Charged a $250 hold just to check in to the room that was already fully prepaid. The full cost of the room for the night was under $150, so charging $250 for incidentals is absurd. I was not told there would be a hold placed on my card or the amount it would be. The receptionist just asked for my card and ran it. Also, be aware that there is a $20 parking fee per night. For some reason this fee must be paid to a third party and requires setting up an account on your cellphone and scanning a QR code. You CANNOT pay the parking fees directly to Holiday Inn. No smart phone? No parking. Don't want to set up an account and provide your personal license plate and credit card information to some unknown 3rd party app? No parking. I'm not familiar with the random company that's collecting these fees or why they are collecting the fees. The whole setup is not mentioned anywhere online or on any official Holiday Inn literature. For all I know, this could be an illegitimate money making racket the manager or receptionist is running on the side. If Holiday Inn expects their clientele to pay parking fees to some random 3rd party company, they need to make that explicitly clear during the booking process. Not after arrival and during check-in. For what it's worth, this isn't even in a part of the city where parking is an issue. There are multiple shopping centers and strip malls directly boarding the hotel with open and free parking lots.

Let me say for the price you can’t find a better room. The room was very spacious much like the Embassy by Hilton. Very clean, you can tell the staff takes pride in their service and professionalism. Here’s where I had a problem the a/c system was not working right and we’re in Phoenix! The front desk did allow me to check other rooms but it was the same situation. Other guest had the same complaint. When talking to one of the other guest he informed me that it was an ongoing issue. To add to the heat the fire alarm went off in the entire hotel waking the guest. Parking is not free, you have to pay $12 per night to a third party company via QR Code. I really like the location near some decent food spots, but the a/c has to be corrected.

The shuttle to the airport was great. The driver was helpful and was a safe driver. The room was roomy and clean. However, the hot tub was not hot—it was lukewarm at best—and the jets did not work correctly. They splashed you in the face, which was a bit disappointing.

Great property and staff, the air conditioning for the property was way too loud. Coffee shop and bar are not open and have not been in years… that was part of the reason we selected the property. Fix your description because that is not accurate, and very misleading.

Although the pictures on here show a nice pool that we were excited to get some sun and cool off in, the pool was a nice shade of green and cloudy. I asked the front desk the first day if there was anyway for it to be cleaned and they said they would put in a request but on our last day, the pool was still not swimmable….definitely learned my lesson, go a little more expensive on the rooms if you plan on using the amenities!

Our room smelled like marajuana. Lots of transients surrounding the gated hotel doors. Six person room had two sets of towels and no sofa bed sheets. Very displeased with cleanliness and having little ones made it extremely unpleasant.

Room had muggy moldy smell to it. You could here someone slamming a door or dropping something all night. Main door was not sealed on the bottom. Curtains were gross. Front lobby and entrance was conpletely different from the room. Beds were comfortable. When I turned the heat on black stuff cane out of the vents. They do not accept cash at this location at all which was an inconvenience.

The room was in need of some updating and repairs. A large chunk of the ceiling texture missing, paint chips, throughout and mold in the bathroom. We also found cockroach which must be normal as the front desk didn’t bat an eye when we told them. . The room was also very dark in decor and lighting. We arrived at night and had to stumble through the dark room to try to find a light as there were no switches by the door that worked. The grounds looked like they were nice but we didn’t have a chance to check them out aside from walking to our room.

I usually don’t do reviews, but I believe people need to know what happened to us in this particular hotel, I traveled with my family, we arrived late and tired, we just wanted to go to bed, pull out the sheets and found a few pubic hairs, obviously whoever did the room didn’t change the sheets from the previous stay, that’s just plain nasty, lucky for us there was one housekeeping lady still in the last minutes of her shift, she was very helpful, change all the sheets and kept apologizing for someone neglecting their job, this sucks because I’ve stayed in many different Holiday Inns in a couple different countries and they’re always clean, so please check your bedding if you ever stay here.

We checked in and the room was hot.had maint come and they assured me it would be cool in a couple of hours.9pm. Still hot. Maint came and said hed be back. Havent seen him. Opened the sliding door to outside and it fell off. I am NOT paying for this.

I did not like the layout of the bathroom. Vanity was open to the bedroom area and turning on lights when someone is asleep is not good. Worse was the toilet and bath area. Very small and little space to turn around and get dressed after stepping out of shower.

If your room is at the back of the facility, they have a huge area with transformers that buzzed ALL night. I called front desk and their response was “ we can’t hear it from over here”. Needless to say we didn’t get much sleep. When checking out I told the concierge about the loud buzzing. She already knew about it. Try the Marriot down the street.

Great stay, the front desk manager was very friendly and provided excellent customer service. Breakfast was a but pricey but definitely include it when booking and kids eat free. Overall, still a great stay that we decided to stay another night and the manager accomodated the change very well and was able to keep our same room. Will return again.

STAY AWAY! After charging my card for $250 deposit- they then charged me an additional $561.23 for a SMOKING fee after I checked out. I am a lifelong NON-SMOKER, and visibly pregnant. This is unethical, unprofessional and has happened to multiple people per their reviews. Corporate IHG has escalated the case, and property still refuses to refund.

