This is a renovated motel, so with that in mind, I think it's a bit overpriced. The good: pool and hot tub are nice, decor is fine, had a big TV/mini-fridge/microwave in the room. They have a coffee machine in the lobby that makes lattes, cappucinos, etc, and that was above average. The bad: it's a motel, so it was somewhat noisy when people walked by, and there was no privacy unless the blackout curtains were shut. There were some odd design choices, and the one I liked the least was the bathroom sink, which has a spigot where the water runs down an open trough before coming out (see attached picture ... similar to this, but not exactly this). This is gross. How many people have spit in that while brushing their teeth, and how is it cleaned? Aside from the coffee, the breakfast was pretty basic (store bought muffins/pastries, cereal, fruit).

Really nothing bad about the property or staff. Good place to stay with your family. The pool and hot tub were nice and the workout room was a healthy size and open 24 hrs which we loved. OH! And one GREAT touch from OC... There is a small refrigerator in the workout room and it has super cooled wet towels to use to cool down after a workout. These were awesome! And they were infused with eucalyptus mint. Nice touch OC! Breakfasts are well stocked, but it can get busy. And be sure you get there before the end time because they break the buffet down fast when the time for breakfast ends. If you miss it there is a Starbucks literally just on the other side of their parking lot. :-) Only thing I wish they would upgrade is the refrigerator in the room. It was the really small one and didn't have a freezer area. Not great for a family of 4 staying for 4-5 days.

Breakfast was sub-par and packaged items. The ice machine was broken, and the staff seemed put out when I asked about it. The room above us sounded like they were constructing furniture, but the staff did reach out and it got better. The drinks in their refrigerator for purchase were reasonably priced.

The receptionist and staff were pleasant and helpful. I enjoyed using the hot tub and eating the continental breakfast. The coffee machine was especially nice - it served hot chocolate and latte as well as coffee.

The staff was very friendly. Dated motel that appeared clean, comfortable beds. Off the highway so it was noisy. We were given a room in the back of the motel on first floor. We smelled weed right away but realized it was from the houses behind the motel. Adequate size room with a king size bed. The review I gave was due to the faucet not working properly, the ironing board was dirty and ripped. The iron almost ruined my shirt because it was dirty. The last day the shower wouldn’t drain and a roach scurried out of the bathroom when I turned the light on this morning. This freaked me out and we checked out right after. I’m glad we kept none of our stuff on the floor. I’m sorry to say I couldn’t recommend this motel.

The beds were so uncomfortable and it felt like the walls were paper thin. Could hear anything and everything going on in neighboring hotel rooms and above us. My boyfriend also found hairs on the sheets so that ruined it for him The property is in a convenient location but neither of us slept much that night

The quality of the room is not as advertised. It’s is a Motel, NOT a hotel. Poor location and the cleanliness of the room was terrible. There were hairs in the bed, mold in the shower, and make up on the pillow cases. Sheets were dingy and pillows smelled of sweat and dirty hair. We walked in and walked right back out. We ultimately booked another hotel. It was too dirty for us to sleep comfortably. Not worth the $220 we paid for one night.

There was a bug on the bed that we had to kill when we first arrived. I also got bug bites from sleeping on the bed. Otherwise, the room looks fine. Just bugs and marks on the bed, also found someone else's hair on the bed as well. We didn't use the blanket and put a cover over the bed sheet, just in case.

The room amenities were nice including a waterfall shower, light up mirror, and good toiletries. However, the walls are paper thin. I could hear every mumble, cough, sneeze, and footstep. Got next to no sleep the 2 nights I stayed, and it sabotaged my vacation. I would not recommend this place to anyone that's a light sleeper. Mattress also sucked.

The metal bed frames creaked. If you got out of bed or moved a little bit. It sounds like you’re banging on a metal file cabinet. The walls were thin. Everything else was good. Tv was a nice size, shower was modern, bed matress was firm

The room was excellent, it meet all our expectations. A very nice clean spacious room. The bed, linens and towels were all good quality and comfortable. The property appears to have been recently renovated and updated and the colour schemes are fresh and vogue. The breakfast is a basic continental breakfast with reasonable choices, the coffee was decent for a machine coffee. We would absolutely stay here again. High recommendation.

Property was clean and comfortable. Ample easy parking that isn’t an extra fee. Mini fridge and microwave included in each room. Large tv and a good amount of outlets to charge all the tech. Bathroom door handle was a bit hard to get in and out of but really enjoyed the large rainfall shower head.

I stayed here because it was one of the only hotels close to an event I was attending. Overall it’s clean and well decorated. One huge problem. The AC is so loud it’s impossible to sleep with it on. Could’ve just been my room. But it was frustrating.

Love this place!!! This is as close as you'll get to a resort without the price. Property is well taken care of and rooms are clean. Other "motels" and "inns" in the area are NOT as well kept up and most of them have turned into residential motels with substance abuse programs using them for patients. Not the case here. I stayed here and mixed up my checkout date. They gave me a call when I didn't check out on time (we went out for day activities) and I added another day. Close to Newport Beach waterfront, shopping (Target, Sprouts, Vons, fast food, Walgreens, etc.) and free parking.

Never stayed here until now, I was participating in the OC Marathon and this was walking distance from the expo and the price was more competitive than most. Didn’t expect a lot but this place over delivered. Called the office a few times before my trip to ask some questions and they were incredibly friendly and accommodated my needs. Needed a late check out, no hesitation “yes”, needed coffee in the morning “we open the office early for the marathon people (4am)”, they were just lovely to talk to and deal with and the room suited our limited needs just perfect.

This hotel’s location is amazing! It’s close to the beach, restaurants, and a shopping mall, making it super convenient to explore the area. On top of that, the place felt very safe, which gave me peace of mind during my stay. I would definitely stay here again!

The hotel is near highway 55 and the rooms closer to the street can be noisy. I asked for a room far away and it was a smart request. I hardly heard any noise even with window open. They have coffee machine in the lobby. Overall was a good to excellent experience for me.

I recently stayed at OC Hotel and had a great experience. The room was very clean, comfortable, and well-maintained, which made my stay relaxing. The staff were extremely supportive, welcoming, and always ready to help — their hospitality really made a difference. The breakfast was good with a nice variety of options. I especially enjoyed the coffee from the coffee machine — it was a great way to start the day. Overall, I had a very pleasant stay at OC Hotel and would definitely recommend it to others. I’d be happy to come back again.

Don't expect much for breakfast. Pretty much on your own to find milk,oj, and forks. Also coffee maker looks great. Unfortunately all it seems to serve is americana coffee which is very strong.

This hotel is nicely remodeled . The room had all the conveniences; a coffee maker, fridge, a microwave, iron and ironing board and a hair dryer. Shower was big with a rain fall shower head. The staff were friendly and polite. Breakfast was included which was nice and offered a variety of pastries, fruit, cereal, break fast sandwiches, coffee, juice and yogurt. Would definitely stay again!
