The property is gated but the gate was wide open . My room was at the end of the corridor by a gate that men were going in and out at will right a my door and a group of young came to my door banging and Iknocking on window I had my pet and she would not stop barking at the strange men, I felt unsafe and I could not see my car from my room after I calmed her down I repacked my car and went to front desk and explained what had happened and I could not stay. They just said we will look at cameras. No refund.

The hotel is surprisingly crummy. Just ugly and dirty and in an ugly blighted area of Bakersfield. No water in the pool. The ice machine costs two quarters and it looked broken! The room was ok and the ac worked great!

Liked that it was gated, and locked. Also was very clean and comfortable. Faucet for bathroom was wiggling all over and loose, but kitchen area was used and worked fine. Air conditioning was awesome, slept well!! Ty

Stayed one night; solo female traveler. Security gate and property fencing was good. Room was clean and with full size refrigerator. It appears some of these rooms are rented as extended stay to lower income people. I felt marginally safe. No breakfast offered but Starbucks and Burger King are next door. Maybe I would stay here again as super cheap price. Arrive, sleep, shower and leave.

AC worked, parking easy

The room itself was clean and the front desk staff was pleasant shower was hot. The location itself was in a rougher part of town. Large gate around the facility and you must have gate code or be buzzed in to access the motel. Appeared to have a large unhoused population in the area and could hear yelling/ disturbances from the room. Deadbolt for room was broken. Had I been traveling solo wouldnt have stayed.

The rooms were so dirty, stains on the bed, blood on the shower curtain, roaches, smelled like dog urine, and no other rooms were available. So I did not even stay, left 2 hrs after check in.

Do not stay in room 219. It smelled like sewer and when I tried to tell the front desk to ask for another room they said it wasn’t possible and I was told they were fully booked. The toilet was wobbly and there was a hole at the bottom of the floor if it was misaligned. There was also a stain on our sheets and dried epoxy on the floor. Unsure where that was from.

I stayed for only two hours and left - yes, it was that bad! The front desk clerk was the most dismissive person that I’ve ever encountered in my decades of frequent traveling. He flat out refused to deal with the partying/door slamming/traffic to & from the room next door. Nonstop talking and TV noise pouring through the walls at 2AM. His response was “they paid their money, it’s their ‘house’ and they can do whatever they want. The condition of room was beyond tragic: stains in the tub; filthy floors; tiny, cardboard-like towels with holes in them; and a very old and uncomfortable mattress. Oh, and there’s more! A paranoid crackhead was wandering around the supposedly-secure parking lot. He came up on me and started rambling nonsensically about people at the hotel who were out to get him. I mentioned him to the desk clerk, and that he was not a guest, and of course he did nothing, saying only that there was no security that night. The were also two homeless men hanging out in the road median in front of the hotel with their shopping carts There is NOTHING good about this place. It’s dirty; it’s unsafe; the service is deplorable; the neighborhood is sketchy, and they let unsavory guests do whatever they wish at all hours of the night. STAY FAR AWAY from here!

Staff was friendly and the room seemed moderately clean except for the long brown hairs on the folded bath towels. The mattress was extremely thin and uncomfortable and all night we could hear people opening and closing their room doors so we got no actual rest. The parking lot is secured like a prison yard by PIN code, you can’t even walk on the property without entering through a PIN entry gate which is nice but at the same time made me second guess the area I was staying in. Would I stay again or recommend it to someone, absolutley not.

The room I stayed in smelled pretty bad, room 216. The mattress was pretty worn out too. Everything else was okay for the price, but the room did smell.

Average everything. Kindof low water pressure in room. Faucet in sink loose and cold/hot lines reversed. Water damaged floor planks in bathroom. Walls thin, so you hear people outside. All in all just average. Would be back again IF no other alternatives, and if price was right.

Good clean rooms for the price. Comfortable beds. Gated parking lot which is a plus. I'm glad i booked and would stay here again.

I love that it seems renovated and it was definitely clean. Their A/C was able to cool me down during the historically hot summer days for the area, which I appreciate as someone with weather sensitivities. I love that there is gated parking as it seems like the area around is not high-end, but as someone who grew up in a not so luxurious way.. I felt fine. Those more familiar with the area may be able to speak on the safetiness better but nothing happened to me or my belongings! There were folks with families with children playing outside and all so I’d say it was a pretty safe area despite the block appearing a little run down and in need of some tender love & updating. Bakersfield seems like an affordable, charming place outside of the summer time heat & I’m glad this hotel provided me a place to explore and rest my head while here.

Very spacious. Very clean. Separate washroom. Huge granite vanity. 2 chairs & a table in a separate eating area. Big fridge w/freezer. Great food prep area w/ss sink separate. No staff after 6pm. Locked gate w/combination keypad access. Questionable part of tow.

When you have to surround the property with a 10 ft tall security fence...you're not inspiring a lot of confidence. The bed was clean and reasonably comfortable but that was about the end of what I enjoyed. I asked for non-smoking rooms and was told that the rooms I got were indeed NON-SMOKING rooms. However, one of the rooms was not only obviously smoked in, but it also smelled very strongly of pets. The other room had been smoked in but then some kind of chemical had been used in the room to remove the smoke smell...unsuccessfully. Which meant, now not only did it smell like smoke but every breath also burned of chemicals. The bathroom door handle almost fell off in my hand when I went to close the door. Being right next to the freeway, the noise was felt. But even more than the freeway noise was the noise of dogs. At 10-11pm dogs in a nearby room were not only barking buy howling. I really don't expect much from a cheap hotel...but I do expect more than this. I won't be back.