The front desk gave someone else the key to our room. My wife was taking a nap while we were at the pool. After we decided that we were going to check into another hotel. They refused to work with Expedia to issue a refund as they said they would. Don’t stay here

We drove about 3.5 hours and arrived at the hotel around 9:30 pm - extremely tired about 6 hours of driving and sightseeing that day. We arrive and when I give the man my name to check-in, he says “um, you will have to get another hotel. We are sold out.” Mind you, I reserved the suite for me and 5 friends MONTHS ago. It’s 9:30 at night and everywhere close by had no rooms. He comes back to say that he can give us two rooms side by side but that the air is not working well in those rooms. He also stated that he would have fans brought up. Reluctantly, we accepted the rooms since we really had no choice. In my room, toilet was still dirty. Picture included. Also, while my room received a fan, my friends did not. They even called back down there to ask for a fan, was told it would be up and then it still never arrived. I asked that evening to be credited for not only their mishap of giving my suite to someone else but downgrading us to a room with limited air. I was told I had to speak to supervisor but was told she wouldn’t be in until 11. Considering I was downright exhausted and had an early morning flight, I did not have it in me to wait up another hour to complain. They should have known they gave my suite to someone and called us ahead of time. We could have stopped along the way. Horrible horrible horrible customer service.

House keeping not thorough, I had to request multiple times for our room to be cleaned, and when they cleaned, they weren’t good. Trash not taken out, tables, sinks counters not cleaned, things not picked up. Television not working, had to ask twice to be fixed, even when it was fixed it was still not working well, maintenance guy said he would bring a new remote and we never heard from them. Restaurant: It was great that kids ate free but staff were not consistent on how many kids and when they ate free, sometimes we got charged, other times one kid ate free and other times two of them ate free. It was so inconsistent. Front desk not welcoming, they don’t explain how things work at check in, when I called for house keeping services, the front desk told me she did not work in housekeeping and didn’t know the procedure if we were to be serviced, she advised I leave a msg for a housekeeping supervisor (omg), I have to ask for her supervisor to get me more information. I travel quite often and honestly I was very disappointed in this hotel.

Convenient to the Desert Botanical Garden which we visited the next morning. Otherwise a usual chain motel room. Staff was good, luggage carts had a mind of their own, very difficult to move around, but at least they were available.

The property was beautiful overall, a very nicely run hotel. However, there were no USB ports in the room and the complimentary coffee in the lobby was disgusting, brown water I believe. I was forced to purchase a $20 breakfast just to have a good cup of coffee. The area around was a bit rough. I know real estate bear the airport is cheaper but this was on a whole new level.

The only positives I have for this stay is that the staff was friendly and helpful. The check in and check out was easy. The location was close enough to downtown (where we needed to be) and also close to Costco, Fry's and other food options. Lastly, thank god the air conditioner worked well and kept us cool. However, the pictures online for this property are not accurate. Our room was very outdated, dark, and old. It had a damp smell and the sink faucets barely turned on and off with ease. There was not a full size fridge or a burner. The couch in our livingroom made us question whether or not we should sit on it before covering it first. The fire pit area shown doesn't even have couches, just a couple of chairs and benches. Lastly, breakfast was included in our stay and the attached restaurant looks current and nice...however, take your expectations and subtract 100 points. The breakfast tables were not clean, almost every saucer and cup at our table was dirty. The oatmeal had a crust on it, like it had sat all night from the day before. The brown sugar was hard. There were choices of eggs that looked good, but they were cold. The bowls for cereal and oatmeal were so small you would have to fill it 5 times to make a decent bowl. We thought they were coffee cups. The worst part is that they were charging people $16.95 if they did not have it as a part of their stay. Highway robbery.

Friendly staff, easy re airport shuttle, enjoyed the pool and landscaping. There were different prices for breakfast (cheapest with reservation, $10 per person at front desk, $15 if at the restaurant.)Similar to the free breakfast many hotels have. And there was no local shuttle. But parking was much cheaper than other nearby hotels.

person that checked me in barely looked at me and spent more time talking with other employee than myself during check-in. Bar pictured in photos has not been open for 4 years. room smelled like smoke. Shower temp lukewarm. barely tolerable. beds comfy. rooms nice size. overall won't be back

Nice room, spacious, clean, nicely decorated. The food was great at Burger Theory. I would have liked a 2nd choice like listed on website. Also some things on website they didn't have - they don't have a rooftop garden, only one restaurant not 2. The pictures show rooms with mountain views but I didn't have. (I asked after the fact so not their fault but there are limited mountain views). Otherwise, it was very nice for a 3 star hotel. Helpful and nice staff especially Chris in the restaurant (breakfast time) & Maddie at the front desk. Loved the lobby, Court yard, pool even though I didn't go in, gym etc.

Parking lot was full couldn't find a space. Only one mirror in the room, couch was uncomfortable and no privacy sheers under curtains facing the parking lot. Restaurant was disorganized and under staffed, no Coffee, no orange juice, no glasses, tables were dirty.
