were staying at the Best Western located at the same Superstition Mall property we had stayed at in the past. I was ready to not like this BW Inn but to my surprise our stay was very pleasant and comfortable. Because I didn’t realize we were not familiar with this BW Inn I didn’t think to ask about elevators. So the only reason I didn’t give this location full stars for the outside appearance is because our room was on the second floor with outside access only no elevator. It was difficult for me to go up and from out room for breakfast and just coming and going. BUT, I was so pleased with the cleanliness of the room, I love the planking floor with h no dirty stinky carpet. The coffee pot, microwave, and mini fridge was most appreciated and used. The toiletries were perfect and small enough for our two people two day stay. So no wasted leftovers. The shower was clean. Water pressure great. Hot water plentiful and the drainage perfect. The beds were comfortable and I think the smaller sized pillows adequate.The bedding was white, clean and comfortable. The breakfast had both hot and cold plentiful options that were hot and tasty. A rating from me will stay at this Best Western again.

We were in the hotel for a week because our contractor needed more remodel time. It was very conveniently located to our house. Loved having a refrigerator in the room. It was awesome to have laundry facilities, ice and vending machine. The staff was super friendly and it was nice to have breakfast every morning. We also enjoyed having the movie theater and shopping so close. EXCELLENT Location!!

Great room, breakfast was just ok, the pool and hot tub are being dug out and cant use, too expensive

Pool area disappointed and inconvenient. Room was inconvenient getting in & out and getting luggage from car to room.

The pool area was closed!!! It was a beautiful day to catch some rays!!!

Nice quiet place. Easy access off the hwy. Food right across. Big parking lot next door for semi drivers.

We stayed five days. The staff was very pleasant, the room was clean. The bed was too soft for my liking, and our air conditioner was extremely loud. The TV was great with plenty of channels and the breakfast was great. The hot tub temperature was great, and the heated pool was a nice bonus. The hot tub jets were sub-par. Having a guest laundry facility available is very helpful. All in all, would definitely stay here again.

The room was not clean there was trash by the bed and the bathroom was not proper clean

I liked that it was quiet. I did not like the smell of the room the second that I opened the door, it smelled really bad. I did not like the stains on the sheets nor did I not like feeling dirty because I was in that room. I would never stay at this facility again.

The building is old but fairly clean. We did find hair in the bathroom & on the back of the bathroom door. The staff was very friendly. Breakfast was better than some but not a huge selection.

I stayed 8 days, and the room was cleaned ONCE, regardless of my request using the hang tag or in person. My room has a side window (instead of the front one) facing the swimming pool. I I can see on the outside were junk, pool cleaning tools. The window curtains were very old and dirty and have holes on them so that light could shine through. The only things that I can praise are the people who care for the breakfast room are courteous and friendly.

BW too quickly off main road. Poor markings on drive. Markings on BB drive worn poorly and NO raised direction signs. Room needed better dusting due exterior dust' floor was very dirty. Tub and shower floor very slippery. Shower curtain rod broken, reported condition to front desk and told that nothing could be done until follow morning.

The room was clean and check-in was easy. However, there were a lot of minor inconveniences. There were only two towels in a room reserved for four people. The bottles of shampoo and conditioner were used (we never use them but still, ew). There were no linens in the room for the sofa bed that we clearly were going to use, because again, reservation was for four people. The door had a pretty big gap so the noise was the worst part. I constantly heard the McDonald's speaker outside the room all night and morning as well as noise from other rooms. For $200 a night, I expect better.

Bathtub had hair in it after room service had been there. Bathroom floor was not cleaned properly, saw things on floor.

This was an excellent property. Rooms were older but updated to a degree. Cleanliness was exceptional. Breakfast was great. Would definitely stay here again.

The pool was nice and breakfast was amazing only thing was the beds were very uncomfortable definitely could use new ones. The staff were friendly and made it easy to check in. Also the dryer was out of service

Plenty of restaurant options. Fairly basic room layout. Not much for room decor.

The room was nice, with plenty of room to move and hang clothes. The bed was too firm for me, so I added a towel for padding. The noise from outside could be heard from the downstairs, low 100 rooms. I turned on the constant fan. At first I put it on cool, but that was very noisy. I put it on to a temp that I knew would never cause it to go on and it was fine.

This was a very nice hotel. A bit dated, and my bed was very hard, but it was clean and central. They also have a delicious breakfast every morning.

Try not to stay on the side of the McDonalds drive thru…was way too noisy for our liking

Bedroom area was spacious. Having a refrigerator and microwave was a bonus. Beds were lumpy, pillows uncomfortable. Woke up both mornings with a headache and bad back pains because of the bed. Bathroom is extremely tight and not easy to maneuver in. The room needs major cosmetic updates. The per night price was too much for the quality of the room. Will not stay here again.

I was happily surprised by the cleanliness of the room. I tend to never sleep well at a hotel, but here I actually did! I could tell there were recent renovations. AC unit in the room was rather loud, however, it ran all night without going off and on so it acted like a white noise machine and drowned out any possible noise from outside. I never needed staff assistance. The person checking us in was fine, not rude at all, but not very warm and welcoming. There was a great, full breakfast provided in the lobby.

