Very nice motel. Only complaints are no microwave and no coffee machine in the rooms. There are 3 floors but no elevators. Carrying up bags can be a chore if a 3rd floot room. Great location and staff is very friendly.

We loved that there was a restaurant at the hotel. (Make sure to make a reservation a day or two before going.) The room was great. Gym was nice. Loved that there was a private beach. Pool and sauna were great. Amazing location (walking distance to The Village). We’ll be recommending this hotel to all our friends and family. Looking forward to our next stay here!

Staff wasnt at the front desk, landscaper were very noisy right outside our balcony all day which prevented us from using it, pool and sauna were closed. No coffee maker in room. Room keys didnt work numerous times.

Renovations are supposedly happening although no one appears to be working. No pool. No ice. No coffee in rooms. No landscaping. Great location on the lake. Walking distance to the village. Price took all that into consideration.

Paid resort fee however most amenities were not working during my stay. I specifically came for a hot tub, but it was cold. Not working, later had caution tape around it. The pool was very dirty as well. The tv did not seem to work. The sauna was excellent but it required me to heat it up for an hour on my own each morning. Cold plunge was broken as well. Internet was good and the place is gorgeous, the staff were so kind, so overall it was very nice, but missing some key things.

The Property was just recently remodeled, so I know that they are working out the glitches. The bathroom door kept sliding open it is one of those barn doors. SO would not lock. Kinda hard when there are two of you in the room. The patio chairs were too big for the time patio. It was a shame that the pool or the jacuzzi was not open yet would of loved to experience the option to be able to use the pool.

This is a fantastic location! Right off the lake, across the street from the Village, walking distance to Pine Knot Marina. We barely drove because we didn’t need to. Loved having a balcony with lake view, the outdoor set up was great. Areas of improvement: towels are needed in workout room & more often in pool area. The hot tub isn’t hot, warm at best, our room keys often didn’t work at the pool, same for most guests. It took all day to get our room freshened every day. We’d put our sign out at 8am or earlier & it took until 4 or after. There’s no drawers in the rooms for clothes. They don’t check the balconies. Ours had spiderwebs & dust all over. We contacted the front desk & they did take care of it right away. All staff was very helpful. We’d definitely stay again for location.

We loved the area, bar, back deck view. The spa and pool was quiet with nearby fire pits. We loved the quick walk to The Village for a nice birthday dinner!

The room is not that bad but live spiders inside their folded bath towels, 3 medium sizes.. Spider webs all over the curtains and dead mosquitos inside windows.. They dont clean the curtains coz those spider webs been there and told the guy in the lobby about it and he acts like he dont care.. Plus no coffee maker in room and when u take a shower, water all over so prepare a towel on the floor..vent in the bathtoom is never cleaned too.

I arrived and when I received my room key the room was DIRTY. I had to wait outside until housekeeping cleaned my room. I was told I’d get a discount for the inconvenience, but that never happened. Coffee machine was broken. The walls are thin so you can hear your neighbors …. Otherwise the staff was friendly & the hotel itself is decent for the area pretty view & access to lake.

Tv reception kept cutting out making tv watching useless. Need better seats for patio. One lounger allows only seating for one. And it’s too low. Hard to get in and out of and leaves the view only through the railing. Should be a couple bar stools so two can enjoy the beautiful view. And what’s with no phone. I get it everyone has a cell phone but that makes it hard to connect to the front desk if you have issues. Nice place. Just needs a few things to bring its rating up

The location is beautiful. We stayed here 26 years ago the weekend my husband proposed. This weekend we celebrated our 25th anniversary here. The only problems were that there is only 1 hook to hang and reuse towels and there were 2 of us. I put mine on the ground hoping it would be replaced by housekeeping but they never came so day 2 I couldn’t shower. Also there was evidence on the floor and wall next to the toilet that the previous Tennant didn’t make it to the bathroom in time. Quite disgusting. Other than those 2 things which were both housekeeping issues the stay was great! The restaurant was great!

Absolutely enjoyed our stay at the Marina Riviera Cabins. The location was perfectly located by the lake where we wanted to stay near by. I was so nervous upon arrival when the hotel was closed for renovations, quick address check let me know our cabin was just across the street. Only downside was the AC not running yet. Amount of space was perfect for us. Kitchen area made the stay more accommodating. Everything was super clean upon arrival. Location is great! Close proximity to any / everything. Will definitely be staying again.

The hotel is pretty modern, lake view is great and the staff were friendly and accomodating - great customer service. The room was not the cleanest. The rug in the room was crumbling so fibers would come off as you walked on it or put stuff down. The air conditioner's filter was very dirty and it was dripping with water puddles on the floor. They did clean the filter during our stay and it seemed to help. It was our mini homeymoon, and they had a nice little snack package for us so that was nice. They also were able to recommend local things to do and have bikes on the property you can use.

There is a lot to like about the Marina Rivera - location is tough to beat & Great Lake views! Easy walk to the village night life area - shuttle available & complimentary coffee - only thing missing is a small table in the room - will visit again soon! Hats off to front desk staff

The hotel is under renovation and the exterior grounds have not been completed. The room remodels include wood, no insulation so that sound is intensified from the other Rooms. The balcony chairs, however nice, are low to the ground, and inappropriate for the size of the balcony..

