The rooms on second floor required for us to bring our luggage through the stairs, elevator was not available to bring our luggage to our room. Hotel setup is strange. The rooms were cleaned and comfortable. Breakfast was alright.

This place is absolutely beautiful. Only issues were the view I paid for was a Vineyard view and it was not. I understand it’s based on availability but there was only one other room being used the night we were there. The other was the hot tube was under construction which we planned to use.

My family had a great experience. We enjoyed the gym, game room, and hot tub. The room was on the small side but we had space for our luggage. The restaurant on site served tasty good portioned meals and the included breakfast was amazing, although it doesn’t open before 7am.

The one and only issue i had, was the fitness room. The machi es are broken and are not complete. Missing parts etc etc. Thats the only 1 problem that i had personally. Either than that i give it a 9.5 out of 10

Beautiful boutique hotel undergoing renovations from recent conversion of Best Western. The rooms were beautifully redone and all brand new, although the bathrooms could use an update. Nevertheless, the charm is definitely there. Gas fireplaces are a highlight in all rooms. Free hot breakfast buffet is a huge plus, especially considering the price per night. The downstairs bar has live music on Friday/Saturday nights and gets pretty lively. We had a great time and will definitely be back. Very relaxing weekend.

The property desperately needs an update. Housekeepers need to put more time into cleaning. I did not notify anyone because it was just an overnight stay but I found multiple insects in my bed and around the nightstand. I do not know what a bedbug looks like so I didn’t want to make any accusations. It wasn’t ants or spiders so I guess I’ll never know. The sink and bathtub were visibly dirty. Pipes visibly rusty. This room was a handicap accesible double queen room. Room was too far to expects handicap guests to have to walk in order to reach other services. Ridiculous. Getting from room to parking lot shouldn’t be a 15 minute journey . The only saving grace was the breakfast and the sweet lady working the front desk in the lobby. I would never stay here again unless I get word it’s been demolished and rebuilt for modern patrons.

Booked hotel based on reviews. Check-in was not a great experience. There was an event at the hotel which meant the car park and grounds were full and the pool was effectively out of bounds. The room was small and shabby (cracked sink, chipped furniture etc) and the balcony looked over messy back yards. Self-service breakfast was good.

This property is presently undergoing construction, but I found the place to be clean and very nice. Bummed about the appetizers were not available but a restaurant was close by. Our room was clean, although the carpet should be replaced, which maybe during construction it will. The chalking around the bath tub needs to be redone and the bathroom fan was noisy and did not really work. Beds were clean and comfortable. Maybe an extra blanket would have been nice as it was cold during the night and morning. Breakfast was great.

This property is very nice and I'd recommend it if you are visiting the Big Bear Lake ares. The room was wonderful with a nice balcony/outdoor seating and a fireplace in the room. They also have a nice bar for a drink after the day and before retiring for the night and a wonderful breakfast "spread".

I really loved the room—super cozy and the bed was incredibly comfortable. The fireplace added a nice touch and made the space feel warm and relaxing. Definitely one of the better rooms I’ve stayed in for a mountain getaway. That said, the lobby was… interesting. The decor felt very dated and over-the-top, with an overwhelming number of tacky chandeliers. One small area had around 20 pink chandeliers clustered together—it was a bit much. Thankfully, the room made up for it. Parking was surprisingly expensive for Big Bear, especially since most places offer free or more affordable options. However, the front desk staff were very kind and ended up waiving our parking fee due to a delay in getting our room ready. All the staff we interacted with were friendly and helpful throughout our stay. Despite the quirky decor and pricey parking, I’d definitely consider staying again just for the comfort and coziness of the room.

Overall this was a perfectly acceptable place to stay that is close the the mountain. We did have noisy people above us however and the heater never shut off. Either on or off which made it either hot or cold. The desk people were very nice however.