Hotel refused to modify booking in any way because we booked from hotels.com. When all I was simply trying to do was add an extra day We had to wait until the entire next day and check out completely and check back in which put a strain on our plans because we weren't having to go back into the office the next day. Hotel would also not give us extra towels without waiting for room service to clean next day . The towels in the room were raggedy and short . Overall condition of the room was very subpar compared to previous stays at Best Western. Lady at Front Desk said they did not have water for guests despite having water bottles in room at every BW except for this one. Lady at front desk made us feel second class because we booked via Hotels.com and literally said thats why we were being treated in such a way. Every question we asked was met with a rude loud response even when simply asking for an additional key or where is the breakfast bar etc.

When we arrived I went to check in. The desk clerk (Laura) was in the vending area. She stuck her head around the corner and ask if she could help me. I said I had a reservation and was there to check in This seemed to be an imposition on her and when I asked about the handicapped room she said "that\'s what you rented so that\'s what you get. We don\'t make changes if you book through a 3rd party." When I asked if I\'d parked in the right spot I was rudely informed "all the handicapped rooms are on that side." She was harsh and abrasive and seemed like I was bothering her. The rest of the staff was courteous and friendly. We\'ve stayed there several times in the past and this is the first time anyone has been that rude. Perhaps Laura should not be in the hospitality business.

Aside from the sewage coming up from the bathtub and toilet in our room, it was also happing in the lobby bathroom. The staff did little to nothing to take care of or gain control of the problem. People were walking through overflowing bathrooms that were not blocked off in the lobby, then going to eat breakfast. They were told to use it, but don’t flush. When we asked how to take care of us not being able to shower or use the bathroom in our room, the front desk attendant, Laura, told us there was nothing she can do and we can use the MicDonald’s bathroom across the street. She was unwilling to even talk to us about what was going on and how we can move forward. I can understand having plumbing issues out of your control, but not having the courage to worth to talk your paying guests through the situation is outrageous. Worst experience of my life. I have never felt so gross leaving a hotel.

My husband and I have stayed here four or five times over the past two or three years. Employees are very pleasant and helpful. Any issues (stuck door, key card) have been dealt with speedily and politely.

The lady who checked us in was extremely rude and acted like we put her out to check us in. Upon arrival she was outside on the phone and said loudly”every damn time”. Slammed the door on the way in. If we hadn’t already paid for the room we would have left. I really didn’t appreciate the attitude

The rooms themselves we're ok, they were very clean and nice. The reason why I give it 2 stars is due to service and location. The service was pretty bad, I specifically booked this room because everywhere I looked it said 'pets welcome' yet as soon as I enter the lobby I am singled out by one of the lady's at the desk named Laura in front of everyone because I had brought my cat and that was 'gonna be a problem'. She continued to inform me that when they say 'pets welcome' they literally only mean dogs and 'for as long as she has been working in this business she has never seen a hotel allow cats'. I have stayed at hotels with my cat before, so I don't believe that is a universal experience. Then the location of the actual room is right by the McDonald's drive way and the speaker is VERY loud. The one upside of that was that there was a very enthusiastic McDonald's employee who was fun to listen to sometimes. Since I didn't get enough sleep during my stay I planned to check out late so I called to the desk and got the same woman from before who proceded to tell me that I would have to call back the next morning to ask for a late checkout. What's the point??? I wanted a late checkout so I could sleep in. All said and done I will not be staying here again.

Enjoyed our stay. The only issues was i accidentally made reservations for the 14th thur thr 18th but we didn't need the 18th so i immediately canceled the 18th and was told by expedia it would be canceled and i would receive a refund, but that didn't happen and the hotel couldn't fix it because it was made by a third party, so we basically throw away money as ee couldn't get it fixed after numerous efforts. Hotel was great and the staff was great!!

Nice and quiet. Staff is extremely courteous and helpful will definitely stay again due to these factors.

Felt like a seedy area. Trash from mcdonalds across the parking lot was regularly visible. Rooms were fine, beds were smaller than advertised and not great. Was affordable and had friendly staff though.

Close to the mall, within a short walk. Dennys and McDonalds close by.

We were very satisfied with our stay. Safe, quiet, convenient and clean.

Well, Hotel was really good. Conveniently located to everything we wanted to do and see. Just the fact that the fast food business's were within a stones throw of our room and the drive thru was a bit noisy at times.

The hotel is relatively pricey for a Best Western and the rooms are motel style with doors to the outside. Room was nicely remodeled and the bed was excellent. The breakfast and service was great. Overall - Ok - not great.

Traveling for a funeral. The hotel was a convenient location close to where the services were being held. It was nice and affordable for me and other family members that stayed there. The breakfast was good.

First time I’ve had daily cleaning at a hotel a long time. Staff very friendly and helpful. Breakfast very ordinary.

The breakfast choices were limited. The eggs and sausages were dry and tasteless. Nothing fancy. Laura at the front desk was abrupt and rude.

The breakfast was awesome and the employee taking care of it was so friendly and attentive. The room was clean and quiet at night. Very happy with our experience.
