Comfort Suites Bakersfield

The gym/workout facility is a little of a joke. Other than the standard cadio equipment, it was REALLY lacking. The little weight machine was pretty much useless. There were no towels, an area for towels but none there. How hard is that to do? I didn't see water.

The elevator didn’t work🙁. I was as on the 3rd floor

The elevstor was broke, so we had to carry our luggage up one flight of stairs.

Room was prepaid. Not told that at check in there would be a $100 "incidentals" and it would take 1 week to refund it. The pool area is a mess. Weeds and water bugs out at night.Broken ADA lifts. Area needs swept and washed. Large pigeon poop smeared on 3rd floor window. Same cup of old coffee on BBQ from Fri-Sun.Room was very nice.Not concerned about construction materials adjacent to pool,I get that. I get pool deck is in need of rehab. Just sweep it up. Hire pest control and pool weeds

Need more parking space

There was very little parking available this time. There was a large diesel truck blocking 5 spaces . Was a little inconvenient but we managed and enjoyed our stay .

The main parking lot is small but the overflow parking was fine, just wish there was more lighting in that area

Hot tub faucet need to get repaired

Very disappointing experience...and be careful! I was specifically looking for a hotel with a hot tub. I called ahead to make sure the hot tub was in order as I am recovering from a back injury and really wanted a soak. Upon arrival, we attempted to go in the hot tub but the water was literally scalding hot. My husband went to the front desk to tell them of the danger and see if it was possible to turn down the temperature. The response from the desk clerk was “no, but it would only be open for ½ hour longer anyway.” I attempted to come in after my husband and found that I was trapped in this outdoor pool area. The door within the 6 ft fence surrounding the area only opens from the outside or by reaching your hand over from the inside. But at 5’2”, I could not reach the lock. The original handle, which would have been at waist height, was missing as there was a large hole in the door. My husband let me out and we both went to the desk. I nicely tried to encourage the fellow on duty to go feel the water as I was concerned someone, especially a child, would be burned. He said, “ Oh I can’t. I am not allowed.” He said he would let maintenance know for the morning, but made no move to close it that evening. Regarding being locked in, he commented that it had crossed his mind about someone being able to get out and that he would mention that to the manager too. Bed was good though the older air conditioner unit loud. Breakfast included but not high quality.

Property sits right off freeway, but far enough away you don’t hear the noise. Upon entry, the most agreeable staff I have ever met greats you with a cheerful “Hello” followed by a quick check-in and room assignment. Room was very clean and organized. This chain really has it figured out … their attention to details is impressive especially since they view it from the customer’s eyes not a profit/loss sheet. Little things like two full rolls of toilet paper built right into the wash room counter along with tissues being at the other end also built in so you can always find them. Unique room design has large room divided in half like it was a suite. Divided room has an open wall with arches and columns giving the room a spacious and expensive feel to it. One half has a nice couch and coffee table layout with a view of the large television, while the other half has a large bed and dressers for your clothes along with a large closet hidden behind a full length mirror. Room comes with an ample amount of appliances: hair dryer, microwave, coffee maker, all tucked into shelving custom made for their nesting spots. A desk, dresser, and luggage bench round out the room while wash room has a plethora of cosmetics all in their own dispensers attached to the walls giving you ample counter space. All this comes with competitive pricing and a free breakfast included. Parking is ample and well lit. Several excellent restaurants are within walking distance. A great choice.

Girl at front desk wasn’t friendly or welcoming at all when we checked in Once in the room I sat on the couch to relax and I started feeling something on and off my legs.. there were fleas!!!! Totally disgusting! Not staying there ever again!!

Room and elevator smelled of cigarettes. Hallway smelled. Elevator looked like a crime scene. WiFi was restricted, no videos, no podcasts.

Roaches. Me and my colleague stayed in a couple rooms here, we found roaches. Asked to be moved to a different room, more roaches. Moved hotels, didn’t get a refund

The room was clean and fresh. They held our rooms even though we came in at midnight, plus helped up with a parking spot since the parking lot was full. Everyone was very pleasant and upbeat.

It was in a center of many hotels, clean, no homeless-person area. Workers were friendly. Rooms were clean except one orange-yellow stain on the bottom side of the toilet bowl, which was the only letdown. Overall a comfortable stay.

Elevator was dirty Room was musty and dirty The hallway was filthy Unclean and unsafe I did not stay I got another hotel that’s how bad it was.

I got bed bug bites all over in the inside of my thigh legs. It was gross and manager never called me back or was not concered. Please check their mattress. This was very painful and needed to be treated by a doctor.

Comfortable bed...but the room smell bad like mold , it made cough and very difficult to breathe during our stay.