I planned a last-minute trip to Big Bear and was in a crunch to find a place to stay. Big Bear can be hit or miss with their hotels, as some can be run down quite a bit. I heard good things about the Miraina Riviera from a friend, so I figured I'd give it a shot. Sure enough, it was a hit! It's recently gone through a renovation, so everything is brand new! The decor has a modern cabin feel, which, along with the lake view, makes for a cozy relaxing vibe. The furniture is high quality and the bed is super comfy! Additionally, the Village is literally across the street, so food and shopping are just steps away. My only wish would be for a coffee maker in the room. They provide coffee, but you have to walk to the office in order to get it. That still didn't stop me from having a wonderful time, and I will most definitely stay there again.

I enjoyed myself staying in this cute hotel, so many amenities including sauna , jacuzzi etc and most important there is a lake access from the property. I stayed in king size bed room with a lake view, room was pretty small but I didn’t even mind that , there was few things like lack of closet space, table in a room , or coffee maker , it was dark in a vanity area. So little tweaking is necessary to make the room amazing but overall I would still highly recommend that hotel. Staff was so helpful and kind! 9/10 experience!

I love the hotel, but the walls are very thin and its unbearable when people above you , you hear their TV and you hear every step they take . We had to leave the room early because of that noise, if you want to be on the third floor you have to pay extra money, in my opinion its not fear for any guest who still pays lots of money for the room and still have a bad experience of the noise coming from upstairs, I am very disappointing, the hotel is in a great area, but the noise is unbearable.

Nice view. Only 1 chair on balcony and only 1 chair in room. Light fixtures are in wrong places. No light over sink which is in room not bathroom. Asked staff for an easy favor to get purse left across the street after we left town. “They were too busy taking care of their guests”. I stayed there 2nights. They do not support good customer service.

When this property was the Marina Resort we would stay here for our annual trip to Big Bear. It is nice to see it open again with many nice improvements. Upon arrival we were met by Kayla at check in. She is a true asset to the Marina Riviera. Her personality is perfect for the hospitality industry. She was friendly and inviting. It appears she loves Big Bear by the way she talked about it. Check in was easy and fast. My only negative comment about the location would be there were no instructions on the fireplace or room heater to operate. Kayla had to come in and turn on the fireplace through an access panel below the burner. The wall heater had certain settings that were not outlined on the unit. Parking was plentiful and open which will make it easy to navigate when there is snow. We will definitely stay here again.

I want to give this hotel a great rating because the view was breathtaking and the property itself was lovely. However, our experience started off poorly. We had prepaid through Hotels.com, but upon check-in, the front desk lady told us we had an additional few more hundred “balance” due. At first, I assumed it was just for incidentals, but she insisted it was an actual charge and told us we had to contact Hotels.com to resolve it. This really ruined the first hour of our trip—our first real vacation in two years. Thankfully, after multiple calls, Hotels.com was able to get in touch with the hotel. Eventually, both the front desk lady and the manager apologized and removed the charge. But it was incredibly frustrating and stressful. Our 2-night stay could have DOUBLED!!! That said, once the issue was resolved, we enjoyed the rest of our time and truly loved the hotel itself. Just be very cautious about billing and double-check your reservation details if you book through a third-party site.

They advertise 24/7 front desk attendant (not truth). The phone number they provide on a piece of paper by the door doesn't even work and do not specifies that you need to send txt to it (I did and no reply). The person who rented the room above me woke up at midnight and kept making loud noises dragging something heavy and metallic, I was unable to sleep, and the fact that the hotel advertise 24/7 service and they don't really have it wasn't nice at all.

Beautiful and new, modern - lovely appointed rooms with super bedding, Aesop skin care. Enjoyed the garden with direct access from 1st floor rooms, the pool, amazing location on the lake The Village is 5 minutes away with a variety of dining options. Very dog friendly. For now, no coffee maker or microwave in the room, but there is a small fridge. Staff is very friendly and happy to assist with any requests. Thoroughly enjoyed my stay, i will be certainly back!

This is a great hotel in prime location of Big Bear Lake! The walkability is amazing to downtown but most notable is the view and amenity of the lake. There are some nice amenities but it will be even better once the entire hotel is complete. A just for the summer season with the lake beach for guests. We’ll be back for sure!

Beautiful hotel with lots of amenities. Rooms were clean and well equipped, staff super friendly and helpful. Location is so convenient, right next to Big Bear Village. Only thing is that the walls are super thin, and the quiet hours weren’t checked, so people were pretty loud by the common areas well past midnight.

Not enough wall electrical outlets at the night stand (only one had to unplug the lamp to charge phones). Barn door slide Bath door not wide enough, bruised my arm. No tables to put stuff on, just a bench. Only one chair on balcony. Terrible sewer smell on dining patio deck at the kitchen. Will not return.

Location is good, views are good. Room was clean and the bed was comfortable. However, there was NO in room coffee available, nor any way to heat water for the instant that we brought. I was told there was coffee in the lobby, but the machine was broken, was given a voucher for the bar where no one was working. Also we were on the 3rd floor with no elevator, and as I have asthma was exhausted going up and down.