We got a balcony on the 2nd floor the screen door was broken. The A/C didnt cool the room so we kept the balcony door open, having to adjust the broken screen. These were reported. The desk staff and servers were excellent. Friendly and knowledgeable on the nearby restaurants and tours.

The staff was very nice and tried to get us an early check in when we arrived. The room was clean and spacious for all of our winter packing/gear. We loved the fireplace and balcony to enjoy the view and warmth at the same time. Breakfast was a lovely spread of hot foods, pastries, and beverages. I would definitely return! The only flaw is that the rooms/doors are thin. There was a noisy crowd in the middle of the night and we heard them down the hall for a few hours before they went to bed, but that's not the hotel's fault by any means.

Main problem for me was with the reception staff there is only one old lady working. It took us 45mins to checkin. Staff is not friendly, reception person is in stress and any request asked she feels we are making her life tough.

Lovely weekend . We had a city wide power outage during our stay and the staff was so helpful with flashlights and lanterns. Before the power went out, piano lounge and bar was so relaxing. Would definitely recommend.

Upon arrival 12:30 pm hotel was not ready. We understood a 4 pm check-in but thought we notify the front desk that we were here. They would call us or text when room was ready. No text no call. Went to lunch, walk town and return to hotel 3:45pm. Room still not ready. By thus time shortly after 4 a number of guests arrived and we’re getting rooms. I stood in line again, but was told my room was not ready again. Mind you it a standard room with king bed and balcony. I told them I would be sitting in the lobby. They will come get me as soon as the room is ready. An hour has now passed and nothing. I finally stood up and the receptionist coming from the dining room, says, OH, you’re still waiting, no one has come to get you. Finally checked in. Exhausted, go to dinner, only to have all the electricity shut off in the entire town. Back to the hotel, no electricity, not sure when it’s due back up. Go to sleep, wake up no electricity still, nothing’s working. No hot water, no lights, no ac, dark room. Go on Hike in hopes of it turning back on. Nothing, decided to check out and go home. Can’t charge room for one night so sending us bill. Pray it’s for one night and not the three nights booked through Hotels.com Nightmare!

I’m a realtor from Orange County who was up looking at property for a client. I was traveling with my amputee service dog, and Penny could not have been more accommodating to me and my pup!! I can’t wait to go back and stay there once I get my property in escrow. Beautiful property and the most friendly staff. The gentleman at breakfast cooking for us was also extremely kind.

Toilet flush was broken as it was refilling the water every 5 min. Room has noise from nearby maintenance room. Despite informing we were told that that is only room they have so we had to deal With it. Also we were not told explicitly about room services that we need to request every day before 10 am. This was annoying because the bed sheets were not changed.

The service in general with many areas of opportunity. The staff is unfriendly, I had many communication issues with them. To be able to talk to someone at the front desk, the wait was very long, they cannot help you requesting transportation to leave the hotel and I am a foreigner, many times my phone number does not work with locals. Every day I had to repeat the requests I made to the cleaning staff because my bedroom was not cleaned.

A beautiful place to stay while in Big Bear. It’s close enough to the Village and Big Bear Laje. The staff and hotel are great and make sure you have all you need. The only inconvenience was all the construction going on around the property but they don’t have control of when the city places those into action.

Got this room for my in laws and they loved the cleanliness, the service, amenities (such as happy hour and breakfast). The pool is really nice too. Overall we would definitely recommend this hotel when staying in Big Bear. Please note, it is near Moonridge so it’s not walking distance to downtown.

Great Little Boutique Hotel in Big Bear! We had a really nice stay at this boutique hotel in Big Bear. Loved staying here. Just a couple of hours away from home and it felt like another world. Quiet and relaxing. Nice pool. All the employees we came in contact with were very friendly. The daily breakfast was amazing. Lots of seating and great spread/choices. We took advantage of the game room, played Pool and table hockey (both my favorite) they also have other table game (soccer) and game boards. Room was clean and comfortable. Used two of the bathrooms in the main floor which were also very clean and well stocked. Will definitely be back!