The owners are very nice its clean its safe and its not right next to a freeway very spacious room great place to stay overall my only critique is that the tv had not great selection of channels and remote was hard to use but this place exceeds expectations for the price. So i dont care about the tv nearly fullsized fridge n freezer nice hot shower

Decent stay for a short night sleep. Dated property, but was very usable clean for me. Okay for a cheaper stay on the way to Sequioa national park.

I did not realize this was an extended stay when I booked it, but it was darn near perfect anyway. There were obviously folks who lived there and smoked pot. I wasn’t worried about security but I’m not a fan of the smell. To be clear, the smell was outside and our room did not smell at all. It was immaculate. The room was fabulous. Spacious, clean, and the air conditioning worked on a really hot day over 100°. Motel 6 has done a great job of rebranding their places as clean budget places to stay, with a bit of style. This was basically a studio apartment and it felt really luxurious and nice to walk around on a clean floor. I’ve decided that if you are a budget traveler, you can either have a great breakfast or a great room, but not both. This time I opted for a great room and I’m glad I did.

The room itself was great. Clean, comfortable and a good price. It is located right on a busy street and it is like you are sleeping on a highway. If you are a light sleeper, do not stay here.

Room was very strange with a shower in the corner of the living space. The staff charged us for the room on top of hotels.com and required a $30 *cash* deposit, not credit. The staff said they didnt get paid by hotels.com, so they had to charge us again. If you don't get paid by hotels.com then remove yourself from the site instead of double charging people.

Very friendly Night Staff. And Karan on morning shift was excellent at check out. The property is well lit and fenced. I felt that my car was secure. My room was big and very clean. Everything some that a male travelling solo could need. For the price this will be my new go to when i travel to Bakersfield

I initially reserved my room for 2 days. And then it was nice and an average clean. Yes, on the 3rd day I reserved it and wanted to stay in the same room. The lady I guess at the front desk was very upset. Because online pricing is way cheaper than the walking price. But by me I already been comfortable I went on and paid the extra 60 bucks. Which made no sense when I was already staying at the property, as well as already paidor I would have had to check out and check back in at 3 PM so inconsiderate and inconveniencedean com. The next day because I wanted to stay and I just felt like paying $60 was like way too much, especially if I already paid and staying in the same room so right at checkout time. She did not want to give me my $30 deposit back on top of that. She lied and made of something freaking. Scares of why she's not going to give me my deposit so if you want to be ripped off paying these deposits and so on and so on. Be my guess going up there, the lady. At the front desk older lady. She is very rude, disrespectful and very inconsiderate. So now I'm having to speak with Expedia to try to get A. Refund for my money. Because I would not be staying at a place that I am uncomfortable at and spending my hard-earned money.

The service is bad. To check in at night you will have to go to a window and they provide a poor service. Then I got my keys (they only provide 1 key, when normally is 2 keys) then the key wasnt working, so I had to go back to the window to get it active. Then the next day I had to go and active it AGAIN!!!... the hotel floor was kinda dusty. The window only has 1 curtain and that makes the room to be very bright. Which is bad. Some people might like bright room or dark, so they should put something on the window to have to option to make it dark. And the noise from outside is way to loud. If feels like you were inside with the door open, it makes no different if you have the door close or open. The noise from outside is the same... and I'm not trying to be rude. But the office smell like onion, and its very strong.

I was not sure if I was going to stay for two nights and brought this up to the assistant manager at the hotel. She told me that I would not have any problems if I planned staying the 2nd night. Just to check in the front office before 11:00am and let them know I would stay an additional night and who I spoke with and everything would be sorted. No additional fees as you always have to pay a deposit. Anyway the following morning before 11:00am I decided to stay an additional night, but the owners wife told me that she was going to charge me $25 dollars to go back to my room ( as all my belongings were still inside the hotel room!!) Or I had to wait for checkin time 3:00pm!! Which I would have to wait outside my room for 4-hours! She would not budge so I had to come up with an additional payment on top of that as well as the room cost was more money for the extra day/night!!? All about money and she did not care to honor what I was told. I use to go there, but not sure if I would go back.

This place by far. I mean, by far this is the best motel I've stayed in ever actually, and believe me, I should know me and my mother are currently living in motels and um, uh, not one compares to this place. They're very compassionate, very understanding, very clean and just super nice people. I definitely recommend this place.

Again, the place is nice...and Starbucks is 50 yards away. But there are tweakers, hookers etc. They left me alone (and I have a fancy car) ... So that is good.

This place charges outside fees that they only accept in cash, which should say enough right there. I rebooked the same room for the same day, but was charged an extra $20 in cash just to stay between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m.—even though check-in was the same day in the same room.

The hotel is gated because the neighborhood is rough and noisy. The room needed to be cleaned there was visible large trash everywhere. The heater was not working and it was a cold night.

We were traveling back home and I was convalescing and needed something practical. We chose it because of the rating, but the parking lot was full and our car was far away. The parking lot felt unsafe even though it had security bars.

I had immediate concerns when I saw the tall security fencing and a gate at the entrance. It doesn't seem like a high-crime area, so it might just be hyper-protective management. The room was decent. Nothing special, but it did have a nice mini-kitchen. The refrigerator was medium-sized and the sink was small. Nothing for cooking other than a microwave. The wi-fi signal was strong. I never needed to use the air conditioning, but the heater worked very well. The bed was comfortable and furnishings were what you might expect in a budget property. Everything was in good condition with a few exceptions. The bathroom door had heavy water damage at the bottom. The bathroom sink was missing its faucet aerator and drain stopper. The bed sheets and pillowcases looked old. The fabric was no longer smooth. Worn but not quite worn out. The flooring looked nice, but it needs cleaning. It didn't take long for the dirt to show on my socks after walking around with my shoes off. Would I stay here again? No. It's easy on the budget, but some obviously long-term guests had loud conversations and some arguments. The room's soundproofing is weak.