I was excited to book this room when I saw it had a rating of almost 9 out of 10. The room was good sized. Seemed a bit out dated. The thing that was odd when I got to the room. The tv co ax was disconnected from the cable box I called down to the front desk to ask why I didn’t have tv respection but the phone was busy and busy.so I investigated and found the co ax not connected , popped it on and it was working. The clock was also unplugged. You would think those things would be checked before before someone checked in. The gal at front desk was nice and friendly. I would say this was a so so experience.

Right on freeway, so loud. Otherwise, good inexpensive room

as soon as i logged on to the hotels internet a virus took control of my PC freezing it up. I spent 5 hours fixing the damage and reinstalling apps on the device stay away from this hotel if you plan on using the internet they provide. I talked to the person at the front desk and they were no help.

Room was spacious, bathroom counter was large. Wash cloths were provided. soap and shampoo dispensers working and next to the shower. Breakfast was a bonus.

The Wi-Fi there is sooooo BAD!!! if you’re there for work DO NOT stay here the internet is VERY VERY BAD I had to use my hotspot the ENTIRE time I will not be coming back here.

I want to start by saying the staff were friendly, professional, and made every effort to improve our stay. Unfortunately, we ended up canceling our reservation after one day. We were in town for a family need, and I had to work from the hotel during the days. When we first entered our room it looked like the bathroom hadn’t been cleaned and the toilet was filthy. When I alerted the staff they informed me it was clean, however during a recent remodel their contractor had left grout splatter all over the toilet. I understood and thanked them for the explanation. This room was located next to the fitness center and two families brought their young children in to socialize. They weren’t using the fitness equipment, but were banging on the machines and talking. The walls were so thin we could hear every word of the conversation. I inquired if the guests could be alerted to the disruption and was told there was nothing they could do, so I asked to move rooms. Our new room, also newly remodeled, was equally poor. The lights were wired incorrectly and either all came on, or none did. The outlet next to the bed sparked when I plugged in my phone, and didn’t charge. More grout smeared around the bathroom and the toilet wouldn’t flush unless you poured more water in the bowl. The final straw was the inability to connect to internet which I needed for work. Their IT tried for 45 min with no success. It was all too much and we had to leave. Pros: location, breakfast, & comfy beds

Very soft comfortable beds and pillows!

Place was very loud. Lots of banging & slamming doirs in the middle of the night. Water pressure in shower was terrible and water luke warm

Check in was easy. Staff was so friendly and even served breakfast earlier than the scheduled time since we had an early baseball game.

I had to take care of my late-mother’s estate so I wanted an inexpensive place. Monee (Monet?) greeted me, “Welcome how are you?” I told her I was exhausted and wanted a quiet room so she upgraded me to a larger rear room, I told her the reason for the trip and I missed my mom. She was so kind and we chatted when I saw her in the mornings at the desk. Thanks for making my stay brighter!

Staff is friendly and helpful. Facilities are nice. Convenient location. For the price it's a good value. Tasty breakfast.

2nd visit and it was just as enjoyable as the first. The gentlemen that checked me in went beyond to make sure I had the room I requested. Front desk personnel, the breakfast staff and breakfast, clean rooms are why I will always stop when in Bakersfield

The hotel was in a convenient location and away from the HWY 99 freeway so it was quiet especially in the rooms. The facility was clean and the front desk person was very helpful

I stay at this property frequently. Excellent breakfast. Staff is friendly and efficient. Plenty of free parking and minutes away from downtown and lots of great restaurants.

Convenient. Use this property always when travelling. Like I can walk to Black Angus. Easy access to freeway.

great location in bakersfield

The facility is very clean. The breakfast needs to be changed up . The same menu everyday. The sink and toilet drained very slow.

Room was great. Had couch and desk. No phone. Didn’t hear the outside, but can hear people in the halls. Need better quality eggs, sausage for included breakfast. They had cereal, juices, waffle maker, yogurt etc. would stay again.

This property had everything that you expect from a Comfort Suite....plenty of room with hooks for towels, bathroom counter space for toiletries, comfortable bed, excellent breakfast kept well stocked and eating area very clean. Best CS I've ever stayed at.

The breakfast buffet was not gluten-free friendly and the powdered eggs and sausage was terrific.

The only thing we were disappointed in was the breakfast. We have had very many such breakfasts where you are offered bacon or sausage with scrambled eggs and coffee, toast and cereal. Most have been pretty good. It was not the case at this hotel. There was no effort to make this breakfast tasty. The eggs had the same consistency and taste as wet cardbord. The coffee was the worst we have ever had. They had some kind of gross spread that was supposed to pass as butter. I feel they could have done better. The rest of our stay was fine apart from this.
